Besiktas has created stressfull situation to themselves with draw against Fenerbahce.
Besiktas has lost an important chance to get a good advantage over Basaksehirspor for its title race as it has conceded goal by mistakes which were provided both by Fabri and Marcelo at the last minute of the Super League 30th week derby game against Fenerbahce.
During the game it needs to be stated that Besiktas has controlled for most of the parts especially during whole 2nd half. It has in fact provided a better and attacking football compare to the last week game against Basaksehirspor and has created high number of the chances but one of the mistakes of the team was to believe that their have won game too early. This confidence is always very dangerous as simple mistake during the game, as it happened at the game yesterday, could change everything both at the game and at the title race. What makes it even less understanding is that Fenerbahce was playing with 9 men at this moment of the time. The main mistake meanwhile at the position was by Fabri as he did come out without much control at the front and what looks to be from position, didnt scream Marcelo that the ball was in his control. Besiktas has created issues for last 4 weeks to themselves at this game.
Right now point difference is 2 points with Basaksehirspor, and it does look like we would have an exciting ending to the Super League season as Besiktas would aim to get into winning ways at the upcoming game against struggling Bursaspor.
Fenerbahce couldnt respond to Besiktas fast play and were lucky to get draw.
Even through Fenerbahce has shown a celebration after finding equalised goal by mistake of Besiktas players, it didnt get what it was seeking for as it is 8 point behind Besiktas with also Basaksehirspor being ahead of them with 6 points after 30th week games.
Therefore, Fenerbahce did throw itself of the title race and still has chance to get 2nd place but it doesnt look like Basaksehirspor who is seriously fighting for title race would give this spot to them. Fenerbahce has tried to play a similar performance against big teams during this season, but when conceding goal from Vincent Aboubakar and general being faced with highly motivated attacking team it has failed to respond. Not counting own goal by Marcelo, Fenerbahce has only created one chance by Emmanuel Emenike or otherwise their didnt perform well enough. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce player Volkan Demirel at the defending goal did play an important role to lead for a draw as Besiktas did come at front in some occassions. It does look like Fenerbahce would end season at the 3rd place but still needs to show high class football at the end of the season.
Fenerbahce as been stated still has chance to fight for 2nd place but with 12 points at questions it would be hard task. With following result Fenerbahce lost a lot, but it gave excitement to the end of this season.
Basaksehirspor deserves league title.
With Besiktas drawing with Fenerbahce at the Super League 30th week game,has provided a good chance for Basaksehirspor to get closer to the league title as it is now 2 points behind the leaders and did manage to show great comeback at the table, as one point it was behind Besiktas for 7 points.
This season Basaksehirspor has managed to stay at the top 2 for whole of the season with almost half of it being as leaders and has managed to win big opponents, with only losing once to Fenerbahce. It needs to be mentioned that at the game played against Antalyaspor on 5th May it has scored towards end of the game by Napoleoni, which provided certainly an extra excitement to the Besiktas at the game yesterday which certainly has affected them. Basaksehirspor dream for league title carries on as it would be looking for a win against Adanaspor during 31st week. Stating that it does have a game against Trabzonspor which could be toughest one in last 4 games.
Basaksehirspor performance this season surely needs to be praised and the team does deserve this league title but last 4 weeks would show if it would be able to get over Besiktas.
