What happened in Turkish football today? 09/09/2020

Too much pressure of Clubs Union prevents anyone to become its CEO.

Clubs Union CEO Mehmet Sepil has announced his resignation from Union as he did provide signs that he didnt want to be in this position prior to previous CEO election with stating that he would like to focus more to his club Goztepe.

With so many factors being discussed right now at footballing world such as Covid19 measures and actions, issues with TFF and also payments with broadcaster, it is without doubt to be main representative of clubs could be very stressful work and could prevent to focus into also factors of club which is owned as it goes through same issues internally. In fact, due of this reasons it shouldnt be seen surprising that Besiktas CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi has declined an offer to become union CEO especially with taking into difficulties his club is going through right now without doubt. During previous CEO eleciton, Sepil didnt have choice to announce his candicacy as noone wanted to take place so it would be interesting to see who would take his place.

Obviously, club's union would be filled with someone but it is unclear who would like to take this position and same time focus on his own club issue.

Adem Buyuk joins Yeni Malatyaspor after leaving Galatasaray

Galatasaray ex-player Adem Buyuk has signed contract Yeni Malatyaspor after ending contract with Galatasaray with leaving 2 million TL of his salary as compensation.

With Buyuk being informed that he wouldnt recieve much of playing time due of high number of attackers, he has understandably left club as this wasnt expectable to him and decided to move to his previous club Yeni Malatyaspor where he is familiar and would be able to recieve much more playing time. With staying at Galatasaray which needs to be noted has been successful period, would in fact possibly make him even better player and provide positive impact to Yeni Malatyaspor during next season with getting some important goals without doubt.

Therefore, Adem Buyuk did return to club where he would be more comfortable and recieve much more playing time.

Kayserispor personnel got positive Covid19 result.

Kayserispor announcement that one of its personnel has got positive test result of Covid19 does provide reminder that situation both in country and in Turkish football is still not stable.

Even through we not seeing numbers which been as high on its peak, it does spread actively and approaces to 2,000 daily results, therefore all clubs would need to provide extra focus to preventing virus to spread both within club, whole football and also to community. Sadly, referralls which been send to PFDK from friendly games does show that those guidelines are not being following as strongly as would be expected. Therefore, for sure more actions needs to be done for prevention and directly to not getting fines in Super League which starts on 11th September.

Our page once again wishes fast recovery to Kayserispor personnel and everyone who is currently infected from virus.
