Fenerbahce has managed to win even if it didnt provide impressive football.
Fenerbahce carries on its intense title race with Besiktas as it has won game today against struggling Kayserispor with 1:0 scoreline with one goal being scored by Robin van Persie during 53rd minute of the game. Fenerbahce did not provide its best football but it still managed to win game at which it had played 2nd half with one more player than Kayserispor.
The signs of the tiredness has been seen from Europa League last 16 game against Braga including the rotation of number of plaeyers which has been made by Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira prior to important return leg game against Braga which will take place this Thursday. One of the main aspects of today's game which has been affected towards the game was the impressive performance by Robin van Persie who have found goal and had also created high number of good opportunities and didnt manage to convert them into goals due of great impressive play by Kayserispor goalkeeper. But even more worrying was the news of terror attack which has taken into Ankara today which has affected to the mood at the game and after the game, with players and coaches condemning attacks. During 2nd half of the game Fenerbahce fans were chanting patriotic and anti-terror slogans which provided totally different aspect of the viewing of the game.
Fenerbahce has managed to win an important game without a good performance and also with the help of being with extra man during 2nd half. This game could be understandable as it was played in between 2 games of Braga whose mindset of the players are still there.
Kayserispor meanwhile has created some number of chances but it was visible that team is struggling and not in level of Fenerbahce, however team needs to focus at making its place at next season secure and it can achieved it by observing of players positive attitute.
Galatasaray continues its poor performance at Super League.
Galatasaray carries on its poor performance at the Super League after drawing against Genclerbirligi game in the game which scoreline was decided by two penalties. Galatasaray has shown again poor performance at the game from its usual level and gets further from 3rd place at the league for Europa League with 7 points difference from Konyaspor.
Except of penalties which were scored by Bogdan Stancu at Genclerbirligi, and Selcuk Inan by
Galatasaray the game had also number of dangerous attacks but both sides has wasted number of chances in the game which in general was pretty slow from team which were lacking right motivation which was needed for this game. This game has shown once again that Galatasaray issues carries along and it would have pretty hard time against its archrivals Fenerbahce next week. Genclerbirligi meanwhile did find number of dangerous attacks during the game and had shown positive football but with lacking of enough quality did not manage to convert those chances into goals. The game was played also with low number of supporters which also affected game in negative manner.
Galatasaray problems is still carrying on at the game and has shown that there are some issues within players at the club and lacking solid aim prior to an important game against Fenerbahce. Galatasaray needs as been stated earlier to raise motivation if it wants to get 3rd place at the end of the season.
Genclerbirligi meanwhile tried its best to get right result but with missing number of opportunities has ended game with a draw. Not an exciting game bit important point for Genclerbirligi at the end.
Only problem with Besiktas is loss of concentration at the end of the games.
Besiktas has managed to start its 5 day journey to the Black sea region of Turkey with a win against Rizespor with a scoreline of 2:1 and has regained its leadership at the league prior to crucial postponed game against Trazbzonspor on 15th March.
Besiktas has played this game in very similar manner as it did against Eskisehirspor and apart of winning and scoring 2 goals at the game it still has shown lack of converting into goals high number of positions which it had during the game. Another aspect which was observed in same way what was realised is loss of concentration towards end of the game as it was at the last game. Besiktas is still providing high-class football which could be enough to bring them league title but the team does show some slow performances towards end of the games creating most of the time useless stress to the team when it can end job as early as 70th minute. This could be only two aspects at the team which could be solved at the team at its title race, otherwise team is performing good high quality football.
Besiktas is now focussed to game it will play against Trabzonspor, and despite of its opponent being in bad condition, the fact it will be game between arch rivals would surely not make things easy for Besiktas.
