What happened in Turkish football today? 05/09/2020

Turkey needs to treat game seriously if wants to beat Serbia.

Following pretty dissapointing performance during Nations League League B Group 3 game against Hungary, Turkey would be expected to provide much more concentrated and focussed game during 2nd week game Serbia.

It needs to be reminded that in the competition where only leaders would have right to go 1 step above and also get alternative route to World Cup 2022, it is been dissapointing to lose to leaders of the group would provide some issues but still has chance as it is 1st game in competition. However, Turkey needs to get to high concentration and treat this game much more serious, as we have seen on previous Nations League on 1st games that sides does take this game serious get good result while ones who treat as friendlies lose point. Hence, it would be crucial in what mindset Turkey would be coming out. Meanwhile, Serbia which also sees as contenders for top position did get 3:1 loss to Russia and would see this game as opportunity to turnaround so it is expected to give some tough time to Turkey for sure.

One of the reasons for Turkey to lose 1st game was lack of seriousness to game and its need to solve that on this game for sure to get win.

Fenerbahce would sell items of other clubs in its store.

Fenerbahce has made important decision to allow to sell products of its fellow Super League sides apart of Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray to help with finances issues which all clubs are going through due of Covid19.

This move is been focussed as sign of goodwill which needs to be done among clubs with signs of supporting each other and so far has been send as suggestion as all clubs needs to approve this decision and obviously send their items to Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce on other hand quite expectingly announced that it would not get any gains from sales of other clubs and would send all gains to clubs in question. This is without very pleasant campaign from Fenerbahce and would be expected to be supported by other clubs as common fight against economical isses which existed but became worser due of Covid.

It is expected that clubs would be supporting this campaign in short notice for sure.

Fenerbahce interested to loan Nikola Kalinic.

Staying with Fenerbahce, it is reported that club are close to make transfer deal with Atletico Madrid player Nicola Kalinic as loan deal.

With Besiktas having trouble of making deal with same player for 8 million euro it is reported that Fenerbahce did provide offer as 10 million euro and are getting close to make final loan deal between sides within week even through this is for now is being rumour and no official statements been made. However, if those rumours would turn out to be true this would be without doubt be very important transfer for Fenerbahce and be another very important deal for them without doubt. Of course, it is important here to know how willing is Kalinic with joining Fenerbahce this summer.

As always, we would follow this news and report as soon with any significant developments on our accounts.
