Security and life of supporters and players is more important than any derby games.
Super League 26th week game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce has been postponed to the future date due of security concerns provided by Istanbul mayor to the Turkish Football Federation. This postponement shows how serious is terrorism right now in Turkey and the that terrorists are not targeting target to the football fans and players.
Foremost, it is important to state that decision to postpone game was correct one as it would be foolish to put into danger both supporters and players in this very difficult times which Turkey is going through both in safety and mentally. There was expectation of terrorism attack to take place today due of Novruz celebrations which is unfortunately is been used as political event both by Kurdish population and the government. At first the decision was to play it without supporters but quite understanably Galatasaray has told to postpone game altogether and if the reason of postponement is safety then federation done a right thing today.
Safety comes here foremost and people should not be dissapointed for not watching such a quality game and worry when game will be played as people life is more important than those questions regarding of game.
Besiktas needs to keep most of possession for upcoming games, as games will become harder towards an end.
Besiktas carries on winning at the Super League by obtaining another important win against
Antalyaspor with a scoreline 1:0, even through it is observed that team is not fighting in same manner as it did in the start of the season.One thing is certain Besiktas is focussed into obtaining league title at the end of the season but achieving that has become more difficult for the time as weeks at the league are getting less and less.
Compare to 1st half of the season it would be seen as bad game if Besiktas would win game with 1:0 scoreline but since all of the clubs has starting playing more compact football as for most clubs stake are higher, it is normal for Besiktas to win games like that. One thing is important for club right now and is that to keep having control of the game and if it manages to do that its opponents will recieve low number of attacks during the game and hence less chance to score goal against them.
With high number of players being selected to the national team, most players will not be able to come back in rest manner but in same time playing international friendlies would help them to stay focussed.
Trabzonspor only wins with luck and individual players.
Despite of winning the game against Sivasspor with 1:0 scoreline, Trabzonspor at performance wise still provides poor football and should consider itself lucky to obtain points from the game where Sivasspor was mainly dominating its game.
As been mentioned numerous times at our blog, Trabzonspor is having season where it only obtaining results from teams at relegation zone and not because it plays good football but because of the performance of defenders, goalkeepers and good last touches of the key players at the team. But in wise of team play, it is still far away from perfect performance which it was seeking for at the start of the season. Trabzonspor does need to use following national team break in very effective manner and try mainly to raise motivaiton of its players prior to last 8 games or otherwise it will end season way below its potential.
Trabzonspor head coach Hami Mandirali need to find solutions to this issues or things will get worser for them and he will unlucky to stay at the team for next season.
