What happened in Turkish football today? 27/10/2017

Besiktas aims to start winning start at Super League.

Besiktas without doubt would be aiming to win its 1st game after losing points in last 4 games as it would be meeting with Alanyaspor during Super League 10th week game and does have an advantage at not playing game at weekday while Alanyaspor had game at Turkish Cup.

However, there is psychological issue with Besiktas as it would play an important game against Monaco on 1st November at Champions League 4th week game and as it been seen before at Super League, teams tend to lose points before Champions League important games. In fact, this unlucky period for Besiktas at domestic league has started prior to Leipzig game. However, it is known that players are focussing to game differently as their are now 8 points behind league leaders Galatasaray and aware that their need urgently to get win not only tomorrow but also back-to-back at the league. Stating that even through Alanyaspor doesnt seem to be big opponent it is coming with high motivation and self-belief as it got very good results in recent weeks including great comeback against Trabzonspor from 3:0 scoreline. Therefore. it is certain that Besiktas needs to give their best if it wants to win game.

Therefore, this game is more important for its aims at Super League and start getting points rather than what we tend to refer usually for Champions League game as their had shown concentration at two tournaments is very different. Besiktas are coming as favourite tomorrow, but its not that straight-forward.

TFF will add lip-reading as evidence from TV broadcasters for using swearing.

Turkish Football Federation has made an important change at guidelines of Professional Football Disciplinary Committee as it has announced that reading lips from official broadcaster of tournaments would be considered as evidence when making decisions.

This discussion about should this count as evidence or not has been discussed for long but without doubt behaviour of Caner Erkin during Super League 9th week game against Basaksehirspor has become turning point as TFF CEO Yildirim Demioren has stated yesterday that this would be taken as evidence and today TFF has officially stated that rule has been modified with including this. The aim is to reduce swearing used especially towards referee during the games but in country like Turkey it could unfortunately just raise amount of ban and fines to players and clubs. It might work in the future but without doubt it would get long time but it is on right track. It does need to be added that to some extend TV broadcasters might also focus to its too much and hence raising amount of foul language at TV for people who can read lips but probably RTUK would close eyes for that as it is done for common good at short.

This is important change at regulation but as been stated would that help to reduce amount of swearing the time would show.

Premier League teams are interested to buy Badou N'diaye

It has become reported that number of Premier Leagues clubs scouts would be visiting Super League 10th week game betwen Galatasaray and Trabzonspor to view Badou N'diaye and aiming to transfer him at near future.

The teams which are reported to be interested with him are Leicester City, Newcastle United, West Ham United among some and it was known that when he was playing at Osmanlispor he did recieve number of interest from European clubs with his mainly performance at Europa League last season. Even through Ndiaye didnt have direct affect towards scoreline he shown great performance at defensive midfielding position which without doubt has led him to provide top performance. Meanwhile, it is known that Galatasaray also showing good interest with him to sell as it might make profit from his sale and might even sell him double prize from what he was purchased in this summer transfer window.

Badou N'diaye meanwhile would start more forward against Trabzonspor and might show good performance at the game which could make his transfer to one of the Premier Leagues team more likely.
