Besiktas has become one step closer to league title with beating Genclebirligi.
Besiktas has won an important game during Super League 26th week game against Genclerbirligi with comfortable scoreline of the 3:0 and has made 5 point difference against 2nd place team Basaksehirspor after their had lost game to Akhisar.
Besiktas has shown full concentration towards the game especially during 2nd half with providing an attacking football always looking for position and basically creating chances. In fact, with today's performance it has become clear that Besiktas does provide best football in the country and has set even more their eye into obtaining title for 2nd year back-to-back. Taking account that Genclerbirligi has shown good performance themselves with playing compact football and creating number of the chances it has has shown that it can find response to any side. It needs to be stated that loss of 4 points during last 2 weeks has been mainly affected to the Europa League quarter-finals game against Olympiakos. Only bad news for Besiktas has been eye injury by Fabiano towards end of the 1st half of the game, but he is expected to resume training sessions in upcoming days.
Genclerbirligi despite of losing game with 3:0 scoreline has provided a good performance especially during 1st half and this performance at the upcoming weeks could lead them to end season at higher note and good results.
Besiktas currently has 5 point difference with 2nd placed Basaksehirspor and with 8 games left at the season, it does come slowly and slowly to the league title at the end of the season as long it stays focussed.
Trabzonspor has won Black Sea derby with N'Doye goal.
Trabzonspor has managed to carry on its undefeated 2nd half of the season with a single goal by N'Doye during Black Sea derby against Rizespor during Super League 26th week game and has recieved an important motivation prior to Besiktas game next week.
At the game which was surprising played at half empty stadium, Trabzonspor has provided an attacking football and has created number of the chances even through it didnt provide too much dominance compare to previous games this season. The goal which was scored in fact has been scored from Zeki Yavru shot which on the way to goal has touched Ogenzyi Onazi, apart of that however Trabzonspor has provided a great focus taking account that some players were not available for the game due of injuries. It needs to be stated that Trabzonspor did have trouble at creating chances during most of the 2nd half and were weak to overpass defence of the Rizespor which were determined to find goal. Trabzonspor today's performance will not be enough for next week game with Besiktas but again it will be different game with different motivation so its hard to use this game as reference for next week.
Rizespor meanwhile has provided strong and confident performance especially towards last minutes of the game and wanted to make scoreline to the 1:1 as it needs points. It does provide good defence but needs to improve with attacks.
Trabzonspor as it is known currently aims to create team to fight for league title next season and game against Besiktas will be good test and hence in upcoming week it would give all its focus to this crucial game.
Fenerbahce has managed to win at one of the toughest away games at Super League.
Even through it could be pretty hard to state that Fenerbahce has shown a very good performance against Karabukspor during Super League 26th week game it still has managed to get an important win against one of the toughest games of away games in season.
One of the possitive aspects of the game from Fenerbahce viewpoint has been a factor that the players does show their focussed and good performance and there is no issue with the effort but its hard to convert into performance due of lack of motivation and uncertainty of the name of the future head coach. One of the key players of the game has been goalkeepers of the game which has shown a top performance and certainly are main reasons for the game to end with 1:0 scoreline only, as both sides had numerous good chances. In Fenerbahce once again Jeremain Lens has shown best performance and tried to move his team forward, another aspect of the game has been of Robin van Persie scoring his 1st goal after 9 weeks at the Super League which could provide motivation boost for him also for rest of the 8 weeks left at the season. Karabukspor did show good performance with its goalkeeper Sahin and Seleznyov trying to create chances and did provide good performance but Fenerbahce was one which were lucky at the end.
Fenerbahce with this win and loss of the points from Basaksehirspor has meant that point difference between them and 2nd place has been dropped to 6 points and with 24 points at stake at this season, it would now have a realistic chance to get 2nd place at the league.
