Fenerbahce attack 3:3 Fenerbahce defence

Fenerbahce has lost a very good opportunity to reduce point difference to 5 points with league leaders Galatasaray during Super League 10th week game against Kayserispor with 3:3 scoreline especially taking account it was winning with 3:1 scoreline.

What is even more dramatic from today's game from Fenerbahce view is that it has conceded all of the goals from very simple mistakes with its defenders as it has conceded all goals from them. During 1st goal Roman Neustadtner has made very unbelievable mistake for defender by assisting ball to Umut Bulut, while Luis Neto has scored an own goal without any pressure and at 3rd goal with Hakan Ali Kaldirim needless foul to Deniz Turec. Taking account that both goals has come when Fenerbahce was winning with 3:1 scoreline has also provided that their didnt have enough focus towards game and became too certain at winning game at that moment. As it was mentioned at our blog preview of the game it was important for both attack and defence to play top level football but Fenerbahce defence has once again shown very poor performance and has lost important 2 points at fight for top of the table and does have serious issues right now, which are not easily to be solved. Positive aspects could be shown a good character at bring from 1:0 to 3:1 leadership but after that its only criticism.

Kayserispor meanwhile has got an important point from one of the big teams at the Super League and has put them at the top section of the table and allows them to carry on aiming high for at least until mid-season break. Kayserispor also showed great character of not giving up game after 3:1 scoreline.

Fenerbahce defence once again shows worrying performances and does look like it needs to solve its defence issues until midseason if it wants to have any chances to end season with league title and not repeat fate of last season.

Trabzonspor players start believing that their can perform high level football again.

As been stated at our blog in yesterday entry, Trabzonspor has shown without doubt its best performance against league leaders as it has managed to win 2:1 scoreline and has dominated game from start to an end, carrying its upper hand against Istanbul giants in last 3 seasons.

It was clearly that nearly appointed head coach Riza Calimbay has provided great motivation for its players and also focus to providing top level performane since losing to Yeni Malatyaspor last week. Even through Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor has complained following game about style of play of Trabzonspor, this has mainly been due of fact that this game didnt suit himself. Which just proves how Calimbay greatly has been prepared to game and has used Galatasaray weaknesses, an area which usually brings wins, to its own advantage. In addition to that Trabzonspor players, likely also due of win against Corlu Belediyespor in Turkish Cup, has brought high self-confidence to the team which was visible clearly by the side on the game. Trabzonspor still needs to carry on this performance as it is still 11 points behind league leaders and need to do many thing for to get to upper hand, but yesterday game has shown that mentally their are in right track.

Win against Galatasaray could easily turn out to be a turning point to the team and we would see how it would perform against Kayserispor during 11th week.

Galatasaray domination at the league has been ended in last 2 games. 

In other side of the coin, we are seeing a drop of the performance from Galatasaray during this last 2 weeks as those games has been seen as most crucial games. Galatasaray has only gained 1 point from last week and against Trabzonspor has lost its 1st game and are staying leaders due of cushions it has created in previous 8 games.

As was remembered, Fenerbahce head coach Aykut Kocaman has stated that Galatasaray does go to difficult period in its fixture and this seems to be coming true for now as team needs to show reaction for last 2 games. One of the points is that, and area which was discussed during this season, is that Igor Tudor does have problems at changing things when their not going well during the game and even through it could been stated that Galatasaray are getting tired and hence drop of points, this is critical period for them. One of the criticism is to substitute at 2nd half its best players at the squad Bafetembi Gomis which has affected negative to the team despite of argument that their did find goal and has created more chances. Galatasaray does show some worrying performance lately and its dominance seems to be over in this period of league.

Prior to national team break, Galatasaray would play against Genclerbirligi on 3rd November and would aim for a win or otherwise it might have pretty nervous national team break with aiming to solve issues which are present at the team.
