Wesley Sneijder goal has brought 3 points against Gaziantepspor to Galatasaray.
Following due of crise which took place within Galatasaray during last week game against
Kasimpasa, the game between Gaziantepspor during Super League 31st week has recieved much more interest from the media and was among most curious results of this week.
Galatasaray despite of having so much issues inside the team and being at critical condition within the team has managed to win the game against Gaziantepspor with 2:1 scoreline and has stayed at the 4th place which means that if it manages to stay at this position or even move up to 3rd place it will be able to compete at the Europa League. Basaksehirspor has managed to show comeback against Genclerbirligi despite of not providing great performance.
Basaksehirspor has got a very important win against Genclerbirligi during Super League 31st week game as it got leadership at the table with game at hand and still carries on its aims for getting league title after 3 games.
It needs to be noted that Basaksehirspor did not provide its best football but this fighting spirit which was shown especially during 2nd half is the character which is need for a team which is fighting for league title. Their opponents has shown strong defensive game which led for Basaksehirspor difficulty to break down especially at the 1st half and the team did have trouble at raising tempo which is certainly is key aspect when playing against team which closes down at the defence. As Fenerbahce, has certainly lost even chance to get to the Champions League qualifying as runner-up of the league, it has ended the season itself and possibly would now provide full focus to the Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game against Basaksehirspor.
Fenerbahce did have chance to find itself at the title race once again if it has managed to beat Besiktas at last week, but with being incredibly lucky with a draw it has lost all of the aims at the Super League. Since it became almost certain that Fenerbahce would likely end season at the 3rd place and possibly with Turkish Cup, the players has come out to the Antalyaspor game at turn off mood. Antalyaspor has won meanwhile very important game for them as their is chance to end season at 5th place which could bring them Europa League qualifying stage, which is incidentally can happen if Fenerbahce (or Basaksehirspor) win Turkish Cup. It is expected that Fenerbahce would provide a similar performance as the season comes to its conclusion as everyone at the team mentally are arleady at the summer break.
Right now as would be expected full focus by the team would be given to the 2nd leg semi-final game against Basaksehirspor at the Turkish Cup as by winning it Fenerbahce would get to the Europa League without qualifiers.
