Two Volkan's in Fenerbahce has brought an important win.
Fenerbahce has got very important win against Besiktas yesterday with 2:0 scoreline as it puts itself back directly at the title race with 2 point leadership with Besiktas having game in hand. Apart of the fact that it had won game against its direct rivals it has also showed great performance at the game.
The key players of the game were two Volkan's : Volkan Sen and Volkan Demirel who played an important role at the 3 points which were taken at the game. Surely, 3rd minute goal scored by Volkan Sen has broken all the plans and tactics among its morale to the Besiktas and hence allowed especially at 1st half for Fenerbahce to control the game. As Besiktas in expected manner started showing more attacking football at the 2nd half, perfomance by Volkan Demirel has played an important role at the game. With the crucial saves by Demirel the team had managed to win the game and hence have also 2nd goal scored by Luis Nani.
The following game was also best performance by head coach Vitor Pereira in technically wise as his changes at right minutes has brought incredible change at the team. Vitor Pereira has made right moves and he should carry on making those decisions in upcoming games to get title at the end of the season.
Calmness of being at title race has affected performance of Besiktas.
Besiktas at other side has provided one of the poorest performances of this season and possibly the 3rd minute goal and general relaxation of the players compare to Fenerbahce prior to game has brought this performance.
The team did not manage to control game in very effective way and its attacks were poor despite of fact that it had number of dangerous ones during 2nd half. With Mario Gomez providing one of the poorest perfomances since joining team and have problems at getting into positions even through
Fenerbahce defence did their job very good also. Best player at Besiktas was Ricardo Quaresma who even managed to get applause by Volkan Demirel during his cross towards penalty at the end of the game. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes possibly was too certain that this game wont affect into title race to make such mistakes at the game.
Besiktas is still at title race as it has game in hand with Trabzonspor and have chances to regain leadership when games played are equal but yesterday performance does raise questions prior to very crucial upcoming games for team.
Galatasaray will play against Akhisar Belediyespor with lots of stress.
Resignation of Galatasaray head coach Mustafa Denizli has been accepted just the day before an important game for a team against Akhisar Belediyespor at the Turkish Cup quarter-final 2nd leg and the team will be coached by youth coach Orhan Atik.
Even if Denizli didnt resign from his post, Galatasaray would still play against Akhisar Belediyespor at Turkish Cup quarter-final 2nd leg with a lot of a stress and hence making the tournament which it takes seriously this season into difficulty of getting to semis despite of 2:1 lead. It is known that team aims to win Turkish Cup as alternative to such poor season but psychologically condition of the players would make following game difficult for them and to some extend does make Akhisar Belediyespor slight favourite. Akhisar Belediyespor does meanwhile need to score 2 goals to get through.
Whole Galatasaray team is in psychological stress right now and Akhisar Belediyespor should use this opportunity if it also wants to progress at tournament.
