Both sides didnt provide much creative football during derby game.
Super League 9th week game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce has ended with goalless draw at the game where both teams, especially during 2nd half, has decided to reduce tempo and had lack of creativity during game.
Even through it needs to be stated that Galatasaray did start game in a good fast paced manner where it has created number of dangerous attacks and provided to some extend creative game at the attack. In fact, it does play a football during 1st half to win game while 2nd half has been not to lose game. It could been stated that this could been affected due of red card of Youness Belhanda but it has played in this manner before that card during 2nd half. Even through technically it did work out Galatasaray has achieved what it wanted as it get a draw and kept difference with Fenerbahce and Besiktas (with game in hand) to 8 point difference and 6 points difference from 2nd placed Goztepe. Galatasaray would been happy with results but certainly with result and might have number of complaints over referee.
Fenerbahce did start game with a shock and has shown a very poor performance at the start of the game but did manage to balance the game even through their didnt been very successful at the front of the attacks. The creative players at the team like Mathieu Valbuena, Giuliano and Janssen didnt create much chances and has lacked to make an important last touches during the game. In fact, 2nd half when Galatasaray has reduced tempo didnt went into hand of Fenerbahce as their more chances to create chances with slow tempo since Galatasaray is more dangerous when its high tempo due of being more creative team. Fenerbahce draw of course is result which would keep them into race for leadership with 8 points behind Galatasaray which is much better than 11 points. Meanwhile, what look more interesting at Fenerbahce that their been pretty calm at the game which is unusual behaviour in fact by them in derbies.
In table wise this result went into hand of Galatasaray as it keeps its leadership at the table in same manner as it did before start of game while Fenerbahce doesnt let opponents get too far. But overall game wise it did dissapoint for football fans for both sides and fans.
Trabzonspor had a big crises both in administrative and physical aspects.
Even through appointment of Riza Calimbay as Trabzonspor head coach has been seen as sign of new beginning for the team, his 1st team as coach of the club has been ended with a loss to Yeni Malatyaspor who are having also struggling season.
Trabzonspor has continued to provide very poor performance and even through it did create number of the chances during game, their were not very effective and as Riza Calimbay has stated after the game the team has been affected by recent performance and have lack at physically and mentally. It needs to be stated without doubt that second yellow card, which could be seen as harsh decision from referee, by Jose Sosa has affected negatively to team and had led them to lose concentration of the game. Meanwhile, 6 of the administration at the Trabzonspor has resigned due of misunderstanding with team CEO Muharrem Usta which does show that administrative the team is in crises. This all are not good news for them and it does look like it would have a tough period at the club. Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta has probably a very difficult period right now as he needs to find solutions both inside the team and also at performance level.
Trabzonspor would play a very important game against Galatasaray next week which its not prepared but it can get motivational and physical boost if it would get a result it wants against Corum Belediyespor at Turkish Cup 4th round game on 25th October.
Both Besiktas and Basaksehirspor would aim for a win in game against each other.
Besiktas are coming back to the Super League after successful game against Monaco, with an important game against Basaksehirspor as both teams would aim to get a win and get into top race at the Super League.
Even through all attention is given towards Galatasaray and Fenerbahce derby as expected, the following derby game is also very important for both sides especially towards Besiktas which would aim to end its bad results at the domestic league. It needs to be added that Besiktas performance at the Super League is very different with ongoing argument that Besiktas are choosing games between Super League and Champions League. Tomorrow game would allow Besiktas to get back to the Super League at least mentally if it manages to win. But it needs to be stated that Basaksehirpsor, who on other hand shows better performance at Super League compare to Europe would aim to get an important win which would allow them to stay at top places in Super League and get motivational boost against very strong opponent. This game is pretty close to call but Besiktas with does come out slightly favourites with motivational boost from Monaco game.
This game is close to call and promises to be full of excitement with both teams aiming for a win against each other.
