Fenerbahce focus into its style of football is still present after break
Fenerbahce has started this year with an important victory against Giresunspor with 2:0 scoreline despite of difficulties it had recieved from the field. Decision of Vitor Pereira to play with its best players was mainly decided not due of suddent focus to the Turkish Cup but more to make sure that its main players we will feel ready for the start of the Super League in next week.
Fenerbahce has shown with yesterday game that everyone is still focussed at providing best results while competing at three different competitions after winter break. Players has shown right attitude towards following 2 week break and has shown that physically players are still focused into its performance. Fenerbahce player Fernandao with a goal scored at the end of the game has shown that as a player he is hungry for goals and tries his best to bring successful results which could bring titles to the Fenerbahce at the end of this season.
Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira has stated after game that next game against Giresunspor of Turkish Cup on Wednesday, he would play with substitutes and reserves. With this it will be also possible to see into the gap which is present between reserves and main squad, as Giresunspor very likely to play with same squad at midweek.
Besiktas provided loss of focus in game against Trabzon 1461
Even through Besiktas did stated that Turkish Cup is not their priority this season and its main aim is to get Turkish league title, the poor performance and 1:1 draw against Trabzon 1461 at the game yesterday should been seen as unexpected and the players showed lack of wanting to play attacking football sometimes even allowing Trabzon to control the ball.
In comparison to Fenerbahce it seemed that either this break has led them for loss of concentration or maybe the fact of the opponent strength has made players to play in 2nd gear. Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has criticised its players admitting their were far from their best football. However, it is hard to know if it was selected words to the media or he was actually unhappy with performance.
Super League and Turkish Cup should be analysed differently, however first game like that of 2nd half of season could affect to the Super League performance of Besiktas next week, but again there are different motivations and focus, so maybe it wont do any damage.
Galatasaray will aim to continue its winning streak
After winning Karsiyaka with 3:1 scoreline, Galatasaray would once again play against its Izmir opponents at 4th week game at the Turkish Cup, this time in Izmir. Galatasaray undoutedly will go with high motivation and self-belief and try its best to carry on its winning streak especially before restart of the Super League in this weekend.
There is high chance that Ryan Donk would once again start at starting 11 to make sure that player is totally glued into system of team prior to restart of the Super League. It does look that Galatasaray will mainly focus into having winning streak right now not caring much if its cup or league, so Karsiyaka could have difficult task waiting for them.
For Karsiyaka strongest aid and weapon will be team fans, who are very fanatical and will not leave them behind despite of being 1st league team. In fact, it has one of the best fans in whole Turkey and Karsiyaka could use this issue as its own advantage in tomorrow game.
