Besiktas has got an important win despite of poor decisions by referee.
Besiktas has managed to get over Black Sea Turkish region trip with 6 points by winning against Rizespor with 2:1 scoreline and Trabzonspor with 2:0 score. With following results it has ended 25 games period at the league with 60 points and carries on being leader with 1 point ahead of Fenerbahce.
Yesterday's game against Trabzonspor was not an easy one and Besiktas needed 76 minutes to find its first goal during 2nd half during which it had controlled game but same couldnt be said for 1st half.
Even through Besiktas did play a good football in overall, the issue of stamina of the Trabzonspor has also helped Besiktas to get this important 3 points at the game. Another talking point was a performance of the referee of the game Bulent Yildirim who didnt provide two penalties to the Besiktas, one of the hand ball and other back pass. This would be a talking point of the game if Besiktas didnt gain a win. It also shown that problems with referees in Turkey still carries on.
Besiktas is now looking forward for Saturday game on 19th March against Antalyaspor against team which is having poor season but always have capability of making surprising results just like 4:2 win against Fenerbahce earlier this season.
Trabzonspor poor performance lies into psychology of players.
Trabzonspor has shown some positive sights at the game yesterday against Besiktas such as willing to create chances and control the ball but all those factors has taken place during 1st half which does raise questions of the stamina of the team.
The various events which happened at this season with Trabzonspor has surely affected to players mentally and physically and those aspects has surely led to the poor performance of the team. As said some positive football has at least been shown and it was seen that players wanted to win the game and provide its best but it has trouble to do to keep fast pace for whole game hence only winning against teams which are at relegation zone and not able to play top football shows that clearly to us. It is hard to manage such a team by Hami Mandirali but more pressure needs to be given for the trainings which team is having right now or this issue will not be solved.
Trabzonspor needs to train more and try to solve those issues which club has which led players to underperform possibly with the help of psychologist. If Trabzonspor wants to become better team next season it needs to end season at high note.
Fenerbahce has strong advantage from 1st leg but it needs to use it at 2nd leg in game against Braga.
Fenerbahce will be coming out for the Europa League last 16 2nd leg game against Braga with 1:0 lead score from 1st leg, however tomorrow game will be much difficult for a team as we would be very likely see different performance by the Braga.
Braga is known to play fast and attacking football at its home ground and would surely start game at the fast pace and try its hardest to find goals during the game. Therefore, it is important for defenders of Fenerbahce to stay focussed during whole game and not allow much freedom of movement to the Braga players if it wants to keep score leadership at its hand. Fenerbahce another option is also to find fast goal so from start to put Braga into stress as it needs to find 3 goals after which could be much difficult task for Braga. However, by going forward it should not forget about its defence as it might find itself in much difficult task when it concedes before scoring.
By not conceding and scoring goal at the 1st leg Fenerbahce has turned this tie into strong advantage for itself but it is important to keep that advantage and turned it on the way for team to go through at the 2nd leg tomorrow.
