Galatasaray has dominated game against Bursaspor as it aims to stay at Europa League spot.
Galatasaray has shown very dominating game against Bursaspor during Super League 29th week game which has reflected to the scoreline of 5:0. As team has been recently been criticised for not providing a great game it has won with comfortable scoreline with increasing tempo.
It needs to be stated however that it was playing against Bursaspor who is having a poor period of its performance and this poor period of the team has been reflected to today's game. As much as Galatasaray been providing a positive football, in same manner Bursaspor has been poor. But even taking this account, Galatasaray has been controlling whole game today and has provided very attacking football which was missing during last week games. After making scoreline as 2:0 Galatasaray has been dominating tempo of the game and has controlled game as much as wanted, which it has done a lot during this season but this time it was able to convert this dominance in possession and scoreline also. This win would make their spot for the Europa League more confident as it now has made point difference with Trabzonspor to 4 points with 5 games left until end of the season.
Bursaspor which was presenting pretty poor performance during last weeks has not been able to provide any response to Galatasaray fast tempo and has never entered to the game and was making too much mistakes at defence. Such a performance has led team's head coach Mutlu Topcu to resign from his post stating that team new blood at coaching role.
Galatasaray is currently 8 points behind 2nd place Basaksehirspor and has pretty difficult task to end season as runner-up spot but it is known that prior to today's game it has set an aim to win all games, achieving first win today. Right now more realistic aim for Galatasaray is to stay as top 4 and get Europa League ticket.
Besiktas wasnt entirely focussed to Basaksehirspor.
Even through Besiktas is still closest side to become champions of this season with 5 weeks to go, it has made situation into more stressful themselves by losing with 3:1 scoreline to its direct opponent Basaksehirspor during Super League 29th week.
If Besiktas has at least drawn against Basaksehirspor, it would have 7 point advantage and have full control of its situation and having a chance to even lose 2 game during this 5 games however right now it has led for them to only lose one game as with same points Basaksehirspor gets title, and taking account Fenerbahce will be next week game its situation is more tougher. Again, its needed to be underline that 5 games to be played, 4 point advantage shows that team is in good condition but what is more worrying is that since losing to Olympique Lyon on penatlies at Europa League there was degrease of the performance possibly due of losing concentration and getting confident for league title. Besiktas players didnt manage to get focussed entirely to the game which was a surprising factor assuming that this was by far most important game for them during whole Super League campaign this season. In other hand, Basaksehirspor has shown full concentration to the game and has punished Besiktas at first 18 minutes for this too much relaxation from them.
Besiktas would certainly have a tough game against Fenerbahce and regardless into performance of them their need to get points. If it wont get a win next week, we might have very exciting ending of season which only recently looked like to be ended with 3 weeks in hand.
Moussa Sow has brought 3 points to Fenerbahce from Rizespor game.
Fenerbahce during its Super League 29th week game has managed to win a crucial game against Rizespor despite still not providing good performance against teams which are located at bottom of the table, problem it had during whole season.
Fenerbahce it needs to be stated did start game like top club with finding an early goal and getting control of the game however the conceded goal which has happened from defender Sener Ozbayrakli has provided motivation to Rizespor to fight for important point it needs to stay at the league. That conceded goal has led Fenerbahce to play more controlled game and at the game where Fenerbahce has better class players compare to its opponents it looked like both teams are in same level. Still, Fenerbahce player Moussa Sow was one of the most focussed player who wanted most to win this game which led him to find winning goal at the extra time, even through 2nd yellow card from Rizespor, totally needless, has made Fenerbahce to find task much easier. It would come out to Besiktas game next week with high motivation and self-belief and if it plays with right tactic it can get a win with Besiktas who seems to lose concentration right now.
With 8 points behind Besiktas prior to derby game, the win could provide, even very small chance to suddenly for league title but before that it needs to catch Basaksehirspor who is 4 points ahead of them. Yesterday results has made league exciting again, but in few weeks it would be clear if this excitement will carry on to last week.
