Basaksehirspor is getting closer to the Champions League spot.
Basaksehirspor has got an important win against Galatasaray during Super League 27th week game with comfortable 4:0 scoreline and had made itself more secure for Champions League spot and is 5 points behind leaders Besiktas. Galatasaray meanwhile has provided one of its worst performances during this season.
Galatasaray during the game didnt provide anything at fighting spirit and to some extend has come to the field not believing themselves that their can get a win today. During whole game Galatasaray didnt create any chances and shots to the Basaksehirspor which therefore led for game to be played as one sighted. Taking account that the game was very important for Galatasaray as it would closer to its opponent it is now 6 points behind Basaksehirspor which as Igor Tudor stated following the game has been much better compare to them. Galatasaray won against Adanaspor last week which recieved some praise has been misleading as it was playing against one of the weakest team at the league. Playing this time against 2nd placed team, it was not smart to provide same tactic. This game has shown mainly that Galatasaray has big issues which needs to be solved.
Meanwhile, Basaksehirspor has performed in belief that it can get Champions League spot especially taking account that the tournamnet song has been played at the end of the game. Basaksehirspor is team with an important target with still having good chance to get league title at the end of the season as it fights with Besiktas. Basaksehirspor is team which is confident and this is visible at their game. The star of the game meanwhile has been Emmanuel Adebayor with hat-trick.
Galatasaray needs to do lots of changes at the team while Basaksehirspor would be confidently going to the Champions League spot at the end of the season. The fight for league title seems to be most interesting fight right now even through Besiktas is very close to recieve it.
Fenerbahce doesnt seem to believe it can end league at 2nd place.
Despite of pretty poor performance by Fenerbahce during Super League 27th week game against Akhisar Belediyespor it still has used its opportunities and luck to get an important win for the fight for 2nd place spot and hence qualifying stage for Champions League for next season.
In normal circumstances, 3:1 scoreline following pretty compact Akhisar Belediyespor, even through of having poor season, would be considered as good game but unfortunately for Fenerbahce and their fans the scoreline doesnt represent much of how Fenerbahce performed yesteday. It did have control of game but it couldnt show an impressive fast paced football with lack of attacks during 1st goal and still has trouble at scoring games against tight defensive opponents. The 1st goal in fact did come with luck as it wasown goal from Akhisar Belediyespor player Lopez after Fenerbahce corner kick. Fenerbahce mathematically with 7 games left until end of season still has chance to end league at 2nd place but with this performance it would be very tough for them. In fact, that our blog just recently has praised Fenerbahce during its Turkish Cup performance does show it has given all its focus towards there, fighting to direct entry to Europa League and giving sign that psychologically doesnt believe at getting 2nd place at the league.
Fenerbahce following referandum break would meet with Galatasaray which could become an important game to structure aims and targets for both of the teams for last 6 games and both teams would certainly give their best.
Adanaspor head coach Levent Sahin has resigned from his post.
Adanaspor head coach Levent Sahin has announced his resignation after losing to fellow relegation zone team Rizespor with 3:1 scoreline, and with 7 points away from safe zone it has difficult task at staying at the league with 7 games left.
Levent Sahin when joined team in 1st weeks actually managed to show some improvement at his team and start winning points and giving some hope for administrative part and supporters that team would be able to stay at the top division but this has followed with losses at the weeks when its most crucial. Taking account that of course few wins at the bottom back - to-back with possible motivation brought from new coach could still kept at the league, head coach which would join team would have a difficult task. However, if team carries on performing like that it would easily become 1st team to be relagated from Super League at the end of the season.
Adanaspor unfortunately for them has never been able to perform at their best and 20 points following 27th weeks is worrying image and at the league where it looks like at least 36 points needs to be stayed, Adanaspor needs to do a lot in rest of the 7 weeks.
