Fenerbahce has qualified to semi-final without having much issues.
Fenerbahce has managed to get to the semi-final stage of the Turkish Cup with 2nd leg game 3:0 win against Kayserispor which means that it has repeat scoreline of the 1st leg and has won this tie in very comfortable manner with an aggregate of 6:0.
During today's game, Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat has played with mainly its best squad and not including only some number of injures and also included checking readiness of Fenerbahce main goalkeeper Volkan Demirel during the game after he has recovered from injury. Fenerbahce has passed quarter-final stage of Turkish Cup without much issues and now woud look forward for difficult Basaksehirspor game at semifinal at the tournament where both sides want to win this year.
Kasimpasa gets to Turkish Cup semi-final due of advantage from 1st leg game.
Turkish Cup quarter-final game between Rizespor and Kasimpasa has been ended with 2:2 draw however due of Kasimpasa winning 1st leg game with 2:0 scoreline and hence used that advantage to get to the semi-final stage of the tournament.
It needs to be stated that Rizespor has come out to the game to show comeback for their loss after 1st leg game with providing an attacking football and making it clear that their have an eye for semi-final stage of Turkish Cup. However, despite of getting goal behind at the game, Kasimpasa was able to find draw with the help of Adem Buyuk who has played an important role for Istanbul side to be at the semi-final stage. The game as been mentioned has been shown by much more fighting spirit from Rizespor compare to 1st leg game but it wasnt enough from them. It was good news to see Leonard Kweuke to score a goal as he had lack of it during this season. Kasimpasa even through wasnt at its best has stayed focus during the game and now would wait for winners from Konyaspor and Sivasspor game.
Kasimpasa has joined other two teams from Istanbul, as Basaksehirspor and Fenerbahce has also been get to 2nd round of the competition and would now wait for its opponents from tomorrow's game.
Basaksehirspor has qualified to semi-final by beating Akhisar Belediyespor.
Basaksehirspor has become 1st team to get to the semi-final stage at the Turkish Cup and hence carrying on showing an impressive performance at both Super League and Turkish Cup with still having a chance to get both titles at the end of the season.
Basaksehirspor has been dominating game from most of the parts against Akhisar Belediyespor winning game with 2:0 scoreline as their opponents has decided to provide mainly defensive football against them. The only part however which can be discussed about is regarding of offside decision of Akhisar Belediyespor goal at 90+3' which could been argued has been disallowed goal however when looking at position a bit more closer it becomes visible that it was an offside and referee was correct. Akhisar Belediyespor head coach Okan Buruk did provide a strong opposition to the referee which led him to be send to the stands and being referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee. In the side of Basaksehirspor, club player Emmanuel Adebayor has recieved an injury however their are reports that his condition is pretty good.
Basaksehirspor has become one step closer to the final of the Turkish Cup but its not an easy task as it would play against Fenerbahce which is determined to win competition this season due of overall poor performance. But before that it has tough game against Galatasaray which is an important game for to get Champions League and league title this season.
