Basaksehirspor carries on showing poor performance at Europa League as it lost to Hoffenheim.
Basaksehirspor carries on providing dissapointing results at the Europa League Group C game against Hoffenheim with 3:1 scoreline and has ended 3rd week with 1 point and putting its chances to the knockout stages of the tournament to almost none.
Unfortunately, Basaksehirspor who was expected to provide high level performance with reference to the last season and qualifying round didnt manage to get an upper hand against Hoffenheim at the game. Basaksehirspor during all games in Europe, including qualifiers, still didnt manage to win an away game which is certainly is worrying factor for the club if it wants to become successful in this tournament. Apart of 3:1 scoreline, it became clear that Basaksehirspor is also not in same level as their opponents despite of having high number of players with experience at competing at high level. Only thing to be stated that Basaksehirspor has gained another experience during this game both to players and head coach Abdullah Avci. Now chances for Basaksehirspor to qualify with 3 games and 1 point doesnt look to very likely to get to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Hoffenheim on other hand has shown its best performance of group stage so far and could turn around its Europa League performance at Group C with its 1st win with showing good performance against Basaksehirspor.
Basaksehirspor has provided a poor performance against Hoffenheim and it needs to improve a lot for 4th week game against them at home and other games at the future of the European games and has shown that it needs to do lots of work to get to that level.
Konyaspor did show some improvement despite of losing game against Salzburg.
Konyaspor didnt manage to win against RB Salzburg during Europa League Group I 3rd week game with 2:0 scoreline even through it did provide an attacking football and did found number of the chances during the game and has shown positive performance.
It needs to be stated that Konyaspor was playing what turned out to be strongest team as Salzburg are leaders of group with 7 points following this win and did have much better experience at European tournaments so it was hard to expect top level performance from them during today's game. What was more important is how would their play against such a strong team and manage to build on last week win against Vitoria. Even through the scoreline and general lookout does show Konyaspor as team are not in level of Europa League their did show some good improvements and did provide some motivation from its supporters even through towards end of the game it has recieved negative reaction from them also. It needs to be stated again that this was good experience from Konyaspor and now it needs to focus back to Super League and carry on showing good performance again against RB Salzburg during 4th week game.
RB Salzburg meanwhile carries on most at form team at the group stage with having 7 points so far and being at top and are pretty close to get to the knockout stages and did show that 4th week game in Salzburg will be tough for Konyaspor.
Despite of losing the game, Konyaspor did show some attacking focussed game and apart of winning last week does show that it might raise its level of performance at this Europa League compare to last season.
Galatasaray needs to decide if to start with Tolga Cigerci and Selcuk Inan against Fenerbahce
Preparation for Super League 9th week derby game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce is going in fast manner at both teams as their aiming to get to the game at the best form, motivation and tactically knowing their opponents. The main question prior to game is who would start at the midfielding area at Galatasaray.
With Tolga Cigerci is reporting to be recoverred from his injury and physically ready to play against Fenerbahce, there are talks at the media that Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor might choose Selcuk Inan instead him. This is due of good performance against Konyaspor during last week game and also Cigerci not recieving too much training sessions which therefore could led him not to be 100% ready for the game on Sunday. Even through it is reported that final decision would be made at the final training session as both teams have time to get prepared. Meanwhile, it is also known that Garry Rodrigues will not be fully recovered and there is expectation of Serdar Aziz to start at the game against Fenerbahce. Coming to training sessions Igor Tudor is known to motivate its players at high manner and wants player to get fully focussed to the game.
Galatasaray are seeing this game is to carry on its great start of the season and also get incredible boost for rest of the season as it would be able to have 11 point difference against Fenerbahce.
