What happened today at the Turkish football? 02.01.2016

Ryan Donk transfer for Galatasaray could make team stronger.

As we have entered to the mid-season break and also start of January transfer window it was undoubetly that Galatasaray was a team which needed most of transfers to become stronger during 2nd half of the season. Galatasaray has arleady agreed with Kasimpasa Dutch player Ryan Donk which should provide additional strength to the team.

Playing at the Kasimpasa, Ryan Donk has arleady shown to the Turkish viewers and international viewers who are interested with Turkish Super League into what does Donk can achieve while playing in Turkey. For Galatasaray signing Donk could also reduce factor of him getting used to the Turkish league as he had played for Kasimpasa since 2013 and being there as a key player he arleady familiar with Super League. Moving to the club which has higher ambitions and aims at the Europa League right now will also improve performance of Ryan Donk as he will have different and more motivation.

It could be argued Ryan Donk quality as player are not much different from Galatasaray squad but he might provide some motivation which he would have and move it to other players at squad. It could be argued that Galatasaray will make great transfer taking account also that its mid-season transfer.

Mircea Lucescu if appointed can make Trabzonspor one of the strongest teams once again.

Trabzonspor interest into signing Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Mircea Lucescu is still taking place in an active manner and with Lucescu telling club that he needs to think about the offer until 10th January does provide signs that Lucescu is considering the possibility to move the club.

Mircea Lucescu name has been mentioned at Turkish media each time when big 4 teams are looking for head coaches, as previously he brought championships with Besiktas and Galatasaray. But this time determination of Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta and signs of interest by Lucescu himself does make possibility quite high.

If Trabzonspor does manage to appoint Mircea Lucescu as club head coach it will be big advantage for them as he does manage, especially Turkish club to make them stronger and more confident in the performance and hence brings them winning games. Of course title could be forgotten by Trabzonspor this season but next season if Lucescu will be head coach it still can become team which will be competing for title.

Fenerbahce should buy Lazar Markovic next summer.

There are active talks if Fenerbahce should try to sign Liverpool loan player Lazar Markovic for the next season. Markovic has played so far an important role at the midfield/attacking area by starting very important attacks for his team. His fast speed gives strong advantage against his opponents and hence start good dangerous attacks.

In clubs like Fenerbahce, it is important to have a player which will be able to start very dangerous attacks through midfield area. By doing that it is also important for opponent players to be ready for either cross or pass to penalty area from him, which became seen especially at the last week. With important moves and passes from Lazar Markovic, Fenerbahce will be able to score lots of goals in 2nd half of the season.

There are talks that Markovic is thinking to stay at Fenerbahce, but current head coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp does make it clear that he wants him back at the team and sees him as important player. Role of Fenerbahce and Markovic himself is crucial next summer if their want to make Jurgen Klopp become aware that Markovic will be happier at Fenerbahce next season.
