Trabzonspor has got an important win against Corum in sense of motivation.
Trabzonspor has recieved a comfortable win at Turkish Cup at 4th round with 6:0 scoreline against 3rd league side Corum Belediyespor with playing its main squad despite of 2nd squad as has been expected prior to game.
It was important as has been stated in our preview section at yesterday blog for Trabzonspor to show confident performance and result against Corum Belediyespor due of its poor recent performance and even more importantly prior to Super League 10th week game against Galatasaray. And Trabzonspor just had shown this as it has won its weak opponents with 6:0 scoreline dominating whole game. It was also crucial for goals to come from players which would be playing an important role for future of the team as 2 goals each has come from Hugo Rodallega and N'doye and and also from Oganyi Onazi and Bondinga, who is meanwhile expected to take place of Rodallega at game against Galatasaray. Trabzonspor only negative side is direct red card which has been recieved by Rodallega and he would now miss game on 29th October against Galatasaray. Still an important win for a team
to regain its motivational boost.
Corum Belediyespor did come out as low chances to bring surprising result and with its performance it did allow for Trabzonspor to play its own football which led them to lose game in such scoreline. Only thing which has taken from Corlu Belediyespor from game is to enjoy game and get some experience.
Trabzonspor has got now much needed motivation boost prior to Galatasaray game and would come to that game with strong self-belief at least.
Besiktas player Caner Erkin needs to be punished for swearing to Mete Kalkavan.
One of the most talking points following Super League 9th week games has been behaviour of Besiktas player Caner Erkin who has used foul language towards referee of their game game against Basaksehirspor Metin Kalkavan.
Following recieving yellow card following foul Besiktas player has used foul language towards his mother and should been given direct red card but Kalkavan has stated at his referee report that he didnt hear it and hence didnt provide following action towards Erkin. However, Professional Disciplinary Committee would talk about following actions and would look like to fine and possibly ban him for up to 4 games. However, even more important is how would his club Besiktas, which shows itself as polite team, would act as it goes against everything whole image and belief of the club. It is expected that he would recieve seperate fine from team if Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman believes into teams slogan. It is important to note also that Caner Erkin is known to show such behaviour before hand in his career. Therefore, he does need to recieve fine both from disciplinary committee and his club.
It is important to send message to player that this is not behaviour and best way to do it its to send in harshest way as possible.
Konyaspor has made an agreement to appoint coach Mehmet Ozdilek.
Following terminating contract with its head coach Mustafa Resit Okcay and having ongoing negotiations with number of the coaches, Konyaspor has made an agreement to appoint head coach Mehmet Ozdilek.
It needs to be reminded once again with season going into way, and in fact being on early days, it is specifically hard to find good head coach during this period so therefore Konyaspor did have limited amount of options at the hand. However, it could be very arguably if Mehmet Ozdilek is great option as unfortunately his coaching performance is pretty far from footballing career at Besiktas and he wasnt able to have any reasonable noticeable achievements. Coming to the team which are low at the table and needs to get urgently good results both from domestic and Europe would led Mehmet Ozdilek as he needs to motivate players and also aim to let players provide maximum performance which their had lacked since Super Cup game. Job for Mehmet Ozdilek is not easy and its questionable if he would be able to solve those issues.
Stating that Mehmet Ozdilek does in same time need to be given chance and hopefully he would prove this blog wrong but previous achievements of him doesnt show good signs unfortunately.
