Game against Sweden is an opportunity to see how ready Turkey is to Euro 2016.
Turkish National Team would start its two-game international friendly period against strong opponents Sweden which would allow them as a team to recognise its weaknesses and strengths with less than 3 months left until start of the Euro 2016.
It was announced on Monday that Sweden main star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be playing against Turkey as team decided to give him break, however this factor will not make game against Sweden any easier. As usual Fatih Terim, as it should be done at the friendlies, would very likely use players which are fighting for starting 11 spot and judge how players who are potential starting 11 players would perform against opponent just like Sweden and later against Austria. As the Euro 2016 is coming close and number of terrorists attacks around Europe has been risen there is serious conversation about playing games without supporters, moving dates or even cancel whole competition.
Since events at the France against Germany in November, it became clear that ISIS is running direct war against European nations inside European soil and one of the targets has been also football games. There is fear, quite naturally, that one of the main targets of terrorists group and preparation are towards Euro 2016 and if this is case than security companies and all of the measures prior to tournament should be taken. The option meanwhile playing without fans unfortunately, if it happens, will affect to competition of Euro 2016 and reduce all of the spirit, so it is worrying developments and decisions which would be done by UEFA as Euro 2016 is getting closer.
Despite of all this, still UEFA needs to make the decisions which would be done to secure players and fans, and if the worst scenario is to cancel whole tournament than it should be done, assuming intelligence information is strong one.
Bursaspor doesnt want to be at Passolig system from next season.
Bursaspor has announced that it will get out from Passolig system from next season and despite that TFF has stated that their wont allow this decision, it is very brave move by Bursaspor and does show that number of clubs are against system, as could be remembered when system was introduced Fenerbahce has refused to join system at beginning and tried to find its alternative system also.
Passolig has been criticised a lot since its introduction on 2014, and has been blamed for supporters not to coming to the games. Even through direct relationship of fans not coming to games and Passolig is questionable it is sure that the system has some issues. The fact of purchasing ticket via internet even through could be stated to be simple, it could be bit confusing as it is done at computers and loses number of supporters who doesnt want to get bothered. Bursaspor state that it would be introduce Bursaspor supporter card which would work like Passolig and be electronic ticket but this suggestion been declined by TFF.
Another factor which affects Passolig is uncertainty of what happens to data which is given by them from supporters and it is unclear if its been used against them. Passolig and TFF should make it more visible information about how is that data used and should prove that it is only used to prevent hooliganism at the stadiums.
