Galatasaray signs Ryan Donk for 2.5 years.
The first day of the transfers has started with long-awaited expected transfer of Kasimpasa player Ryan Donk to the Galatasaray, who have signed 2.5 year contract with Istanbul giants. The following transfer should solve an important issue at the midfield which team had since start of the season and be a great solution for absence of Felipe Melo.
Since Felipe Melo has left club to Inter Milan, Galatasaray had trouble at solving midfield issue which also became one of the main reasons of poor performance of the team at the Super League and Champions League. However, the strong performance at Kasimpasa by Ryan Donk has provided strong signs that he could be good alternative to Melo. Having also a team fellow Dutchman at the club, Wesley Snejder, he wont have difficulty at adapting to team and being in Super League for few years will not raise issues to being used to the league.
It seems that everyone who has followed this transfer does agree that following move will make Galatasaray stronger as a team compare to 1st half of season but time as usual would show if Donk will help team to win more games.
Altinordu gives priority to Besiktas for Caglar Soyuncu in summer.
Besiktas is showing a big interest at signing 1st league team Altinordu player Caglar Soyuncu and is willing to pay 6 million euro according to Turkish media. However, Altinordu management states that it doesnt sell play at mid-season break of players who are at club in first season but would put Besiktas as priority with Soyuncu in summer transfer window.
Caglar Soyuncu is one of the best names at 1st league and youngsters with bright future and also been called to Turkish national team by its head coach Fatih Terim for the friendly game against Greece. It is known that Soyuncu has raised interested from number of European clubs also.
Right now Besiktas attempts all its best to sign him in this window but Altinordu doesnt seem to go for compromise but there is high chance that Besiktas will purchase future star of Turkish football in summer latest.
UEFA's financial fair play regulations will make teams to do modest transfers this January.
With the Financial Fair Play by UEFA has negatively affected to high number of clubs at Super League it is reasonable for this January transfer window to expect low number of transfers to be made with low prices. It became clear yesterday that Fenerbahce does not plan to spend more than 10 million euro to purchase one single player in this month.
One of the main reasons why Besiktas has trouble at ending transfer of Dnipro players Dennis Boyko and Douglas is negotiations regarding of transfer fee. Even through both players are known to be agreed for low salary, Ukrainian club insists for high fee for both players.
Coming to Galatasaray, it has managed to transfer Kasimpasa player Ryan Donk with modest price of 2.5 million euro and it needs to do more transfers in upcoming days however being suffered most by FFP it will have trouble to achieve good transfers if any in this window.
