What happened in Turkish football today? 23/09/2020

Besiktas needs to show strong attacking game against Rio Ave.

Besiktas is going to start its Europa League campaign after losing to PAOK at Champions League 2nd qualifier against Portuguese side Rio Ave at 3rd qualifying in one game at Istanbul hoping to provide much more better performance compare to Antalyaspor.

Compare to other two sides, who would be playing tomorrow, Besiktas has provided weakest start of the season as it loss 2 games and won until now with especially some issues being present at the attacking, part which aims to solve until game but it does look like it would be missing having this issue. Even through not much is known about Rio Ave and it does have pretty limited experience in the Europe, it is from league which is being among most competitive leagues and could provide some issues during game which would mean that side would need to be careful and aiming for strong performance in all aspects and use its opportunities which it gets into attacks effectively issue which it lacked during last league game without doubt.

It is difficult game to see clear favourite of the side but unfortunately for Besiktas without having strong attacker could provide some issues in the front for sure.

Galatasaray are favourites despite coming with 2nd squad

Galatasaray would be expecting to be coming with rotational squad during Europa League 3rd qualifier against Hajduk Split but this might not provide much issue with performance as whole side seems to be at good condition.

Due of most important derby game in Turkey on 27th September and also Basaksehirspor game on 20th September, Galatasaray highly expected to be coming with close to 2nd squad not of reducing importance of game and seeing its opponent weak but due of keeping players condition especially in the start of the season. This same squad did provide good performance against Neftci Baku which it won last week with 3:1 scoreline so this does provide some optimism for side. To all respect to Neftci, Hajduk Split is being stronger side so it could provide some issues to Galatasaray but still this form, confidence of Turkish side does put them into strong advantage for this game for sure.

Therefore, Galatasaray would be seen with high confidence even through Hajduk might provide some pressure on game so it should be aware of this during game.

Alanyaspor has opportunity to get surprise result against Rosenborg.

Alanyaspor would be debuting at Europa League with well-known side Rosenborg which has high amount of experience at European competition which does provide lots of advantage but it doesnt mean that Alanyaspor will not get surprise result.

In domestic league, Alanyaspor among Galatasaray are being 2 clubs which did get 2 out of 2 which certainly in confidence and motivation manner would provide positive outcome for this game. Therefore, getting into mood of winning but without forgetting its playing against side which are more experienced, it could provide self-confident against Norwegian side. As it tends to be case, importance and performance of Alanyaspor at defence would be playing role during game but it would be needing to provide good and strong counter-attacking play when it got chances.

It would be tough for Alanyaspor, but with some self-confidence it can get unexpected result on the end of the game.
