What happened in Turkish football today? 07.04.2017

Konyaspor has managed to pass Sivasspor even through it wasnt easy at all.

Konyaspor has managed to get to the Turkish Cup semi-final stage after beating Sivasspor with 3:2 scoreline during 2nd leg of quarter-final which has also set final aggregate scoreline. The game yesterday as been mentioned has been played as duel since Konyaspor has got leadership twice during the game.

However, Sivasspor which is currently 2nd placed at the 1st league, has also managed to comeback with finding goals at most crucial times and getting an advantage due of away goal rule. The main person which has helped Konyaspor to get to the semi-final has certainly been Fofana who has scored twice during game including winning goal on 78th minute. At this tie, Konyaspor were coming as favourite but due of poor results in this season it still has managed to repeat its performance from last season and would now look forward for possible final as it would meet against Kasimpasa. That game promises to be an exciting one as the difference between two clubs generally and also in this season is too close and both sides in fact does have good chance to get to the final.

As remembered, Konyaspor did provide good performance at Turkish Cup last season but it hasnt managed to pass Fenerbahce with who it could meet at the final if both teams manage to pass semi-final stage, and Konyaspor does have good chance to achieve that.

Olympique Lyon game might affect negatively to Besiktas game against Trabzonspor game

Besiktas will have one of the most toughest games during 2nd half of the season and its road for securing its title as it would meet against Trabzonspor in their home ground against team which has managed to provide best performance for 2nd half.

Both teams would come out in good form however Besiktas does seem to be in stressful situation a bit more as it still would aim to make its league title in more stronger aspect and also would play against Olympique Lyon at Europa League on 13th April. As it is know it wasnt able to get good results during period when it has met against Olympiakos and hence it is unclear how Besiktas would perform but according to last game against Genclerbirligi it does look to be in good condition. Meanwhile, there are also reports that Besiktas player Fabri would be able to play against Trabzonspor which is certainly is good news for a team. Taking account how teams perform recently its game to close to be called and promises to be game with full of excitement.

As been stated, if Besiktas manages to win game and with possibility of loss points of Basaksehirspor against Galatasaray Besiktas might almost secure its league title as we enter to referandum break.

Trabzonspor is more calmer mentally before Besiktas game.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor with playing good football does have less pressure compare to Besiktas,
with only pressure  it could have for game is playing at home. Even through it could be argued that Trabzonspor did perform not as good as it did last 2 games, it is high at motivation for this game.

This high motivation therefore would very likely affect possibly to the team for the game against Besiktas and without being too much worried for league position and other tournaments its mindset would be focussed entirely to the game. Trabzonspor being best team according to performance at the league after New Year break therefore would surely look at the game like that and believe that their can win game. Another interesting factor is also of course for Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes playing against Trabzonspor away game at sports complex named after him which would certainly provide him mixed feeling prior to game but he needs to respond to that as professionally as any head coach would in this situation.

Trabzonspor does have less pressure compare to Besiktas and if it manages to turn this into advantage it can get a win against leaders of the league and would certainly do their best during game.
