What happened in Turkish football today? 03.01.2016

Kevin Grosskreutz move to Schalke reduces his homesickness issue.

Today it became clear that German club Stuttgart has done medical check-up of Galatasaray trouble player Kevin Grosskreutz who have stated that he will be leaving club without playing any games for hıs team at official games. Stuttgart check-up news could be a good news for both Kevin Grosskreutz and Galatasaray.

Few weeks ago, Kevin Grosskreutz has told to Galatasaray head coach Mustafa Denizli that he is thinking to leave the club due of being far from his family and having home sickness. After termination of contract not a single club in Germany has high interest at transfering him until today Schalke had health check-up. Of course, this still does not mean that Schalke will sign him but it has shown big interest by German club.

Kevin Grosskreutz with problems with transfers back in September has become a problematic player for a team and his home sickness issue carried on being so. We are in Turkey has heard lots of times name of Kevin Grosskreutz but didnt experience seeing him playing. Moving back to Germany would mean to him that he will get rid of home sickness issue.

Bulent Korkmaz sacking does not reduce amount of effort and determination he has given to Mersin IdmanYurdu.

Mersin IdmanYurdu head coach Bulent Korkmaz has joined the list of head coaches who are been sacked from his position so far at this season. The sacking of Korkmaz was a surprise taking account that Bulent Korkmaz has stated yesterday that he expecting to be stay at the club for long time to the media.

Issues at the club is not totally fault of Bulent Korkmaz himself as club is going through big financial issues and did not pay its player wages for many weeks that Mersin Idman Yurdu players were thinking not to go on field at game against Bursaspor. Taking this into account, it was specifically difficult for Korkmaz to keep his team into high motivation and let them succeed in this condition.

Therefore, sacking of Korkmaz was unfair assuming with limit of things he can do.
Club administrators need to find solution on how to pay wages to the players rather than blaming into technical stuff. However, once again team administrators has shown that it is focussed into results rather than managing the club.

Muhammet Demir has asked for high salary from Trabzonspor

There is big interest regarding to what club would Gaziantepspor player Muhammet Demir move to as there are talks that both Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce are interested with him. Even through Fenerbahce has made statement that the club is not interested with Demir it is known that clubs made those statements purposefully to run behind-the-scenes negotiations.

However, it does look like Trabzonspor are providing more interest with Muhammet Demir as it had arleady made one negotiations which however has happened in an unsuccessful manner. It became clear that following agreement didnt take place as Muhammet Demir has asked for high salary from Trabzonspor. As most of the club, including Trabzonspor are looking for cheap transfers in this transfer window, it was normal for Trabzonspor not to accept this condition.

Muhammet Demir is one of the best players at Gaziantepspor and has high experience at the Turkish league and its normal for big clubs to give interest, and it is one of the questions of this January transfer window if Demir, Gaziantepspor and Trabzonspor will be able to agree on transfer.
