Bursaspor poor performance has allowed Galatasaray to get a comfortable win.
Following pretty poor performance during recent weeks by Bursaspor, Galatasaray has managed to win Bursaspor with dominating football and also comfortable scoreline of 5:0. However, one of the questions during the game is was Galatasaray really successful or was it due of their opponents being in poor condition right now.
Bursaspor is having very poor performance right now and didnt provide any reaction to the Galatasaray game at the Super League 30th week game and was providing too simple and slow performance. Therefore, as long as Galatasaray responds with positive football to its opponent than it would get an upper hand during the game and get a win. However, there is also some positive changes which has happened at this game. Galatasaray did play number of games like that during this season where their opponents has been not motivated much but it was playing controlling ball rather than creating chances. Finding 5 goals with even chance to make goal scoreline even bigger shows that Galatasaray has approached to team seriously. It is urgent for Galatasaray to start winning games as it does have risk of losing Europa League spot to Trabzonspor at the end of the season. This performance would certainly have lead them into bigger motivation for last 5 games.
Compare to its other opponents including Trabzonspor at top spot it has easiest fixture of last 5 games and would be referred as almost champions if it was in top of the league right now. It is expected for Galatasaray with low motivation to get important points from opponents which are not highy motivated.
Bursaspor head coach Mutlu Topcu has resigned from his position.
In fact, Bursaspor has been providing such a poor performance in recent weeks that it didnt provide any motivation and fighting spirit at the game against Galatasaray at all and this was also observed from head coach Mutlu Topcu statements after game who has provided his resignation after the game.
Mutlu Topcu has stated that team has lost this winning aspect and is lacking motivation taking account that this team has much bigger potentiality. In fact, Mutlu Topcu didnt provide much high performance to the team when he has joined the team as their had only won 2 games in duration of his 10 week reign and only getting 8 points out of possible 30. It needs to be stated that Mutlu Topcu is not very bad coach and there is possibility as he stated following games that there is issues inside the team, in the administrative board which could lead for this but he needs to be self-critical why this mistakes were done at the team which has such a great squad. This was not a great season from Bursaspor and it needs to identify this issue, finish league at its highest position it is capable and plan team for upcoming season.
Right now Bursaspor is 8 points above relegation zone and is very likely to stay at the league but if it doesnt get points in upcoming weeks it can find itself at the difficult position in duration of the last weeks.
Basaksehirspor advantage is not having much pressure towards players compare to big clubs.
As been mentioned at the last week entries, Basaksehirspor game during Super League 30th week against Besiktas would be a most important game of this season as the result could affect rest of the season and its just managed to do that.
With Basaksehirspor winning with 3:1 scoreline it didnt only state that it is back on the race but also has provided pressure to its opponents. In both ways, club would be winner and hence players doesnt feel much pressure. Even when Bursaspor was going towards league title on 2009-10 season it looked to be unlikely but their wrote history so why would Basaksehirspor provide same result. Everything can happen whatever media in Turkey states.
