Both Fenerbahce and Besiktas has shown main focus to the midfield in the game against each other.
Turkish Super League game between Besiktas and Fenerbahce has ended with 0:0 scoreline where it did look to be the game that Besiktas was playing for a draw as it was mainly focussed for not conceding a goal rather than creating ones while Fenerbahce had played more attacking football but could not find good chances to shoot during the game.
Fenerbahce it needs to be stated has shown more attacking football compare to Besiktas, especially during 1st half with some extend fulfilling expectation which were analysed prior to the game and has created some chances, even through none were on target during the game. It needs to be stated to some extend that Fenerbahce also carried on providing good and attacking football at the 2nd half with controlling ball but couldnt find chances with Besiktas showing big focus into the defence. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce did play similar way as it did against Galatasaray with focussing into defence and trying to create chances at the front but it has achieved much less. The game it needs to be stated was mainly focussed into the midfield area as both teams were aware that conceding goal could provide negative effect for the standings, as loss to the Fenerbahce could lead to the 7 points difference from Besiktas.
Meanwhile, this scoreline has been bigger advantage to the Besiktas as it stays at the 2nd place with keeping same point difference both from Fenerbahce, which is 4 points and 2 points behind Basaksehirspor who has drawn with Antalyaspor earlier on the day. Besiktas did still show some degrease of the attacking football which was observed at the recent games. In previous games, Besiktas did show poor performance during 1st half of the games but has improved during 2nd half.
But at this game Besiktas had difficulty at creating any chances against Fenerbahce, and in fact didnt create single shot to the Besiktas. It needs to be stated meanwhile that Besiktas did show fight during the game, and was providing careful game at the defence and midfielding football which it did succeed to some extend but as been mentioned it had difficulty to create chances.
This derby is among games which could be difficult to analyse due of lack of any serious attacks and its hard to identify key players of the game. Besiktas of course would see this win as more advantage due of fact that it still has 4 point advantage over Fenerbahce and also playing difficult game at away game.
Basaksehirspor had experienced unexpected draw against Antalyaspor.
Leaders of the Super League, Basaksehirspor has experienced unexperienced loss of two points at the 13th week game against Antalyaspor as it was coming to the game against team who doesnt have great season and was expected to win the game as both teams who are right behind them are meeting against each other in same week.
Basaksehirspor does need to be stated didnt start game in a great way as it had trouble at creating chances during the first half while Antalyaspor has shown pretty brave game with the main player of the squad Samuel Eto'o taking control of the game, Basaksehirspor didnt manage to stop him as he has managed to score two goals during the game. Another interesting aspect of the game was two red cards by both teams which has characterised to some extend how exciting this game was and fighting spirit of the both teams. Basaksehirspor after 1:0 did manage in fact to show comeback during the game as it had got leadership with 2:1 scoreline with Mossoro goal on 49th minute. Basaksehirspor has recieved its red card later on which made game into both sides with last minutes of the game playing at attacking football as both teams wanted to win game, with Samuel Eto'o making scoreline 2:2 at 65th minute.
Antalyaspor meanwhile has shown great character and reacting to the game pretty well since its need urgently some points and not being scared too much of playing against leaders has shown good football with fighting spirit, and it will need to carry on like that for upcoming games.
Basaksehirspor did lose two points but this loss it needs to be stated didnt affect too much in sense of the table as Besiktas and Fenerbahce has drawn game against each other.
Galatasaray has great chance to turn today's results to its favour.
Prior to the Super League 13th week game, Galatasaray has got an extra motivation against Kasimpasa has become even more important for them as all three teams against them has lost 2 points and it would allow them chance to get closer to the Basaksehirspor with 5 points difference.
However, with this results coming from today's games it needs to be stated that following result could also turn as disadvantage for the Galatasaray as it would provide some pressure. With taking account that Galatasaray doesnt provide good football generally and it is unclear if it be able to carry top football in same way as id did during Bursaspor could surely make things nervous.
