Besiktas believes that Mario Gomez can return to them as long as his wife is convinced about safety in Turkey

Besiktas as club still believes into convincing Fiorentina player Mario Gomez, who was loaned at the club last season, to join them again as he has trouble to finding his new club. There are reports also that Gomez does want to return to Besiktas for this season.

The problem for the Mario Gomez decision to retun to Besiktas is his wife Carina Wanzung who is scared to stay in the Istanbul due of terror threats and due of recent failed coup d'etat. There are rumous that Besiktas player Olcay Sahan has called to Mario Gomez and Carina to congratulate them with a marriage and is reported to tell Carina that she should feel safe to come to Istanbul. Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman has stated few days ago that there is possibility that he would return to a team which has led for number of fans to start campaign at calling him to join again the team.

The chances for Mario Gomez to come back are still low and he does have negotiations with number of teams but Besiktas will try its best until he doesnt sign with a new team.

There is big expectation from Emmanuel Emenike at this season.

One of the talked players at the Fenerbahce after Champions League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game against Monaco is being Emmanuel Emenike who had scored 2 goals and has played an important role for such a  winning result at the game.

Despite of poor season and relationship with fans back on 2014-15 season, there was a high expectation and hopes for Emenike this season and it needs to be stated that so far he had satisfied both Vitor Pereira, administrators and supporters by scoring 2 goals against Monaco. Emmanuel Emenike in an interview to Nigerian media has stated that this performance is not yet his best performance and he aims to score much more goals in this season. He does look to be highly focussed into set task and would look like at that he will try his best in this season. It is important for him to be highly motivated for this task as he is highly emotional player.

There is lots of expectation at Emmanuel Emenike, as with Salih Ucan, both players who returned from loan and there is high chances that Emenike would provide great performance in upcoming season.

Fabian Castillo would help Trabzonspor to become stronger team next season.

Trabzonspor has managed to transfer Dallas FC player Fabian Castillo who is so far has been among most talked player in this summer at the Trabzonspor field. There is also expectation for him to provide great performance at the team.

Its main focus in this transfer window by Trabzonspor was given to transfer Fabian Castillo and it did manage that at the end. Despite of coming MLS, he does have great skills from league which quality has been raised at the recent seasons. It could be seen that such a transfer might not be still enough for league title but it would make team stronger and become more competitive. Trabzonspor surely needs to carry on its transfer politics in such a manner and try to get players who would make their team stronger without spending too much cash. Fabian Castillo if gets to top performance would be big help to the team next season.

What happened in Turkish football today? 29.07.2016

Basaksehirspor didnt provide its best performance against Rijeka.

Basaksehirspor has started its 2016-17 season with a goalless draw at the Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game against Rijeka in the game which was dominated by controversial refereeing of the game.

The game was mainly discussed by the moment of the 25th minute when Rijeka player has clearly played handball at the penalty area and with shocking decision of the referee the penalty was not given. It is certain that this decision has affected how game developed but still doesnt mean that Basaksehirspor has satisfied with its performance during the game. There was expectation of much better performance by the team as it allowed for Rijeka to control most part of the game especially during 1st half. It is true that team did provide some improvement during 2nd half of the game but still it wasnt enough to recieve adventage scoreline after game in Istanbul. The team certainly needs to improve if it wants to see play-off stage of qualifying and join Konyaspor at the Europa League group stage.

The fact that game has ended with 0:0 is at least keeps game at the equal chance and with improvement of performance in 2nd leg Basaksehirspor can take an important win.

Osmanlispor is getting used to the European football.

In other side, Osmanlispor which didnt provide high expectation has so far going pretty good at the Europa League qualifiers without losing 3 games, even through all of the opponents were weaker teams compare to them.

As been stated, with strength both Kalje and Zimbru in previous round were weaker teams than  them but there was fear that Osmanlispor might not be able to cope with competing at the Europa League pressure and it was kindly observed at Zimbru 1st game. However, now Osmanlispor is providing good game with a 1:0 scoreline in yesterday and as long as it stay focus at the 2nd leg in Tallinn it should not have big problems at getting to play-off stage of the tournament. As stated above, this achievement is not incredibly impressive as it didnt play yet tough opponents but fact  that it had manage to deal with stress is impressive. As long as team carries on winning it would also get into winning spirit which could be good for them as tournament progresses and also at the Super League during 1st weeks.

Osmanlispor needs to stay focus and provide good performance as mentally it could be more difficult for them as their will playing away which did create some issues earlier in tournament in Chisinau.

Besiktas officially announces transfer of Adriano.

Besiktas has officially announced its newly-signed player Adriano which it has transferred from Barcelona for 3 years, and it does look that for now Adriano is happy to choose Istanbul side.

According to contract, as Barcelona has announced that Besiktas will pay additional 1,700,000 euro to 600,000 euro if Besiktas does manage to get to Champions League in this 3 year period time, this is not included for this season ofcourse. Meanwhile, Besiktas has announced salary of 2,450,000 euro at the 1st season to the Adriano contract and reduction to the 1,850,000 euro in next two seasons per year, which is good salary agreement for Adriano taking account his current stage of his career. At today interview, Adriano meanwhile has stated that he would like to play in Super Cup against Galatasaray at least few minutes on 13th August which is good sign as it shows how much he wants to play for his new club.

For now it does look like, taking account how quite is in this transfer window, that Besiktas has got most important player to its team who would help them a lot upcoming seasons and in Champions League campaign.

Osmanlispor continues winning at the Europa League qualifying stages.

Osmanlispor carries on its impressive qualifying performance at the Europa League as it won Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game against Estonian club Kalje and has got advantegous scoreline before 2nd leg game which would be played next week in Tallinn.

Even through this is only qualifying round it was important for the Ankara side to get positive result at its first ever campaign at the European tournaments. It carries on impressive performance as it scored in total of 8 goals after 3 games. Playing against weaker side compare to them it did manage to show its superiority and has found very crucial goal at the 75 minute scored by Pinto and hence led its fans to be happy after following game. During the game their had controlled game a lot and with great support of its fans who in similar manner has led Kalje to be shocked and to be in unfamiliar territory as the team their are not also very experience at the European competitions also.

Kalje meanwhile has provided pretty poor performance but saying that there wasnt big expectation from them prior to game anyway. Saying that, Kalje has showed great performance at the Tallinn during previous round of Europa League against Maccabi Haifa and still can provide surprise.

However, for now Osmanlispor should be proud of today result and would go to 2nd leg with high motivation and good chances to get to play-off stage of its first every European campaign.

Basaksehirspor draws after 1st leg against Rijeka in Istanbul.

Basaksehirspor has drawn its 1st leg game against Croatian club Rijeka with goalless score during  Europa League 3rd qualifying round and hence has led this tie to be open with only using its home advantage scoreline.

As was expected , game has been taken into similar level between two sides as Rijeka as a team is in similar strength as Basaksehirspor. It needs to be stated that during the game Rijeka has better control of the game with finding numerous attacks during the game which led Basaksehirspor to lacking at creating much chances during the game. It does need to be stated that as game has developed Basaksehirspor did create number of chances but none of the has created lots of dangerous attacks in the goal of the Rijeka while chances created by Rijeka were more dangerous. Therefore it could be stated that Basaksehirspor was below its level which was expected taking account that it was playing at home.

Rijeka has provided brave football with trying to find away goal and get a win at the 1st leg where it showed with first minutes of game. Rijeka did show that it is tough opponent and would provide good game in Croatia next week.

Basaksehirspor needs to improve which its performance if it wants to win at the 2nd leg as today's performance will not be enough for them to get to play-off stage of Europa League.

Fenerbahce has got well-deserved victory against Monaco.

Fenerbahce has won its 1st leg against Monaco during Champions League 3rd qualifying round with providing positive and attacking football yesterday. The following performance and poor form of the Monaco does indeed provide lots of optimism for the 2nd leg and ticket to play-off stage to Istanbul side.

One of the most positive things which was observed at the game yesterday was much stronger return to the team from Emmanuel Emenike and Salih Ucan after the loan as it was stated from yesterday's blog. Both players had shown great performance with Emmanuel Emenike goals and great passes towards penalty area by Salih Ucan. In all fairness, the score should been ended as 3:0 as goal scored by Fenerbahce at the first minutes was not allowed to unclear foul towards goalkeeper which never was and also Radamel Falcao goal was clear offide. Despite of those mistakes which was given by referee, Fenerbahce still managed to get a win by dominating whole game and has shown strong attacking football with good defence once again.

Taking account that Fenerbahce is not 100% ready yet for the season the team has provided great performance and does provide lots of optimistic views to its supporters for 2nd leg game and upcoming season.

What happened in Turkish football today? 27.07.2016

Fenerbahce provided impressive performace at 1st leg game against Monaco.

Fenerbahce has started its 2016-17 season with a very important and impressive victory against Monaco at the Champions League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game where it had controlled and in some moments dominated the game despite of not playing with its best squad and with head coach Vitor Pereira not being pleasant at the side.

Fenerbahce has provided very good attacking football with good defensive game with possible only crucial mistake been done at the conceded goal where Skrtel has done only one mistake during whole game. One of the observation was performance of the Salih Ucan and Emmanuel Emenike who have returned to the team after loan period at the Roma and West Ham United respectively. It does look like both players has returned in much stronger way after the loan period and provided strong message to the fans, head coach Vitor Pereira that their are much better and stronger players after being loaned. Emmanuel Emenike has scored twice at the game and generally was getting into dangerous position including header which he had which could been also be goal.  Salih Ucan has provided great assists and created lots of chances during the game.

Prior to the game, Monaco has been stated that their are in better condition physically compare to Fenerbahce but from today performace their looked weaker with having trouble to control game and only good side it can take from this game is away goal which keeps them chances for 2nd leg game.

Fenerbahce did end game with slippery scoreline and needs to be careful at the 2nd leg but today's performace does leave positive views for the rest of this tie, to the tournament and towards season as whole. We could see signs of very attacking team this season which was lacking from last.

Basaksehirspor would aim to get positive result in game against Rijeka.

Basaksehirspor will start its 2016-17 season at the Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game against Croatian club Rijeka where it comes as favourite and has a good chance to get to the play-off stage of the tournament this season.

Basaksehirspor would play its 1st leg game in Istanbul and would certainly aim to recieve a good advantage score with possible support of its fans even through it is known that it has low amount of supporters. Basaksehirspor head coach Abdullah Avci who is used now with his club to play qualifiers at the Europa League is very likely to provide enough motivation for the team to succeed as he would surely aim to get to proper tournament for first time during this season. It will not be an easy game as differences between two sides is not that big but Basaksehirspor should be aiming for at least one goal lead at 1st leg to make its task easier on return game.

Basaksehirspor players mind should be set to that game and as a team are very capable to get to next stage and get good results from Europa League this season.

Osmanlispor needs to aim to get advantegous score against Kalju.

Osmanlispor could consider itself lucky as by passing Zimbru at the 2nd qualifying round at the Europa League qualifiers, it would meet against Estonian club Kalju who is not much stronger to Zimbru.

Competing at the first season at the European competitions, its now has very good chance to get to the play-off stage as long as it provides very similar performance as it did at the 2nd leg game against Zimbru. In fact, playing its 1st leg game this time in Ankara it can aim to get impressive scoreline and make its task much easier for 2nd leg  as unexperienced team at the European stage it could been tougher to make good game at the away game due of being new at this front. It is expected that team supporters would provide similar support to the Osmanlispor and hence would provide 2nd push at such an important game for the team.

Osmanlispor as been stated does need to focus to get advantegous score at the game tomorrow to make its task in Tallinn against Kalju much easier.

Fenerbahce will play similar controlled game against Monaco as it did last season.

Fenerbahce will start its 2016-17 season against Monaco at the Champions League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg game which promises to be a tough game for the both sides. It is still unclear if the team is 100% ready for such an important game tomorrow.

Fenerbahce preparation for this game has been done not in perfect manner which includes injuries at the side from Robin van Persie and Ismail Koybasi who are playing a very important role at the team prior to start of game. However, coming to the preparation period it needs to be noticed that both teams had similar amount of time to get ready for this game and hence its hard to state that Monaco have any clear advantage. It is expected that Fenerbahce will aim at more controlled game which was visible from last season but would surely try to provide some attacking football with return of team loan player Salih Ucan and Emmanuel Emenike. As long as team provides good defence at the back it can find goals with its attacks including from counter-attacks.

Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira has stated himself that noone should wait for top football but it will do everything to get possitive result. Its important for a team to believe that it can get win tomorrow and forget about bad results from friendlies.

Antalyaspor dont want to sell its player Samuel Eto'o to Besiktas

Antalyaspor administrators, with announcement today, has stated that as a team it doesnt have intentions to sell its player Samuel Eto'o to Besiktas as rumours are circulating that Besiktas are close to make deal with a player.

Announcement was made in similar manner as Akhisar Belediyespor has declined its aims to sell Hugo Rodallega to Galatasaray yesterday. Team has stated it will be foolish to sell such an important player to the squad and it will be hard for them to find alternative for him. This has been made on the day when there is rumours at the media that Samuel Eto'o has met with Besiktas administrators however this news could be just be rumour. There is chance that Samuel Eto'o does consider to move to Istanbul side but one thing is clear that his team is not willing to sell him right now.

Antalyaspor is being right with such a decision as Samuel Eto'o is being main player to the team who it tried very hard to transfer last season so it does look like Besiktas will have trouble to transfer him.

Galatasaray and Besiktas are interested to tranfer Wolfsburg player Bas Dost.

Wolfsburg player Bas Dost has been among most talked players to be transferred at this summer transfer window with reports going around that both Galatasaray and Besiktas are interested to transfer him.

Up to now, it was Galatasaray who is doing most of negotiations and does have some advantage if according to the developments at the media. However, so far it is unclear if Bas Dost is willing to join one of those clubs even through he does look to ending his career at the Wolfsburg which does Turkish teams upper hand for now. Bas Dost has been got also good resume from head coach Jan Olde Riekerink and player Wesley Sneijder and would give some strength at the front for the Galatasaray next season if he would be transferred.

For now, it does look like Galatasaray has an upper hand and between two sides its more likely for Bas Dost to join them but still there is much needed to be done at negotiation front yet between club and Wolfsburg.
