Fenerbahce has ended group of death as leaders at the Europa League.

Fenerbahce has managed to get to the knockout round stage of the Europa League as the group leaders at the group which has been seen as the group of the death of this season competition. Fenerbahce has managed this aim by getting 1:0 scoreline against Feyenoord at the last week game with overhead goal by the Moussa Sow.

It needs to be reminded once again that Feyenoord needed to win the game with two goal difference at home ground so it was hard game for Fenerbahce and it has managed with playing in a confident way to get to get its set aim and to qualify for the next stage. Therefore it was pretty expectable for
Feyenoord to dominate the game from start to the end with trying to find attacks especially it has providing an attacking football for most part of the 2nd half. However, Fenerbahce has focussed mainly into the defensive football as it was identified to be an important  aspect at blog yesterday of the game where Feyenoord needs to win with 2 goal difference. It has achieved this in a good manner and despite of Dutch team playing an attacking football it has prevented them to find goals. It also needs to be stated that Moussa Sow goal on the 22nd minute has affected to the way Feyenoord would respond and hence allowed Fenerbahce to play  cautious but in same time confident football which came from scoreline.

Feyenoord as been mentioned was focussed to win the game with dominating game and scoring a goal. It did manage to dominate but didnt found goals which it needed as it couldnt overpass Fenerbahce defence and Volkan Demirel.

Fenerbahce has done a great achievement by ending as group leaders at the group which has been observed as Champions League level and would now await for its opponent at the last 32 during 12th December draw.

Osmanlispor has marked history by getting to knockout stages to Europa League as leaders from group.

Osmanlispor has made a history by beating Zurich during Europa League Group H 6th week game by winning them with 2:0 scoreline and has qualified to the 2nd round of the tournament in its 1st ever campaign at the tournament.

Osmanlispor during whole group stage and also during today's game has shown very competitive football providing an organised game and always showing that it wanted to win the game. It has managed to get its first task until 73th minute when the scoreline was 0:0 and hence it has achieved to keep its primary task of getting draw to get to the 2nd round. However, with the goals by Delarge on 73rd minute and Erdal Kilicaslan goal at the 89th minute has shown that it is aiming for a win and by winning against Zurich it has ended as group leaders at the group where it has also included tough teams like Villarreal and Steaua Bucharest. With following result Osmanlispor has become team which has got into knockout stages from start Europa League campaign back on July where it has played at the 2nd qualifying round. The strong belief and impressive support by Ankara fans has helped for team to make such an historical success at their debut try at European stages.
Zurich meanwhile has shown good football during this Europa League campaign showing to be a tough opponent and did in fact draw with Ankara side earlier at the competition. However, with such a tough group it didnt manage to get to the next stage but has shown impressive football.

Osmanlispor is now will be awaiting for 2nd round opponent on 12th December and will enjoy to mark such a historical mark on its European history at the Europa League so far.

Konyaspor need to learn lessons from this Europa League campaign.

Konyaspor has coming out to the Europa League Group L game against Gent with arleady knowing that it had eliminated with dissapointing performance of the team at this season. Gent has found goal by Koulibaly at the last minute which in other hand has managed to get 2nd place and get 2nd round ticket.

Konyaspor sole aim for this game was to get its first and only win at the last game of the Europa League but it didnt achieve that as it has conceded goal at the last minute of the Koulibaly. Konyaspor has provided pretty dissapointing performance at this season Europa League with only getting one draw during 6-game period. Konyspor head coach Aykut Kocaman during whole campaign has underlined that the aim is to get an experience and habit to play at the Europa League to the players. Surely, the players and Aykut Kocaman has got an important lesson from this campaign. One of the main problems of the Konyaspor has been providing too much respect to the opponent and hence it has solely aimed to defend rather than providing attacking football. If it played more brave football it could get better results at Europa League.

Gent meanwhile has managed to get 2nd place at the group where Shakhtar Donetsk has dominated with winning comfortably all of the games so far. Last minute of goal by Gent has helped them to carry on its European journey after new year.

Konyaspor would also need to focus at the Super League and once again fight for European spots and learn lesson and experiences from this 6-games at the group stages.
