Trabzonspor has got an important win which will boost their motivation.
Trabzonspor has got an important win against Kayserispor during Super League 13th week game following pretty poor results it has recieved in past few weeks and with today's win put it further away from the danger zone.
As Trabzonspor performance was not going pretty well, it was lucky to get an opponent like Kayserispor who also are having not very good performance so far at this season. Without putting Kayserispor team in disrespected manner, it was side which could be won and help Trabzonspor to get motivation which it needed urgently now. In fact, compare to previous game, statistically Trabzonspor didnt show superiority as it had possession and shots on target less than its opponent. However, the single goal which was scored by Matus Bero could help team to get much more motivation and confidence for upcoming weeks. Despite of this facts, Trabzonspor did show some good chances during the game and could won game with more confident result still.
Kayserispor meanwhile it needs to be noted did show an attacking football and creating number of the chances but it was lacking with last touches. This performance would still allow team to get better results in upcoming games and possibly go up at the table.
Trabzonspor would meet next week with Adanaspor which so far is showing worst performance at the league and hence allow them to carry on getting points and at least regain motivation at least until midseason break.
Galatasaray has got an important win despite of poor performance.
Certainly the main winner of the Super League 13th week has been Galatasaray as it has used its opportunity to get closer to the top as it has won Kasimpasa with 2:1 scoreline. At the week where all of the teams above them has lost two points Galatasaray has recieved great performance.
Even through it has won game which it needed to win at the crucial circumstance, the way Galatasaray has been played is not very satisfactorily. In fact, Galatasaray administrator Nasuhi Sezgin has shown has shown his dissapointment with performance by stating this win will not bring them league title at the end of the season. Interesting factor about team performance, that whenever it got leadership during the game it has slowed down and to some extend has given control of the game to Kasimpasa, which is very risky thing especially when playing against strong sides. Once again Fernando Muslera has played an important role by saving penalty from Kasimpasa player Adem Buyuk poor penalty but as been stated beforehand Muslera will not be able to always save the team.
At standings Galatasaray has got itself at the good position and likely to get to the midweek break in 3 weeks time with still being at top of the league battle but it does need to improve its play as it might recieve lots of issues in future games.
Besiktas will try to get historical result at snowy Kiev.
Besiktas will be coming out to most important game at its history as the win against Dinamo Kiev during Champions League Group B 6th week game could lead them to qualify to the last 16 stage of the tournament with a possibility of ending the group as leaders.
To achieve that it would play against weakest link at the group Dinamo Kiev even through as the opponents it can still provide some tough time to the Besiktas. Another difficult opponent could be nature, as there expectation for snow to take place in Kiev during the game with forecasted -10 degrees weather. Besiktas would have tough time at the game but as long as their stay focussed with set task it should be able to achieve historical win for a team regardless how much Dinamo Kiev will aim to end group stage with the win. Stating that Besiktas did draw during 3 times during last 4 games and getting draw could them not to get next stage, as it is uncertain that Napoli will win Benfica. However, still Besiktas comes out as favourite as motivation for Besiktas is much higher as Dinamo plays for formality.
Besiktas just needs to stay focussed and play football which it has shown during this group stage campaign and that would be enough to get historical win for Besiktas. However, as stated weather could provide big barrier for Besiktas to play good football.
