Trabzonspor got confident win against Sivasspor and got Turkish Super Cup.

Trabzonspor got confident win against Sivasspor and wins 16th Turkish Super Cup title with 4:0 scoreline and has started 2022-23 season at very high note with proving itself to be once again main contender for title during next season.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor didnt start game well as it did allow Sivasspor to control game and provide much more attacking game but starting from middle of 1st half start showing much more attacking game with looking into opportunities in the attack which led them to find some opportunities which led for goal from Cornelius which did come from great organing attacking game. Trabzonspor did stay highly focus as game developed in the end of the 1st half and start 2nd half and with finding 2nd goal once again Cornelius has got full control of the game and start providing much more pressure to Trabzonspor. With being much better side when coming into squad, Trabzonspor without doubt did use that advantage pretty effectively during 2nd half and didnt let Sivasspor which been demotivated from scoreline provided much more attacking game and when looking into more opportunities and could even score more than 4 goals.

Koc states that he would not apologize for events at Dinamo Kiev game.

Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc has stated that he would not apologize to Ukraine for supporters chanting Vladimir Putin during Champions League 3rd qualifying round game against Dinamo Kiev inclining language used by Ukraine foreign minister and Ankara ambasador.

Even through Koc is right that throwing blame to whole club for those events to whole club might be wrong, it would not be right decision not to apologize as if he does that he would show more that he doesnt support such actions.

Istanbulspor signs New York RB player David Jensen.

Istanbulspor has signed New York RB goalkeeper David Jensen hence making its goalie stronger and more competitive level for Super League.

Without doubt, goalkeeping position is being one of the key position to get successful results at the goalkeeper position and signing player like Jensen who is having some experience and same time is not being very expensive would be seen as good one and could provide some trust to the goal when it has main aim to stay on the league in this season. As long as Jensen gets adapted to the team and also to league in short period it would be reasonable for him to become main goalkeeper and gain some important points for side with saves.

Basaksehirspor has improved during 2nd leg against Maccabi Netanya.

Basaksehirspor gets to the next round of the qualifying stage after beating Maccabi Netanya with 1:0 scoreline thanks to the Ndiayeshemeye goal who has scored his 1st goal at European competition in career.

There were questions that Basaksehirspor would need to improve his performance during 2nd leg of 2nd qualifying round against Maccabi Netanya and side looked to be in much more agressive mode during this game with finding an early goal at 10th minute. Following goal, Basaksehirspor has continued showing an organised game both in the attack and defence game with being focussed into getting high amount of chances and also preventing Netanya getting into much of the opportunities. Basaksehirspor still needs to improve with performance but this two legs has been good tests for them for upcoming games both at Conference League and in the domestically.

Basaksehirspor would now meet with Breidablik at next round as it would be coming as much stronger favourite without doubt.

Konyaspor got into next stage without much trouble.

Konyaspor has continued its serious focus towards game against BATE Borisov as it controlled game with finding 2 goals and could even scored more if its been more likely.

Turkish football season is going to be start as always with Super Cup game between league winners Trabzonspor and cup winners Sivasspor where Trabzonspor would be seen as favourites but it would not be an easy game for them.

Without doubt, both sides would be aiming to show top level game even through they might not be entirely ready as playing 1st competitive game but it needs to be noted that Sivasspor did look to be slightly better form during pre-season friendlies even through it did play quite easier opponents compare to Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor does raise some questions meanwhile how  much they ready for new  season but without doubt this game would be much better reference on how it would be performing. One thing is certain Sivasspor will not let them get an easy win.

Basaksehirspor gets to the next round after beating Maccabi Netanya.

Basaksehirspor gets to the next stage of the Conference League after beating Maccabi Netanya with 1:0 scoreline with providing highly concentrated and organised game for 90 minutes. 

It needs to be stated that an early goal from Basaksehirspor which did come from Ndiayashemeye has been decider and let Basaksehirspor for rest of the game to provide much more controllable game and not letting Maccabi Netanya to get into much control of the game for rest of the game even through they did concede some of the opportunities but defence has been in pretty controllable defensive game. Basaksehirspor still looked to be in much more controlled and organised manner with creating some good opportunities and getting close to score even more goals for rest of the game. Therefore, it could be noted that Basaksehirspor did get well-deserved with better performed game from 1st leg. 

Maccabi Netanya has been affected negatively from conceding an early goal on 10 minute from Ndayishimeye and tried to get back to the game after that moment but couldnt overpass organised game of the opponent during rest of the game. 

Basaksehirspor hence di get well-deserved game with win and would meet with Breidablik at 3rd qualifying round as it route would be much easier.

Konyaspor gets to 3rd qualifying round in very confident performance.

Konyaspor gets to the next stage of the Conference League after beating BATE Borisov with 2:0 scoreline and ending tie with confident result of 5:0 and would be meeting with Vaduz at high confidence and motivation.

With Konyaspor more or less getting result which it seeked for from 1st leg of the tie, it did come to the 2nd leg with calm and self-confident performance and this has led how side did perform but still provided view of being better side as it did provide some attacking game especially in 1st half which led them to provide much more slower and controllable game during 2nd half without providing too much pressure to opponent goal and also not giving any hopes for BATE Borisov in return. Hence it got deserved with in the end of the day and would be moving to next stage with high confidence and motivation.

BATE Borisov also tried to show some reaction from 1st leg but level of sides which been expected did affect to the outcome as BATE tried to show some organised game but understandably been out of mood and concentration.

Konyaspor hence got confident start of the Conference League and would be expected to continue such performance against Vaduz during next round.

Immature behaviour of Fenerbahce supporters openned political crises. 

Fenerbahce supporters following conceding goal on 57th minute, has started political crises due of disrespectful, amateur and intolerable behaviour by chanting name of Russian president Vladimir Putin during Champions League game against Dynamo Kyiv. 

With Ukraine going through difficult period during Russian invasion to them, such behaviour from Fenerbahce supporters regarding in what circumstances should not be tolerated at any form as Fenerbahce did make statement themselves in duration of the day. Such behaviour also led for Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu, who previously has been coached Besiktas, Galatasaray and Turkish National Team and generally have strong connection with whole country, to be left shocked and in disbelief which led him not to attend post-game press conference in rightful manner. Even through Fenerbahce does defend itself stating that it was reaction from supporters of overaly celebration of the goal, such behaviour should not be acceptable. Dynamo Kyiv being as whole Ukrainian society affected from war, providing emotional celebration should be accepted and given some empathy and not providing such reaction.

Whatever, reasons for such behaviour of Fenerbahce it should not be tolerated and club being representative of its supporters should pay price.

 Ismail Yuksel red card has cost Fenerbahce getting into next stage of the Champions League

Fenerbahce has been relegated from Champions League after losing to Dinamo Kiev at 2nd qualifying round as it has dropped dominating game after red card of Ismail Yuksek and continues its unwinnable record against Dinamo Kiev.

Fenerbahce did come out to the game as favourites as Dinamo Kiev did look to be strongly affected from on-going Russian invasion to Ukraine and similar case has been during today's game as it has dominating entirely 1st half but not converting its opportunities has paid into final result of the game as Dinamo Kiev did provide strong resistance. It needs to be mentioned that referee of the game has provided pretty harsh performance, compare to one which been seen during 1st half, with providing cards to both sides from start to an end. This harshness of referee and also agressive game of Ismail Yuksek on 2nd half has changed game entirely and with Dinamo Kiev providing much more attacking game with getting an extra men did have direct impact to development of the game. Fenerbahce did have issue to get into strong performance with roles changing. Only positive note is that Fenerbahce did continue its fighting game until last minute with finding 89 minute but let opponent to control game on extra time.

Dinamo Kiev on they part did provide strong and organised game against Fenerbahce with providing strong and defensive game with getting into focussed of performance even if Dinamo Kiev didnt look to be in good form during 1st half of the game. With using effectively an extra men advantage it has added tempo and provided strong effort. Meanwhile, Buschan save of penalty has been key point of the game even if side did lose after that position.

Fenerbahce did start game very good with finding great opportunities and providing view that side could provide effective attacking game but it shouldnt be highly broken and affected from red card of Ismail Yuksel.

Basaksehirspor needs to be more agressive against Maccabi Netanya.

Basaksehirspor would be coming to Conference League 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Maccabi Netanya game in Israel with aiming to provide much more strong and confident performance compare to 1st leg. 

First leg game which did end with 1:1 scoreline has been game where Basaksehirspor for most amount of the time didnt provide enough pressure to Maccabi Netanya goal even through there were some positive moments including when it did score goal. However, it needs to be mentioned that this game would be much more tougher for Basaksehirspor as Maccabi expects to provide much more aggressive game with support of its supporters. Therefore, it would be important for Basaksehirspor to provide much more aggressive game against Maccabi Netanya but in same time dont forget about defence.

Basaksehirspor is being better side compare to Maccabi Netanya but still its not an easy opponent to beat so always it needs to provide more pressure and improvement against opponents.

Konyaspor would need to be calm but organised against BATE.

Konyaspor did get outcome which very likely would get them to next stage of the Conference League qualifier, as it got 3:0 win against BATE Borisov and now would need to be highly focussed and provide calm game.

Even through calm game could be enough for side to get to next stage with such advantage, it would be crucial for side to stay organised and not getting too relaxed and dont provide any chance and hope for BATE with its performance. It would be important for Konyaspor to provide strong message to opponent from start of the game making it clear that it is focussed to get to the next stage as it shown during 1st leg performance. Konyaspor without doubt does have strong advantage of not worrying too much into scoreline compare to opponent and this could go also as advantage with way side would be performing without doubt.

Konyaspor has proven itself to be favourite in this tie during 1st leg, now it needs to show once again that it is being one.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg game against Dinamo Kiev with home advantage as it has drawn 1st leg with 0:0 scoreline in Poland as it would be aiming to improve its attacking game.

When looking at 1st leg it has become visible that Russian invasion to Ukraine has affected negatively to Dinamo Kiev as players looked to be out of form even through there were moments when it showed good game. Therefore, to all respect to opponent if similar view would be visible during this game, Fenerbahce should able to get win against opponent if it provides strong pressure and much more faster attacking game. Regardless, how out of form Dinamo would be it would be still be expected for them to provide organised game, a subject area which Fenerbahce would need to get through if it wants to get to the next stage.

Rangers has signed Ridvan Yilmaz.

Rangers has signed Besiktas young defender Ridvan Yilmaz as player with high potential would be getting opportunity to try his best performance at one of the top Scottish clubs and also with great history at European football.

Fenerbahce has made principal deal with Flamingo player Gustavo Henrique as player would be rejoining with Jose Jesus once again as both did have good understanding between each other from previous club.

Ankaragucu has signed 1+1 year contract with Uros Radakovici who is expecting to provide an important strength to the side in upcoming season and made side even more competitive in the Super League.

There was expectation for Ankaragucu to provide pretty stronger side for upcoming season and it did show signs to do so when transfer window has been opened but in upcoming weeks showed some calmness possibly due of having some issues with making transfer deals. Konyaspor got confident win against BATE.

Konyaspor has got very important win against BATE Borisov with 3:0 scoreline at the game which goes as an away game but side has actually played at home ground due but without supporters.

Even through Konyaspor did looked to be much more less experienced at European front compare to BATE, when looking at the team it is being in much better condition and this has affected quite positively during 90 minutes of the game. Konyaspor has got an impressive and crucial win against BATE Borisov at away game with 3:0 scoreline and has shown dominant and attacking game for 90 minutes and showed how much they were ready for this game.

It needs to be mentioned that even through this game is being counted as an away game, it needs to be mentioned that it has been at Konya but without supporters and even because of that it could be noted that it did felt quite confident and comfortable at home ground and field. Starting from first whistle of the game, Konyaspor did show that it did come out for win during this game and has provided strong pressure towards BATE goal which led them to create high number of opportunities and hence score 3 goals in duration of 90 minutes. It is clear that Ilhan Palut did prepare his side in pretty concentrated manner which led them to be in much prepared form even through opponent did come out from league which were played half of the season.

Its been stated beforehand that BATE are not in same condition which they were several years ago but seriousness of its decline has been visible even more as it did fail to get any control of the game during whole game.

Champions League 2nd qualifying round 1st leg game between Dinamo Kiev and Fenerbahce has ended with goalless draw at the game where Fenerbahce did look to be not physically ready as their provided slow tempo game and did lack providing support from teammates.

It needs to be mentioned that opponent Dinamo Kiev possibly didnt look as in good form and motivated as would been expected as it aimed to show some fighting spirit as it represented team of the country which are currently being under invasion from Russia.  This led to the hand of Fenerbahce without doubt as opponent didnt provide strong attacking performance even through did show some good counter-attacks. However, Fenerbahce didnt look to be providing to strong attacking game looking to be slow tempo and lacked creativity. As been noted in our previous blog entries, BATE has marked its history some years ago with showing some confident performance in Champions League but this side is being pretty far from that level and is being side which could beatable by Konyaspor if it provides it top performance. It is known that Konyaspor does have some high aims for upcoming season aiming to have similar season as it did during last season so this game could be high posibility for side to show an important message for upcoming season. Therefore, Konyaspor would need to show some attacking game and provide enough pressure to BATE to show themselves as being favourite for game.

Mehmet Topal has been without doubt one of the key players in the Turkish football during recent weeks and without doubt has always shown top level performance and with strong effort which has been reason for him to be on highest level and also going to Valencia. In  historical squad at Euro 2008, where it has ended journey at semi-final. Even through Mehmet Topal has never been seen as legendary player he has played an important role for Turkish football had some good spells in this century.

Nantes has loaned Mustafa Muhammed 

Nantes has loaned Galatasaray player Mustafa Muhammed as it is expected that player would not recieve enough gaming time in upcoming season and hence would reach to playing level in next season.

Without doubt, Mustafa Muhammed is being player at top level and does provide lots of help in attacking level but when looking into Galatasaray squad and type of game which would be expected in upcoming season, it could be seen expectable for him to be loaned to Nantes. Fenerbahce will play with Sturm Graz if it beats Dinamo Kiev

Fenerbahce has been drawn against Sturm Graz during Champions League 3rd qualifying round if it manages to get through Dinamo Kiev during 2nd qualifying round as to some extend it would meet with easier opponent.

Fenerbahce as it is known is currently aiming to get into Champions League group stage with Jorge Jesus even through this would be pretty long journey with in total of 6 games to achieve this aim. It needs to be mentioned that even through Austrian football is being on rise in recent years, its club football didsnt show much movement forward and are not seen to be tough opponent with Austrian clubs failing to reach to group stage for long period. Stating that Fenerbahce would need to focus to Dinamo Kiev game before that as it does have trouble with Ukrainian clubs.

If Fenerbahce would be relegated from Champions League, it would meet with Slovacko at Europa League but quite naturally this is being scenario which club would aim to avoid for sure.

Basaksehirspor is drawn with Breidabalik and Buducnost if it beets Maccabi Netanya

Basaksehirspor which does have an aim to get to group stages of Conference League would be meeting with with winner of Breidabalik and Buducnost if it manages to beat Israeli side Maccabi Netanya.

In similar manner as Fenerbahce, it would need to mention that opponent at next stage would be less tough than Israeli side even through it is expected for them to get to the next stage without much trouble as it is has seen as favourite. Without doubt, Basaksehirspor head coach Emre Belozoglu would like to be playing at European football in upcoming season and hence would be taking serious both games in this stages.

Fenerbahce has made loan deal with Cagliari player Joao Pedro.

Fenerbahce has offered 5 million euro to Cagliari player Joao Pedro as club is getting closer to make transfer deal with player as it continues having transfer negotiations with his agent in Istanbul.

Fenerbahce has started transfer negotiations with Joao Pedro among Galatasaray during transfer negotiations but due of high offer which been requested from player and Fenerbahce willing to pay such loan fee it has become an important step closer to make deal with player expecting to arrive to Istanbul for one-on-one transfer negotiations at short notice. Therefore, it is reported for transfer deal to be made at pretty short notice between parties.

Joao Pedro is been reported to be especially wanted by its head coach Jose Jesus and it would be question of only few days for deal to be made between parties as we would follow how it would develop.

Galatasaray are interested to sign Amine Harit.

Galatasaray has offered 2 million euro to Schalke 04 player Amine Harit as he is playing one of the main respondends for Marcao as club is focussed to transfer defender right now.

Without doubt selling Marcao to Sevilla has affected negatively to Galatasaray during preparation for upcoming season and hence it would been expected for side to be looking for his replacement as Amine Harit without doubt would be seen as main candidate to feel that spot. Hatayspor signs Kaan Kanak for 2-years.

Hatayspor has signed Kaan Kanak for 2-years as player did end contract with Adana Demirspor during this summer period even through he did show some performance in the club on previous season.

Kaan Kanak is being player on the level which Hatayspor seek for as they would be starting upcoming season with an aim to reach European competition spots and with experience which Kaan Kanak has, he would be able to help side to reach to this aim in upcoming season. Therefore, it could be noted that it is being nice transfer for the team during this summer transfer window but as side he would be needed to provide top level game and continue showing improvement.

Hatayspor did get an important transfer but as most clubs would need to seek for more signings if it wants to have good season for sure.

Kasimpasa strengths with two signings.

Kasimpasa has strength its squad with signing Stephane Bahogen and Turgay Gemicbasi as both players has potential to help side into continuing its top performance which it has shown in the end of the previous season.

As being one of the sides which been at form towards end of the previous season, team would be certainly focussing into continuing such performance in upcoming season and to achieve this it did get some quality players with high potential during this summer season especially with Turgay Gemicbasi who does have lots of potential and joining Kasimpasa would let him to develop into stronger player in near future.

Sivassspor considers to sign Olimpiu Morutan

Sivasspor head coach Riza Calimbay states that club are interested to transfer Galatasaray player Olimpiu Morutan, as club considers to sell player during this summer.

Rennes made deal with Fenerbahce player Kim Min Jae for 18 million euro.

Rennes has made transfer deal with Fenerbahce for Kim Min Jae for 18 million euro as it is expected that transfer deal would be made at short period of time.

It needs to be mentioned that Kim Min Jae did show some significant improvement with his performance in previous season and did get high amount of interest from across Europe during this summer transfer window among Szalai. It has been noted that Fenerbahce has been considered in understanding manner to sell player at high transfer fee and it did recieve it from Rennes from 18 million euro. It needs to be mentioned that even through it has been good offer for Fenerbahce perspective it would need to work on to find replacement for him at upcoming weeks. 

Fenerbahce has provided some significant offer to the team but likely to keep some supporters unhappy as it would lose one of the best players in previous season.

Top clubs interested to sign Jason Denayer.

There is being strong interest to transfer Jason Denayer during this summer transfer window as it is reported that Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce are showing strong interest towards player.

With Denayer having some experience in Turkey at Galatsaray it is quite normal to see such strong interest with player during this summer transfer window without doubt and there is expectation for deal to be made at short notice of the time from those top clubs. It is reported that all parties provided their offer with Fenerbahce would be having one-on-one transfer negotiations with his agent but it is hard to state which side is being especially close for transfer to be made.

Therefore, it does look to be most discussed transfer talks in upcoming weeks and we would follow this storyline at our blogs quite intensely.

Besiktas considers to offers Saatci to Alanyaspor for Bingol.

Besiktas considers to offer Serdar Saatci to Alanyaspor in return of Tayfur Bingol, being defender which club really considers to transfer in upcoming days.

With taking Serdar Saatci due of his behavour out of squad, it has also decided to use him in transfer negotiations as it would be offering him to Alanyaspor while having transfer negotiations with Alanyaspor for Tayfur Bingol as it would need to both convince Saatci to join this side and also Alanyaspor with such transfer. Basaksehirspor signs Mesut Ozil for 1+1 years.

Basaksehirspor has signed Mesut Ozil after 1 day when his contract has been terminated with Fenerbahce despite of fact that he did state that he would end contract at Fenerbahce.

After such statemement from Mesut Ozil, it does raise some questions into signing contract with Basaksehirspor in such short notice and could be seen more like to provide some pressure to Fenerbahce during such process. It needs to be mentioned however that Basaksehirspor has been eager to transfer Mesut Ozil one day and did use its opportunity effectively with connecting with player and his agent as soon as his contract has been over with Fenerbahce. Meanwhile, there is still questions if Mesut Ozil would be able to provide performance which everyone had awaited from him at Basaksehirspor.

Still, Basaksehirspor did use its opportunity in effective manner and could possibly show some promising game  at new club.

Fenerbahce signs Willian Arao for 2+1 years.

Fenerbahce has signed Flamengo player Willian Arao after having long and intense transfer negotiations with player which Jorge Jesus has been eager to get as soon as he joined side this summer.

It needs to be mentioned that Willian Arao is being player with high expectations and promises at Fenerbahce as he did show some good performance at Flamengo and did show some rise of performance while Jesus has been at team so both are going hand-in-hand and being familiar. Hence, even through Arao did join for club outside of South America for 1st time, he would be expected to get adapted to team at short notice and provide some good performance at Fenerbahce with Jesus.

Adana Demirspor has signed Fenerbahce player Arda Okan Kurtulan as being young player he is expected to improve his performance as most of youngsters do especially when having coach like Vincenzo Montella.
