Besiktas has regained leadership with beating Bursaspor with 2:0 scoreline
Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes and player Ricardo Quaresma has played 100th games at their teams during Super League 31st week game against Bursaspor and has won a very important game for their road to league title and has regained its leadership from Basaksehirspor with 2 point advantage with 3 games left at the season.
It needs to be noted that Besiktas did feel pressure during the game especially at 1st half with being behind Basaksehirspor at the table prior to kick-off and didnt create chance until 30th minute until Ricardo Quaresma free-kick. Besiktas meanwhile has won game with two very similar goals with Cenk Tosun at 65th minute and Vincent Aboubakar at the last second of the game as both has passed Bursaspor goalkeeper Harun Tekin and has just needed to touch ball to the empty goal. Bursaspor did provide a good resistance towards Besiktas and has played very organised game in last few games. Today's game has shown to Besiktas that road to the title will not be an easy one as Besiktas would quite naturally, in similar manner as Basaksehirspor, feel pressure at the last games. Besiktas has won game with its good fighting spirit which it needed to show with good performance by most of the players.
As been stated above, Bursaspor compare to its previous games has shown great performance at the game and has provided a good resistance and gave tough times to one of the candidates of the league title. Even through Bursaspor didnt secure its place at the Super League for this season it is just 1 point away to do but it does need lots of changes in summer transfer window.
League title race is going with great excitement with Basaksehirspor and Besiktas winning games this week. With Besiktas playing with Kasimpasa, and Basaksehirspor against Trabzonspor this week promises to be key week for league title race.
Galatasaray is now aiming for 3rd position as it got closer to Fenerbahce.
Galatasaray has managed to win Gaziantepspor with 2:1 scoreline during Super League 31st week at the season which it has unstable performance and have some lack of the fighting spirit which in some years ago the team has been charecterised as.
It needs to be mentioned that at the game, which it was playing against team which are at relegation area and are close to be relegated, it has started game in pretty good way and has provided very attacking football. In fact despite of all criticism which Galatasaray has recieved during this season it needs to be mentioned that it did show pretty good performance against teams which are struggling, but this certainly will not be enough. During yesterday's game the goal which it has conceded has come again from corner and from header of Genclerbirligi which one again shows problems which team has experienced with set pieces and high balls during whole season. With Wesley Sneijder once again showing to everyone his star level of football by scoring on 80th minute from free-kick has brought a win to Galatasaray. Right now, team would aim to keep at good mood for last 3 games at the season and aim for 3rd position as it is currently 2 points behind Fenerbahce.
The performance at yesterday game has also shown that the events which took place during last week did send strong message to players prior and during the game but this performance is still not enough for next season.
Both Konyaspor and Kasimpasa have equal chances to get to the Turkish Cup final.
Turkish Cup semi-final round games would be resumed with Konyaspor and Kasimpasa game at the 2nd leg game as we would find out 1st finalist of this season competition. With Kasimpasa winning 1st game with 3:2 scoreline, it needs to be stated that it does have 0.5 goal advantage prior tomorrow game.
Even through Kasimpasa is coming out with better advantage, Konyaspor does have good chances as it would be expected to play with strong supporters as with 2 away goals. Even through it still could have won 1st leg game with 2:0 scoreline, it still has good chances. Both teams as it is known are aiming to end season with Turkish Cup and end season at high note and get direct ticket to the Europa League for next season. It is therefore to be expected a good game with lots of chances and both teams giving their all, with Kasimpasa probably looking for fast goal at the game to make tie into their hand and therefore get an away goal and make 1st leg win advantage even more stronger.
Its hard to call who would get win as both teams have equal chances and hence makes game even more exciting and open to any result.
