Besiktas becomes first big "4" team to lose at the Turkish Cup.
Besiktas has become first team to lose the game at this year Turkish Cup group stages games among big "4" teams with losing to Kardemir Karabukspor with 2:0 scoreline without providing any quality of football which could be explained due of weaker squad and being qualified arleady to next stage.
Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes by putting weaker team, even through was aiming to give playing time of players who doesnt get it much was also risking of recieving bad result at the end of the game. Kardemir Karabukspor had a control of the game during the game with Besiktas playing much below its level. Good news for Karabukspor with scoring two goals that it had ended game without conceding with one of the most in-form of teams in Turkey and also managing obtaining first three points at the group stage of Turkish Cup. Besiktas is aware that it performed very badly during the game and surely Senol Gunes would tell his squad today tell important messages and showing that he is unhappy with their performances. In addition, those players didnt use an opportunity to show themselves to the Besiktas technical staff and supporters.
Besiktas right now needs to forget about this loss and give all its focus to crucial game on Sunday against Trabzonspor as it will return to the league and restart its fight for league title. Since the most starting 11 players were not present at the squad it might not affect to the morale of the players but this result might affect psychologically.
Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabukspor had very poor performance at the group stage and this 3 points should make them satisfied to some extend and possible aim to get another win at the last game of the Turkish Cup group stage against 1461 Trabzon.
Trabzonspor carries its 100% record at Turkish Cup
Trabzonspor has continued its 100% record at the Turkish Cup in the group stage against Nazilli
Belediyespor with 1:0 scoreline. As been stated earlier, club CEO Muharrem Usta club's main focus of this season is being winning Turkish Cup and to keep momentum going at the tournament the team carries on its winning streak at the tournament.
As most of the big "4" teams tactics of this week, Trabzonspor also has started the game with its youth players who had shown very good performance and the signs that their want to win following game. The players had controlled game during first half and has provided some attacks. The most memorable moment of the whole game meanwhile was the decision of penalty to Nazilli Belediyespor which was later changed to the free-kick and has ended with no goal. The winning goal has come at the 2nd half, at the 52nd minute by Yusuf Erdogan who has done nice shot from outside of penalty area at the hard shot which was difficult to be saved by Nazilli Belediyespor goalkeeper.
Trabzonspor carries on winning at the group stage showing to everyone that it serious to take Turkish Cup and hence would aim to win the competition at the end of the season. Following result, should also affect to the Super League performance which so far would be described as below expected, but this win and general performance at Turkish Cup should provide motivation and morale prior to game against Besiktas.
Coming to Nazilli Belediyespor its now need to focus at the last game of the group stage and try to end competition at the positive mark and as a team should get some experience from this competition with playing high number of games.
Fenerbahce would aim to carry on winning momentum against Tuzlaspor.
Fenerbahce will carry its impressive performance at the Turkish Cup with the game against Tuzlaspor tomorrow evening. As with all of the big "4" teams it has also has qualified to the play-off stage prior to this week and hence would play calmer with reserves squad game against the side which would like to prove itself to the Turkish public.
Once again Fenerbahce will need to get positive result from tomorrow's game to keep its morale and momentum at the Super League also and with the higher performance which looks good to the eyes at the 2016 year, Tuzlaspor might have a hard game. Fenerbahce very likely to play similar attacking football as it did against Giresunspor and to some extend at the game against Eskisehirspor. As been mentioned above, Fenerbahce would very likely to use rotation at the game but it doesnt mean that it won't play attacking football and try its best to get high number of goals especially playing at home. Surely it will use winning momentum to its advantage as it did during this season.
Coming to Tuzlaspor, as having opportunity it might try to find goals and possible aim for surprise result against team who doesnt have any target left at the Turkish Cup prior to play-off. Tuzlaspor has chance to get play-off spot themselves so their might play an attacking and brave football against Fenerbahce.
