What happened in Turkish football today? 03/09/2020

Turkey didnt provide full concentration to Hungary game.

Turkish National Team have started its Nations League League B Group 3 game against Hungary with losing it with 1:0 scoreline with providing very poor performance and could have lost in all fairness with more worser scoreline.

All of the aspects which has led for Turkey to get into Euro 2020 proper tournament has been observed to be missing as team has failed to provide any strong defensive and attacking positions which led for Hungary without doubt to get full control of the game. It needs to be noted that especially Turkey defence did fail to provide organised defence against Szobozslai who is being strongest player but rather then to be providing specific defensive performance it has led them to be creating high amount of the chances. Coming to the attack it also didnt provide any effective position with only position of Burak Yilmaz which could be seen as best position but even in that position Yilmaz didnt get into position at fast tempo which led him to lose advantage and providing that goal which could be getting into dangerous position. Therefore, Turkey did provide very poor performance and didnt provide any organisational game which in return turned into hand for Hungary without doubt.

Compare to Turkey, Hungary did provide much more concentration with controlling much better and also creating and did get with high level positions during goal which included 2 posts which it managed it to convert it would be getting much more better scoreline. Without doubt, Szobozslai showed his quality in such game with getting great free-kick goal and showed effective game in overall.

Turkish National Team without doubt did provide very good performance on its 1st international game on 2020 and without doubt would need to identify reasons why it showed such poor game and need to find ways to improve its game against Serbia on 6th September.

Fans will not be allowed to games until 2021.

TFF has announced that Super League 1st half games would be played without supporters following suggestion from Covid 19 science committee led by health minister Fahrettin Koca due of rising cases of virus in Turkey in recent period of time.

As would be remembered, TFF did make announcement that 30% capacity of stadium would be filled with supporters since 1st October which is been more or less decision to provide some financial calmness to clubs rather situation with Covid19 which does provide some worries. It needs to be mentioned that that even through TFF when made announcement of filling stadiums from October, number of cases were not as high as now but did go upwards which did show arleady worrying move. Therefore, once again TFF did fail to read situation of Covid19 but still decided to make decision which could affect not only Covid19 situation at football but whole country. As remembered, it was aiming to continue league on March and having fans towards end of last season, but thanks to government and science committee prevented to put society into danger.

Its hard to predict how virus would be spreading but there are serious signs that sadly would get worser on autumn and sports community needs to make decision but when it has trouble to make them or makes wrong ones, upper bodies would make for them.

Alanyaspor loans Babacar for 1.5 years

Alanyaspor has loaned Sassuolo player Khocar Babacar for 1.5 years with option of transfer making it without doubt most eye-catching transfer of today among Turkish clubs.

It does look like mediocre sides during this summer transfer window are more managing to get names which big 4 are aiming for, as Besiktas did show interest with Babacar for some for now. It needs to be noted and been mentioned before hand that with Alanyaspor losing some key players who brought some great result on previous season and also being at Europa League qualifiers did mean it needs to find good replacement for them and one of them without dobt is being Babacar who is in level to provide strong performance in Super League and provide some crucial performance with Alanyaspor so it is being strong and effective transfer for them for sure.

Alanyaspor did get important player who would strength their side for next season and provide memorable performance.
