Galatasaray was lucky to get a point against Osmanlispor.
Regardless of the cold weather and icy condition at the Osmanlispor stadium, both sides have managed to provide an exciting game between Osmanlispor and Galatasaray during Super League 15th week game has ended with 2:2 scoreline.
Osmanlispor has shown a very good game and was closer to get the win especially during 1st half of the game. Galatasaray was not able to respond to Osmanlispor tempo and also to the conditions of the field and has almost started game with 1:0 loss with very good attack by Pierre Webo of the moment on the 30th second goal but wasnt convered due of Fernando Muslera save. Galatasaray it needs to be stated has failed once again to provide a fighting spirit during the game and seems to have trouble at controlling and creating chances. As was mentioned the game has been played at high tempo but the tempo was dominated by the Osmanlispor which is worrying note for the Istanbul side. The 88th minute goal scored by Semih Kaya, 2 minutes after conceding a goal, has certainly saved 1 point which could be crucial for the title race at the end of season.
Osmanlispor as been stated has been deserved game much more and 2 goals scored by headers of Pierre Webo has led for the team to get an important win for them as it start raising its performance compare to start of the season. Ankara side has shown much better reaction at those weather conditions, even through it wasnt easy for them with high number of African players at squad.
If Galatasaray lost the game it would be 5 points behind leader of Basaksehirspor and also from Besiktas 3 points which is much better right now by gaining 1 point and hence Semih Kaya has helped them to be at least at the range of catching leaders.
Besiktas has lost its tempo which led to lose to Kasimpasa.
Besiktas has lost 3 important points during Super League 15th week game against Kasimpasa at the game which it has the worst performance of the season so far. It didnt manage to provide fast-tempo game which had brought team league title last season.
Even through Besiktas has lost its first game during this season decline of the performance by the Besiktas has been observed during last few weeks including games against Fenerbahce and Bursaspor. This factor has become certainly more visibly at game against Kasimpasa since we need to take into account that their opponents did play their usual football, to some extend similar to the one which their had provided against Fenerbahce and Galatasaray and where their have lost games. Without underestimating Kasimpasa it needs to be stated that Besiktas lost due of not providing their best football. Besiktas does show decline with its performance and it would have good chance to regain that motivation and confidence as it would meet with Boluspor on 20th December at the Turkish Cup 3rd week game if their get good confident win. Right now it is 3 points behind surprise leaders of Basaksehirspor.
Basaksehirspor doesnt aim to lose its leadership at league.
Basaksehirspor meanwhile doesnt look to have any intentions to lose games as it carries on its season without losing any games including winning all of the classical big teams in Turkey.
The road for league title is to win all of its main opponents or at worst not losing to them. So far it has played with all 3 big 4 teams, with winning 3 of them and drawing against Besiktas and hence getting 10 points. Trabzonspor it needs to be stated was among most tough games for the team since Trabzonspor always show great confidence during important games so it was never easy game for Basaksehirspor. To some extend, there was expectation of at least draw since Basaksehirspor did draw last 3 games which provided an image that it will show decline on its performance in upcoming weeks. But great goal by Edin Visca has led Basaksehirspor to get an important 3 points.
It did lose 6 points due of draws during last 3 weeks games but with other games going into results as their wished it is now once again leaders with 3 cushion difference and would start next year as leaders of the league for certain now.
