What happened in Turkish football today? 11/10/2017
Tolgay Arslan announces that he has made deal with Besiktas for 4-year extension.
Besiktas player Tolgay Arslan during an interview with Turkish newspaper has stated that club and himself have made deal for extension of contract for 4 years as rumours surrounding of him making an extension contract with himself and other midfielders has been going around in media in last few days.
It was highly expected that Besiktas would not have much issue at making deal to extend contract with Tolgay Arslan as he has felt happy at the team even through he doesnt recieve much playing time at the team. Despite of that, he could be referred as an important player at the squad as he does provide high level performance when he recieves time. This willing of Tolgay Arslan to extend contract with team where he doesnt recieve much playing time is certainly also proves that he is happy at the team and that Senol Gunes and administrators are treating him well. This extension therefore is good news also for Besiktas as Tolgay Arslan as player does have potentiality to improve with his performance in upcoming years.
Now focus would be done towards possible extension of contracts with both Oguzhan Ozyakup and Atiba Hutchinson who would likely be willing to extend those contract without much issues.
Galatasaray signs professional contract with its youth player Celil Yuksel for 3 years.
With talks about Turkish clubs giving more attention and development to its Turkish youth players, has come news that Galatasaray has signed professional contract with its 19-year old youth player Celil Yuksel for 3 years which by many is seen as future star of the Turkish football.
In fact, it is known that number of staff members at the Galatasaray and general people who have seen Celil Yuksel performance at the academy has referred him as Turkish Luka Modric. This statement surely does show that Yuksel is high level player with good potentiality but its important for Galatasaray, an issue discussed at our blog, to develop him as stronger player and make sure that he responds to this statements and contract with high level of football. If Galatasaray, would be able to develop Celil Yuksel in upcoming 3 years in high level with allowing him to play number of games than he would be able to develop into an important player for Turkish National Team. Surely, his 1st games would not be in top level due of stress at competing at Super League with club like
Galatasaray, but to solve this issue from him is to give him lots of playing time.
Signing him and giving him trust for future is very important for a team but its now also important to allow him to play and help him to develop as with all other players around Turkey at youth academy.
Vagner Love manager admits that Fenerbahce is interested to transfer him.
During today's radio interview, Alanyaspor player Vagner Love manager Ayhan Yesilbas has stated that Fenerbahce are interested to transfer his player at mid-season transfer window.
This possibility has been mentioned at our blog few days ago that Fenerbahce are showing interest most important player at Alanyaspor Vagner Love to strengthen their attacking squad which wasnt able to fulfill its potentiality. With Love being among most goal-scoring players with 7 goals, and also most goal-scoring player at last season this interest by Fenerbahce is highly understandbly.
Interestingly, players manager Yesilbas during today's interview has stated that this interest is true and even stated that Love would perform very good at team hence approving that Love might leave to the team. However, it does look unlikely that Alanyaspor would be willing to sell him as he is most important player, but again a good offer from Fenerbahce migth do a trick.
With mid-season transfer window rumours start taking place at Turkish media this does look like to be one of the topics for January and we would see if this transfer would come into reality.
