What happened in Turkish football today? 17.04.2017

Besiktas would offer Gokhan Inler to Trabzonspor in return of Yusuf Erdogan

With transfer rumours staying as the most discussed topic due of last weekend break cause of constitutional referandum which took place in Turkey on 16th April, sports media has provided another rumour stating that Besiktas considers to transfer Trabzonspor player Yusuf Erdogan in return of offering Gokhan Inler.

As it is known, Gokhan Inler has joined Besiktas with lots of the expectations but he didnt recieve much of the playing time and even through could be seen as good substitute, it didnt use his capacity for the team during this season. Therefore, it could be seen normal that Trabzonspor might show interest towards Inler, but it is unlikely that the team which does new planning for upcoming season would consider to sell one of its main players for this success to Besiktas. As this blog states, in this matters it would be normal for Besiktas to provide such an offer but it is unlikely that Trabzonspor would show lots of the interests towards it. However, Trabzonspor could try to purchase him without exhange but due of transfer fee to which Besiktas might also respond positively.

Trabzonspor does need Yusuf Erdogan for next season but it would not say no for Gokhan Inler so we would see how this news would be developing in upcoming months especially when summer transfer window would be opened.

Bursaspor are interested to transfer Galatasaray player Sinan Gumus.

Another transfer rumour which has recieved some attention during today's sports media has been rumours that Bursaspor might be considered to transfer Galatasaray player Sinan Gumus.

During last week rumours, it was stated that Sinan Gumus quite rightly has been unhappy to be always in substitution at his team and does look forward to go to the club where he could recieve more playing time. With taking account that Bursaspor, if it does get good number of players, is capable to be team to fight for Europa League spots it could be option for Sinan Gumus to get playing time in weekly basis and also play at the team which does have good aims for whole seasons. Both sides would certainly win if this rumour would come into reality as Bursaspor would also get a good quality player at its squad.

It would been also very likely that Galatasaray would also look warm to make such transfer as would be able to reduce to player which seems not to get much playing time and also get an extra cash during duration of the FFP regulations.

Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has been praised by UEFA for reducing tension during game against Lyon.

It became clear that Belgian observer of the Europa League quarter-final 1st leg game between Lyon and Besiktas has been very impressed of actions by the Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes to get together with players, coaches and CEOs at the middle of field prior to kick off of the game.

As remembered, there was big fight between Besiktas and Olympique Lyon fans which led for number of French fans to enter to the field prior to kick-off. With tension to be very high and referees, coaches and CEOs trying to find solution to this issue, Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has suggested to make such an action which it needs to be stated has helped a lot as issue until 2nd goal of Lyon has not been repeated and it did go in calm manner as game progressed. It became clear that UEFA members who were present at the field has thanked sinceraly Gunes for such an action and has stated that such an action deserved to get fair-play award of the year by UEFA. Truly, this action has become one of the turning points of the game and Senol Gunes has recieved very fair response from UEFA afterwards.

It does look like UEFA at the end of the season would recieve lots of praise in the end of the season and very likely to get that fair-play award from UEFA and possibly FIFA.
