Caglar Soyuncu goal has both spoilt Galatasaray party and kept their title chances alive for last game.

Fenerbahce has kept its title chances alive after beating Galatasaray at away game with having 1 less man at the field for around 70 minutes and has shown much better attacking and organising game while Galatasaray has provided one of its poor performances with letting supporters expecting to celebrating championship with dissapointment and awaiting next week.

Fenerbahce has shown it wanted to win game from start to ane nd regardless if it has been played with 11 player or 10 players as it did got in questionable manner of Djiku. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has been better side during 90 minutes of the game as it shown organised game at defence as Galatasaray didnt have single shot and with Fenerbahce provided good counterattacks it could actually found even more goals. Fenerbahce did come into Galatasaray stadium with an aim to keep title race until last week and it has managed to do so. Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that Fred has provided strong performance taking leading role at midfield and has created high number of chances by himself. But without doubt main role has been Caglar Soyuncu who has used his opportunity and postponed title winners for next week.

Galatasaray has been seen by many as favourite for this game especially when draw has been enough for them but in such crucial game for them it did provide one of the poor performances as Galatasaray did look to be at the mood that their didnt need to get point at least but have arleady won title and did enter to field as league winners. Galatasaray hence did provide ineffective performance which led for home fans who during whole season has been leaving stadium with victory would be highly dissapointed especially with not winning title and team showing lack of showing strong game which it did show during whole season. Such ineffective performance would be questioned but still title is in hand of Galatasaray and hence it could not lose concentration.

Fenerbahce has done what needed to be done as it has beaten against Galatasaray with strong and confident performance with 70 minutes while being so close to title without doubt did have negative impact. Now Fenerbahce would need to beat relegated Istanbulspor and Galatasaray losing to Konyaspor, while Galatasaray just needs draw.

 Trabzonspor has secured 3rd spot with 1 week to go.

Trabzonspor has managed to get 3rd spot at the standings which means it has qualified to Europe League 2nd qualifying stage and has also regained an important confidence boost for Turkish Cup final game against Besiktas.

Trabzonspor did come to Basaksehirspor with being aware that win would secure them 3rd spot while loss could mean that it could be losing it in last week as both sides would be coming out with same points, this awareness and seriousness has affected final result even through it is hard to state that it did show incredible good performance but it was enough to prevent Basaksehirspor to get into game much. Winning goal meanwhile did come from one of key player of the season Paul Onuachu.

Trabzonspor hence did secure 3rd spot which has been one of two aims for this season and now would focus entirely to Turkish Cup game against Besiktas. 

Besiktas doesnt provide positive view before Turkish Cup final.

Besiktas meanwhile didnt provide very good performance against Hatayspor who are playing to stay at the league as the game has been ended with 2:2 scoreline but it needs to be mentioned that loser has been Hatayspor when looking into performance and also position it is on table.

Hatayspor did come out with must win against Besiktas and did perform accordingly with looking at the chances and did score one and at least with draw has led their chances to stay at the league alive in last week if it would be lucky to some extend. Besiktas didnt provide same focus to the game as it didnt get an upper hand and has been lucky to get 1 point from this game with penalty goal from Gedson Fernandes and doesnt provide too optimistic view with its performance prior to Turkish Cup.

This game and also parallel game played by Trabzonspor with general performance of both sides does show that Besiktas needs to improve if it wants to win Turkish Cup.

Trabzonspor has secured 3rd spot thanks to Paul Onuachu goal.

Trabzonspor has secured 3rd spot with 1 week to go  as it got crucial win against Basaksehirspor thanks to the goal with 1:0 scoreline thanks to goal in the end of the 1st half of Paul Onuachu.

Trabzonspor did come to the game with an aim to win game so it could secure 3rd spot and hence Europa League 2nd qualifying round ticket as it did played against Basaksehirspor who has been behind them with 3 points. It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has provided an effective and attacking game for 90 minutes as it didnt let Basaksehirspor to provide dangerous moments and did find a crucial winning goal from great header from Paul Onuachu. It also needs to be mentioned that with securing its 3rd spot which has been one of main aims in the end of the season it would come out to Turkish Cup final game with a strong confidence against Besiktas as it did provide an effective tactical game without doubt.

Basaksehirspor did come into game as win would let them to keep their chances for 3rd spot alive as it would get into same points with coming to last week but it didnt provide an upper hand of the game which has been expected from them and now would come out to last game against Adana Demirspor for keeping 4th spot as Besiktas is being 2 points behind them.

Trabzonspor therefore has won an important game and now would be aiming to win Turkish Cup against without worrying to much regarding its last week as winning Turkish Cup would mean that it would qualify to Europa League while play-off round.

Besiktas has got got 2:2 draw against Hatayspor at its last game of the season as it has played team to who it was more important to win game as it still fighting for race to stay at the top tier.

With Hatayspor needed to win game and also Besiktas mainly focussing to Turkish Cup final against Besiktas has affected how Istanbul giant has performed and even through it did try to win game, it was visible that it didnt provide full attention on the field both tactically and mentally. Despite of scoreline, hence it could be mentioned that Hatayspor has created much more chances but still in positive note it was important for them to show good reaction when it did concede from Hatayspor twice and even through at the field it didnt show necessarily very good performance it did show some fighting spirit and did show some positive note prior to Turkish Cup final against Trabzonspor on 23rd May.

 Trabzonspor could secure 3rd spot with win against Basaksehirspor

Trabzonspor could secure its 3rd spot and hence qualification to Europa League regardless if it loses Turkish Cup if it manages to win Basaksehirspor while loss could mean risk of losing that position to same opponent.

With 3 point difference between Basaksehirspor and Trabzonspor, both sides would be coming out to very important game for 3rd spot and when looking at form it could be mentioned that Basaksehirspor does look to be favourite as it does provide much more stable but an issue with Trabzonspor that it either shows very good game or not so good and its hard to know what would be form of side even through you would respect them to be focussed to this game. 

Hence, this game will be crucial for both sides but Trabzonspor did discuss about 3rd spot for long time and hence it would be expected for them to be highly focussed.

Hatayspor are being favourites against Besiktas due of aims of both sides.

It would be expected for Hatayspor to be more focussed and willing to win against Besiktas, as this game has been very important for them to stay at the league while Besiktas would focus to reach one step further.

Besiktas has extended contract until 2027 with Demir Ege TIknaz.

Besiktas has extended contract with its youngster Demir Ege Tiknaz until 2027 as player did recieve some playing time during periods when team has been in decline and did show some positive and potential performances.

With Besiktas building new team for upcoming season, it is important for them without doubt also pay some attention to players who are coming from its own academy, and Demir Ege Tiknaz is being one of them and has arleady showed some positive and potential views during game which he has played earlier this season. Aziz Yildirim has announced his CEO candidacy for Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce ex-CEO Aziz Yildirim has announced his CEO candidacy as there would be once again fight for top position at the club after 6 years as Yildirim promises to make once again team which would win title.

During an election which took place back in 2018, there were lots of people within and outside of club who wanted for Aziz Yildirim to lose that election but right now things has changed as Ali Koc has only won 1 title: Turkish Cup 2023 and others he did lose mainly due of some wrong decision by administration. It needs to be mentioned hence that Yildirim chances to win CEO election are pretty high as many people did state that it would been better with him at CEO position which is being his strongest point among generally pushing football team downwards despite of having good squad.

Fenerbahce didnt win title for 9 years and this is being most worrying aspect both of members of club and supporters, and this factor could be playing crucial role in upcoming elections. 

Special One could join Fenerbahce this summer.

Both Aziz Yildirim and Ali Koc are reported to be showing interest and aim to appoint "Special One" as club's head coach as Aziz Yildirim states himself that he did have talks while there are rumours at Ali Koc.

For long time, there has been saying at Turkish football that even if Jose Mourinho would be coaching team in Turkey, he would be criticised, commenting about critical aspect of Turkish pundits and supporters. If and whoever wins election manage to convince Jose Mourinho to come to club, it would be clear how far this saying is true. For years, Jose Mourinho coaching Turkish team has been as unrealisable dream in same manner as Ronaldo and Messi joining Turkish side but there is some good chances as Mourinho wants to carry on coaching while there is lack of interests towards him

Besiktas are interested to sign Kerem Akturkoglu

As end of the season is approaching, rumours regarding transfers are slowly started coming up and one of the most surprising has been an interest given from Besiktas to Galatasaray player Kerem Akturkoglu.

With Galatasaray generally rising level of performance and fighting spirit for winning title, one of the players who did have decline of performance has been Kerem Akturkoglu and its uncertain if he would be at team for upcoming season. Turkey will play against Poland on 10th June, prior to Euro 2024.

TFF has officially announced that it would be playing an international friendly game against Poland on 10th June at 21:45, just 7 days before its opening Euro 2024 game against Georgia.

With Turkey announced earlier that it would be playing against Italy on 3rd June, its need to be mentioned that team did selected strong teams for its pre-Euro 2024 period and hence would be able to check its strengths. Poland is being side which does aim at least to get out from group stage and would be coming in pretty squad and hence this game being last game for Euro 2024 would allow team to be able to check into condition team would be on that day and how much it is ready for tournament,in similar manner as it would be for Poland too.

Hence, this game would be good test for Turkey and Poland and would provide some clues in what to expect from Turkey at actual tournament.

TFF announced transfer windows for next season.

TFF has announced that summer transfer window would be taking place between 24th June and 13th September as all clubs would be aiming to make stronger side.

As been case in previous season, this summer transfer window would once again allow for extra weeks to be added compare to European leagues to allow so-called opportunity transfers where clubs are aiming to transfer players who didnt manage to get team or were late for last minute which could turn around to be successful for Turkish clubs with aim to strength squad.

Meanwhile, mid-season transfer window will be taking place betwene 13th January and 11th February.

TFF announced next season calendar with 19 teams

TFF among its announcements has also stated that new Super League season would be starting on 9th August and last until 1st June as it would be another exciting season with 19 teams.

This would also be last season with uneven clubs as TFF aims to reduce number of clubs from 22 back to 18 since 2020 and as it is known uneven numbers does provide some confusion to supporters and also aims which clubs have as one team will not play 1 week. This once again could be having negative impact to title race and plans.

Meanwhile, this season would also mark mid-season break of 2 weeks and for first for long time it would not have games in Christamas Eve.

Galatasaray has kept 6 point advantage over Fenerbahce prior to derby game against them.

Galatasaray would come out to derby game against Fenerbahce at penultimate week where 1 point would be enough to win title as it did get tough win against Fatih Karagumruk with 3:2 scoreline thanks to last minute goal.

Galatasaray therefore with such win has kept point difference to 6 points during same amount of weeks left in the season against Fenerbahce. It needs to be mentioned that when coming to this particular game, it didnt provide very good performance and did have tough times compare to previous weeks but still has achieved its tasks. With Fatih Karagumruk needed to get at least point and also being to some extend strongest team who is currently at relegation zone, Fatih Karagumruk did provide strong and organised game at the field and did also get ahead. To some extend, quality and calmness from Galatasaray even when it wasnt ahead has played an important role and would now aim for to not lose at least against Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce did keep its vague title chances alive and now it would focus to get win against Galatasaray to both end season with keeping title chances alive and at worse beating potential champions. 

Trabzonspor keeps its advantage for 3rd spot prior to Basaksehirspor game

Trabzonspor as would been expected did get an easy and confident win against already relegated Istanbulspor with 2 goals from Paul Onuachu in first 10 minutes.

Therefore, Trabzonspor has kept 3 point advantage over Basaksehirspor for the race for 3rd spot and it would be playing that team in upcoming week as it would potentially decide who would end season at 3rd spot. This win hence did provide strong confidence and motivation to Trabzonspor prior to such game.

Galatasaray is only 1 point behind title with derby week coming up next week.

Galatasaray has made very important aim for winning title as it difficult and well-fought win against Fatih Karagumruk which are fighting for staying at the game thanks to the last minute goal from Berkan Kutlu.

Galatasaray it needs to be mentioned didnt start game as it was planning as it did have an issue with getting dominant tempo and chances due of very good defensive game of Fatih Karagumruk. However, with strong motivation for title which it has very big motivation, it has strong pushing force during game and did find crucial equiliser with Dries Mertens at the end of the 1st half which did provide needed confidence which did have a positive impact during 2nd half as it did have good start but after getting ahead of 2:1 it did show reduction of tempo which has led side to concede goal from Marcao. As been noted, this concentration for winning title has provided needed push without doubt in the end of the 1st half with Berkan Kutlu scoring one of the most important goals of this season.

Fatih Karagumruk meanwhile it needs to be stated did provide very good performance at the field with playing for a win with providing good and organised defensive with providing strong attacking game but did miss chance for a draw with conceding goal in the end of 1st half.

Galatasaray hence did get very important win for title at the end of the season as it only needs 1 point in upcoming 2 games which could come against derby game against Fenerbahce in last week of games. 

Fenerbahce keepts its tiny chances for title alive with win against Kayserispor.

Fenerbahce has kept its vague chances for title alive as it got a confident win against Kayserispor from 1st half as Galatasaray getting behind on pararrel game at one point has provided strong confidence to side.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did come out to provide some positive game with dominance against Kayserispor to provide an image that it is still believes for title which does get further by each game and also possibility that Galatasaray could be losing points in its own game. Fenerbahce did find an early goal which also provided strong confidence for the rest of the game and to some extend did provide some good views prior to Galatasaray derby game. Therefore, Fenerbahce did get an important win but it needs to be mentioned that to achieve its tasks it needs to carry on showing some positive game as it did today against Galatasaray next week to get its vague chances for title. Trabzonspor got expected easy win against Istanbulspor

Trabzonspor did get confident as was expected against Istanbulspor with 3:0 scoreline especially thanks to Onuachu who did found 2 goals on 10 minutes which helped them to provide low and controllable game for rest of 80 minutes.

Trabzonspor which are currently playing for 3rd spot with Basaksehirspor, who it would play against in next week, was expecting to get strong and confident win against Istanbulspor and as been noted it did achieve its aim with finding two early goals with Patrick Onuachu who has been one of the main players during whole this season. Galatasaray could win title if it beats Fatih Karagumruk and results go in their way 

Galatasaray could win its 24th title if it manages to beat Fatih Karagumruk at Ataturk Olympic Stadium and Fenerbahce doesnt consider to win Kayserispor at the game where Galatasaray would come out as strong favourite. 

Among being in the leadership at the standings with 4 point over Fenerbahce, Galatasaray is also providing strong and dominant performance in recent weeks with confident scoreline regardless who are opponents as Galatasaray in recent years is capable at providing top level performance which is needed in the end of the season. Fatih Karagumruk on their part would be aiming to get point and hence could provide performance with a defensive as it aims to stay at the league. In all fairness, win for Galatasaray would be even be even perfect outcome but Fatih Karagumruk would treat game in more realistic manner as it seems to be more realistic and also with such result and getting some points in other 2 games would be enough. With Galatasaray among getting result which it seeks for would also aim to find an early goal to provide pressure to Fenerbahce which would play in parallel.

Besiktas has started slowly negotiations with Sivasspor regarding Rey Minaj.

Besiktas has started transfer negotiations with Sivasspor regarding of Rey Minaj where it has asked for conditions to which Sivasspor has responded with 20 million euro transfer fee with Besiktas aiming to reduce fee and offer 2 players.

Trabzonspor has reached to Turkish Cup with confident win against Fatih Karagumruk

Trabzonspor has qualified to Turkish Cup without having too much issues against Fatih Karagumruk as it got through with 7:2 aggregate scoreline and getting confident 4:0 win at Istanbul Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

It needs to be mentioned that it did take time for Trabzonspor to provide strong and dominant game as both sides has been ineffective during 1st half and didnt get single shot at the goal which could be related to the stadium where supporters are located from from field and also some wind issues which is stadium is known for. However, when Paul Onuachu did find an opening goal on 54th minute things did go as planned for Trabzonspor as it started showing dominant game and has scored 3 more goals. With getting into final, it has made an important step for winning Turkish Cup which is being their main priority for weeks now and it would be meeting with Besiktas which has also set its aim for title later in May or start of June.

Trabzonspor is being favourite for now for 3rd spot but as it is known winning Turkish Cup does provide an advantage at Europa League qualifiers so it could be taking this into priority.

Fatih Karagumruk didnt provide much fighting spirit for Turkish Cup final.

Fatih Karagumruk meanwhile did provide pretty poor performance at home ground as it didnt provide any resistance to opponents and has provided in fact much better performance in away game where it ended with 3:2 scoreline.

When comparing of both sides during 1st half of this game, it could be argued that Fatih Karagumruk has been better side but statistically it didnt provide much as it didnt have also signle shot at goal as opponents and hence poor performance of Trabzonspor did make illusion that it showed good performance. As soon as it has conceded, Fatih Karagumruk has been demotivated even more and reduced performance which has been taken less and less after its conceding goal. Fatih Karagumruk did come for win for sure but it didnt show how much it wanted on the field as opponent got an easy win.

Fatih Karagumruk did provide poor performance and would now would focus for last 3 games in the league as it fights for survival but it needs to provide much better game if it wants to stay at Super League.

Kayserispor has once again has recieved transfer ban this time for 2 periods from FIFA, as it terminated contract with any valuable reason with its 4 players during this season.

Kayserispor has been one of the most controversial teams regarding of getting transfer bans and this time it has recieved following complaints from 4 players for getting contracts terminated without strong reason and with FIFA finding themselves to be wrong in following action. Trabzonspor has got a confident scoreline against Fatih Karagumruk with 4:0 scoreline in Istanbul as it shown dominant game during 2nd half and has risen aggregate scoreline from 2 legs to 7:2 scoreline. 

It needs to be mentioned that game has started at pretty low tempo without many chances in duration of 1st half which could be seen as expected as scoreline has been suitable for Trabzonspor and also Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul does tend to provide this kind of games as it is stadium which is hard to fill apart of Champions League final games due of it location. Coming to game Trabzonspor did start game at very low tempo as Fatih Karagumruk but with Paul Onuachu scoring great goal at 54th minute, it has opened game with Fatih Karagumruk losing concentration of the game and Trabzonspor using openings at defence for its advantage. Besiktas reached to Turkish Cup final with goal from Muci.

Since chances of Super League league title has been dropped to null at Besiktas, team has made it clear several times that its main aim for rest of the season would be to win Turkish Cup and goal from Ernest Muci during 2nd leg against Ankaragucu has made crucial step for this aim to be reached.

It needs to be mentioned that it is hard to state that Besiktas did provide very good performance in this game at home and in fact during whole tie, but the factor that Ankaragucu did have an issue with converting high number of the chances has led for Besiktas to get to the final. As was seen following game, not getting to final game has been highly dissapointed at Ankaragucu but it would need to get positive from this game and would give them chance to show strong performance in last 3 weeks of the season and look optimistically for upcoming season.

Besiktas has reached to the Turkish Cup final with single goal from Ernest Muci against Ankaragucu as it has been tough game at the game where both sides has given all to get to the final game.

Following goalless draw in Ankara during 1st leg, it has been expected to be tight game with this game Istanbul giant did have an advantage of playing home and also an aim to save such season and it could be mentioned that this factor and also quality factor between both sides has played a role. Still, it would be tough to state that Besiktas did provide a good performance as it did show some control of the game during 2nd half of the 1st half. However, despite of finding a winning goal with great shot from Ernest Muci. Ankaragucu it needs to be mentioned did create some good chances with crucial saves with Mert Gunok making some crucial saves but it needs to be mentioned that defence did lead lots of chances in its own goal. Still, Besiktas did use its advantage at home ground with strong detirmination from Muci.

Fenerbahce belief for title has been reduced during Konyaspor game.

Fenerbahce did come out for Konyaspor game with must win mentality if it wanted to keep its vague chances for title alive but it did look that players has been psychologically affected from Galatasaray getting result 6:1 on previous day.

Samsunspor has wanted this game much more than Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor does provide unstable performance during whole season and this has been case tonight as despite of having some control of the game, it didnt manage to get dominance and full control of the game which would been expected for them and couldnt both overpass opponent organise defence and by themselves didnt show good defence on the field.

Samsunspor meanwhile did get an important win for themselves as it did make their position to stay at the league more likely as it got 8 point advantage for now from relegation zon and this win would provide confidence for last 3 games.

Trabzonspor seems to be showing too much relaxation believing that it had secured 3rd spot but it need to get back into themselves as this relaxation could lead them to lose that spot which could also raise some protests from its supporters.

Besiktas has regained confidence and morale as we are entering both to last 3 games of the Super League season and also prior to 2nd leg of semi-final of Turkish Cup which it would be playing on 7th May.

With vague possibility at ending season at 3rd spot or at worst at the 4th place and also with a priority of winning Turkish Cup to have some ogod ending of this poor season, Besiktas needed to show top level game and it needs to be mentioned that even through game did end at close scoreline of 3:2, Besiktas did deserve win as their showed confident performance at the attack and did show good reaction both when it got behind 1:0 as it equalised within 2 minutes but even more it did look for winning goal until end of the game as Worsall did score at last minute. Besiktas has regained confidence prior to Turkish Cup game against Rizespor.

Besiktas has got an important win against Rizespor at home ground with 3:2 scoreline as team has hence got crucial win for top 4 position which would mean it would get European spots and also regained morale and confidence prior to Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game against Ankaragucu.

It needs to be noted that Besiktas did show signs of willigness and in fact did show very good response after conceding an early goal on 5th minute as it did find an equalised with Colley after 2 minutes. With taking account that Rizespor also did come out for win as it tried to keep its European football spots alive, Besiktas did provide some positive football with looking for goals and also control of the game and did create some important issues. Despite of all that, it needs to be mentioned winning goal did come at the end of the game from crucial game from Worsall which did show that there were differences of how team performed both in defence and attack and since side needs to improve its defensive game especially prior to game against Ankaragucu at semi-final but still Besiktas did show some positive game and does provide some positive view for last 3 games and Turkish Cup.

A point for both Trabzonspor and Samsunspor will be good result.

Trabzonspor would be aiming to make its 3rd spot position even more stronger as 4 weeks are left until end of the season as it would be playing Black Sea derby game at away game.

Hatayspor has terminated contract with its head coach Volkan Demirel as side didnt manage to win during recent 4 weeks as team aims to stay at the league.
