Besiktas has been more ready to game compare to Trabzonspor.
Besiktas has got unexpectedly confident win against last season runners-up Trabzonspor during opening week with 3:1 scoreline providing much more better game making it clear that they wanted to win game.
With Besiktas providing pretty poor performance during Champions League qualifier against PAOK and having lack of strong attacker prior to this game, even through there were some expectations that Besiktas could win this game, it was certainly not expected by anyone to be done in such confident manner. In addition for Sergen Yalcin being in isolation due of getting positive test for Covid19 was expected to be effecting to performance of the side against side which is expected to be among they direct opponents for title, as in every season. In all fairness, it is hard to state that Besiktas has shown very fast tempo but compare to Trabzonspor they were much more focussed into this game which led them to look for high number of the chances especially during 2nd half even through 2nd yellow card of opponent did make their task much more easier to achieve. It needs to be noted meanwhile that Wellinton and N'Sakala did provide improvement compare to PAOK game.
On other hand, it needs to be noted that Trabzonspor did start this game without key players as it ended contracts to Jose Sosa and Filip Novak and also uncertainty about Alexandr Sorloth who didnt yet arrive to Trabzon and looks to be moving to RB Leipzig in short notice even through that issue is staying unclear. Therefore, with only coming out more or less only with Nwakaeme who kept this team at title race during last season, it did provide poor performance of side without providing too much pressure to Besiktas with creating high amount of the chances as game was progressing. Despite of all this absences, Trabzonspor still provided ineffective performance against Besiktas. Possibly one of the main and maybe only advantage for Trabzonspor is to able to recognise weaknesses which it has as it played against its direct opponent and be able to find solutions for this problems for upcoming games with chance to turn upcoming weeks to its own advantage.
In overall, it does look like that both sides as tends to be cases on 1st games of new season, both sides are not fully ready for this season but Besiktas compare to Trabzonspor has been prepared physically and mentally to this game much better.
Galatasaray provided good performance against Gaziantep.
Galatasaray has started its Turkish Super League 2020/21 season with comfortable win against Gaziantep with 3:1 and providing full dominance of the game even through it needs to be noted that opponent didnt provide too much pressure during game.
With poor performance of most part during previous season, it was very important to start its new season with good performance and confident win and with noting that Gaziantep apart of short period during start of 2nd half did led them to get this win with most of the players on the field providing very strong and optimistic attitude which led them to get control of the game during whole game. It needs to be noted that new signings Omar Elabdellouiu and Emre Kilinc especially showed strong performance and looked like they played in this club providing very effective game with creating chances. Without doubt, Younes Belhanda who tends to be criticised by club did provide willingfull performance and it needs to be noted that it gained important motivation for Europa League game against Neftchio 17th September and gained strong confidence for rest of the season.
Without doubt Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim would be feeling satisfied with his team performance and players with everyone providing view that they highly concentrated for this season.
Konyaspor has appointed Ismail Kartal next day after Bulent Korkmaz has resigned surprisingly.
Following surprising resignation by Konyaspor ex-coach Bulent Korkmaz due of misunderstanding regarding forward transfer, club has announced that club has made deal with Ismail Kartal.
Even through Korkmaz has resigned in pretty bad period of time with 1-week prior to Konyaspor playing its opening game, since side is having bye during this week it still managed to make deal with Kartal who didnt have any clubs and very likely was looking for club in this period. It needs to be noted that Ismail Kartal does have good experience with Super League clubs getting some good results so it could be turning good appointment for side which does fight for mid-places in such long seasons. Therefore, it needs to be noted that Konyaspor did act pretty fast after this highly unexpected and suprising resignation from Bulent Korkmaz.
Ismail Kartal would have only 1 week to get familiar with his side so therefore it would be expected that this week would be going pretty intense.
