What happened in Turkish football today? 29.03.2016

Turkey has won against Austria but there are areas which needs to be improved before Euro 2016.

Turkish National Team carries on its defeatless streak of 13 games with 2:1 scoreline against Austria despite of pretty poor performance and obtaining the win of this friendly game with the help of individual performances by Hakan Calhanoglu and Arda Turan.

Turkish National Team, especially during 1st half, didnt manage to control ball enough and had lack of attacks and had converted first goal from free-kick expert of Hakan Calhanoglu but there were some weaknesses at its defence and also Turkey needs to improve at finding dangerous attacks during game play rather than on relying set pieces which happen with individual performance of the players. Saying that Austria didnt find also lots of attacks even through it did dominate whole of the first half and had been seen more dangerous with more fast pace and more controlled game. Turkey meanwhile provided bit performance during 2nd half with more control and with the game becoming into point where both teams could get win. Surely, this game will provide some of the lessons to Fatih Terim which he would try to improve prior to Euro 2016 this summer, especially problems at defence.

Turkish National Team has carried on its winning streak and keeping its motivation at high which is very important for a team which is known to be dominated by emotionality which affect to the team performance.

Meanwhile, its hard to state anything with Austria as it performance was not also at its top due of friendly game but surely Turkey did provide them difficult time which is positive factor from game to Turkish national team head coach Fatih Terim.

Trabzonspor will introduce "plane" and "bus" season tickets.

Trabzonspor has announced that it would introduce from next season "plane" and "bus" season tickets for the fans who are living outside of Trabzon for the home games to be played at currently under construction statium Akyuzu. This system would be first one to be used in the Turkey in this manner.

The idea for this season ticket that by purchasing it you would be to use cash to fly or travel to Trabzon as there is high number of fans of team not only in Trabzon but all around Turkey and hence providing them easier chance to go to the games. This system is surely would be unusual and if its going to work it would allow for games at home to be more fulfilled as the number of supporters would come will dramatically rise. It is known that Trabzonspor fans are located all around country and also around the world, including in Istanbul, but it is questionable if their would come regularly to Trabzon but the idea is nice and does provide big change in the marketing of the team and its new stadium.

So far, this could be seen as most unique and revolutionizing idea from Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta and if it does work it will give something to be proud for him at his reign as CEO, among its new stadium.

Fenerbahce is more advantegous with derby to be played on 13th April.

Turkish Football Federation announcement of Super League 27th week postponed game to be played on 13th April is in fact a bad news for Galatasaray as three players will not be able to play and those players can provide key and crucial role to the team at the game.

Those players are Wesley Sneijder, Hakan Balta and Sabri Sarioglu who have lots of experience and made huge marks at the previous games against Fenerbahce, be it goals, assists or defensive performance. There is big criticism towards Galatasaray administrators for not getting game to be played on 28th April, which it had stated would be date that their wanted. The problem here is not date of the game, but current administrators once again losing its "battle" and providing populist talks that it will get 28th April as set date. With those injuries, unless there would be unexpected early recoveries, game will go into advantage to Fenerbahce who are fighting for league title.

With game to be played on 13th April is more favourable for Fenerbahce with those injuries at opponents and also for  not getting too much stress with title race against Besiktas who would have always one game more is also plus for them.
