What happened in Turkish football today? 06.01.2016

Hakan Kutlu chooses his pride and resigns from Mersin IdmanYurdu after one day at the post.

The scandals with the head coaches at mediocre teams at the Turkish Super League has been the most talked event at the Turkish media since start of the season. Latest scandal has been resignation of the Mersin Idman Yurdu head coach Hakan Kutlu after he has been appointed yesterday after sacking of another head coach Bulent Korkmaz in scandalous manner.

The reason of Hakan Kutlu resignation was given of Mersin Idman Yurdu Ali Kahramanli statement that he doesnt support for Kutlu to become head coach of the team. Kahramanli did state that he was not informed of the sacking of club ex-head coach Bulent Korkmaz and hence does not support of appointment of new head coach. As would be expected, the following statement was not treated by Hakan Kutlu in possitive manner which hence let him to resign.

Hakan Kutlu did state that if Ali Kahramanli will not become CEO after 11th January elections at the club he might consider to return to the job. The following crises just shows how unstable is Turkish football in general and coaches are at their teams, even after being appointed after one day their job is not safe.

Stuttgart transfer of Kevin Grosskreutz has made huge favor to Galatasaray

Apart of resignation of Hamza Hamzaoglu, Galatasaray's 2015-16 season was so far been remembered with problems it had with Kevin Grosskreutz: first with transfer issues and later with him wanting to leave club due of home sickness. This chapter of Galatasaray does seem to be closed as it looks as Stuttgart has signed player while having training camp in Antalya.

By signign Grosskreutz, Stuttgart undoubtedly has lifted huge weight from shoulder of Galatasaray as it was willing to sell him as soon as possible and especially to Germany as Grosskreutz insists to play in Germany due of family. It is important to note that Grosskreutz was unwanted man by most of the club including German ones, so Stuttgart decision to bring him will let German club to become stronger and solve this long term issue of player who doesnt want to play in Turkey.

In return of transfer, Galatasaray has recieved just above 2 million euro which also would be helpful to team which is currently suffering economically. Galatasaray seems to be at winning side at this crucial transfer.

Ex- Bursaspor player Pablo Batalla wants to return to his old club.

Bursaspor ex-player Pablo Batalla, who has moved to Chinese club Beijing Guoan in 2013 for argument with then Bursaspor head coach Christoph Daum has told to the club that he is willing to return to a club as long Beinjing Guoan as it agrees with transfer offers with his current team.

Pablo Batalla was one of the key players at the Bursaspor during his stay at the club and since he left the club has performing worser and hence could be seen as one of the issues poor performance of the club. The following news also manages to show that scandal back of 2013 was really affected with Christoph Daum and Batalla rather with the club it could be seen for such a will for Batalla to return. Right now club will need to convince Beijing Guoan to sell him back which expects to be not hard issue to solve.

Return of Pablo Batalla to his old club will be huge advantage to the club who are struggling past few seasons and also be good opportunity for Batalla himself.
