Basaksehirspor shows to everyone that it would fight for league title until the end.
Basaksehirspor has provided suprisingly easy win at the most important game of the season as it has managed to win league leaders Besiktas with 3:1 scoreline during Super League 29th week game and has dropped point difference to 4 points with 5 games to be played.
It was observed from start at the game that despite of all difficulties which Basaksehirspor has experienced during last week it has come to the game much more motivated and prepared compare to its opponents. In fact it has started game in similar manner as it did against Fenerbahce during Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game with finding early goals today scoring 3 in first 18 minutes. Basaksehirspor star Cengiz Under has once again provided great performance showing everyone who is following Turkish football that he is being great player and is very likely to play for top club in Turkey or even in Europe in near future. As Basaksehirspor, tend to do during this season it has been rightly prepared tactically and has always played an attacking football with preventing Besiktas to go forward again.
In other hand, Besiktas which was praised a lot during this whole season and was expected to almost quarentee its league title at today's game didnt only make its task at getting league title at the end of the season more tougher but has provided worrying image to the last 5 games of the season towards its own fans. It has been looked to be too relaxed and start game heavily in performance wise and wasnt able to raise its usual tempo. There was no single time when Besiktas has provided a high tempo which could be happened for being too relax with league title being so close to the team. This results does happen eventually as team goes to league title but at the game where it has played with its direct opponent this performance would be seen as suprising by Besiktas. With playing next week with Fenerbahce and possibly losing 3 points at that game it would also bring more excitement at the end of season.
With following win Basaksehirspor has shown to everyone, especially to Besiktas, that its aim to get surprising league title with 5 games left at the season will be fighting for and will not provide an easy title for league leaders. As long as Basaksehirspor carries on performing at top level it can make this memorable season even more historical.
Fenerbahce has won Rizespor with 2:1 but their had some trouble to achieve that.
Fenerbahce has managed to win with 2:1 scoreline against Rizespor during Super League 29th game however it wasnt an easy task as the opponents were hoping to get at least point since their are at the relegation zone.
It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce has started game with a full control with finding an early goal thanks to the Moussa Sow at the 3rd minute and began controlling game and it looked like Istanbul side might have an easy task against Rizespor. However as the game progressed and with conciding goal on 15th minute, Fenerbahce performance has been declined and it has played with a same level as Rizespor until around 80th minute. During 10 minutes with suddenly remembering that it could have a realistic chance to clinch runners-up spot at the table it has provided more attacking football towards last minutes of the game. Stating that Fenerbahce still had difficulty during game and it is uncertain if their could find a winning goal without Rizespor recieving red card. Bad news for Fenerbahce during today's game has also been yellow recieved by Mehmet Topal who would miss next week derby game against Besiktas.
Rizespor it needs to be stated did provide pretty good performance regarding their position at the table and did approach to game to at least get a win regarding of strength of the opponents. Even through it is difficult for Rizespor to stay at the league it would been provide them extra motivation with 1 point.
Fenerbahce did manage to win game with also providing good spirit towards last minute but once again their performance is below their level and this performance is not good enough to beat Besiktas next week.
Trabzonspor didnt use its opportunity for fight for 4th place even through it attacked a lot during game.
Trabzonspor has lost a good opportunity at getting 3 points during its fight for Europa League spot as it has drawn with Genclerbirligi during Super League 29th week despite of providing a very attacking football.
The game has been dominated by Trabzonspor against opponent who is currently without any big aims despite of finishing league with the best place and points it can. The game as been mentioned has been dominated by Trabzonspor but as head coach Ersun Yanal has stated after game that problem during today's game was for players to be playing too slowly and not creating many chances as game progressed. Another aspect has been of wasting good chances by Hugo Rodallega and Olcay Sahan during the game as their did get to very good chances. Genclerbirligi didnt necessary provide good performance but with their defence it has also played an important role for preventing their opponents to go much forward and creating good chances.
With Galatasaray not providing very good performance during this period, Trabzonspor does still has good chances to finish at 4th place but with 5 games left at the season it is certain that all games matters for both sides.
