What happened in Turkish football today? 19/11/2018
Wounded Turkey would play against in-form Ukraine at friendly game.
Turkish National Team would be playing its last game of 2018 against Ukrainian National Team which compare to Turkey has been promoted to the upper league from League B to A with showing pretty impressive performance during this period.
It needs to be stated that with Turkey being relegated to the League C at Nations League after losing to Sweden, it would be coming out with not very good mood while Ukraine have lost last game to Slovakia, it would be coming out with great motivation as prior to that game it has been promoted with winning 4 out of 4 games in confident manner. This game therefore could be great test for Turkey to see against team are at good form and generally does get good results against them in recent history. Meanwhile, their are talks that many players has left squad and didnt want to play at this game for this being friendly game. Whatever reasons it is need to be known that all those players has been injured and been taken away from squad officially for that. It would be also an important game for Mircea Lucescu who has been criticised heavily due of poor results at his side and could be an opportunity at least to prove himself at capability to prove top performance at his position with young players.
Turkish National Team would be coming out at wounded and dissapointed mood while Ukraine would be psychologically at better form and this could affect performance of this friendly game.
Sivasspor has appointed Hakan Keles as club's head coach.
Sivasspor has announced its caretaker coach Hakan Keles as top position due of his great performance with team at recent games especially at Besiktas game and also showing good performance at training sessions.
At the period when it is hard to found replacement for head coaching position and also taking account that assistant coach seems to be having good understanding with players which reflects to the results, it is natural for Sivasspor to appoint Hakan Keles to such important position. Even through Hakan Keles doesnt have much experience at this position, he is certainly among potential coaches which can show good results both at short-term and long-term and would be giving at least period until mid-season break to prove his capability to be able to move team forward and if things wont go out as planned Sivasspor would be able to find replacement in mid-season break. As been mentioned, it is clear that Keles has provided positive mood towards side and this without doubt would be helping team to show good results with players trust and motivation.
Hakan Keles would now need to focus into upcoming games but as been mentioned as coach he is capable to fulfill his expectation.
Galatasaray are interested to transfer Lokomotiv Moscow player Manuel Fernandes
At transfer front, one of the discussing and interesting rumours at this area has been with Galatasaray showing strong interest to transfer Lokomotiv Moscow player Manuel Fernandes who also had spell beforehand at Besiktas.
With Galatasaray main focus to transfer an attacker, with good experience, it would be normal to see that team is interested with their Champions League opponent attacker with taking account that he has shown one of his performance in his career back in Besiktas. With this taking account their would not be much an issue with adapting to Super League as Fernandes can reach to this level. Another advantage for this transfer talks, is that it known that current relationship with Fernandes with Lokomotiv Moscow is not going well and player doesnt want to leave team if their is no revision to his salary. As it is known, Galatasaray would meet with Lokomotiv Moscow at Champions League next week, and during that period administrators might have one-on-one negotiations with opponent about Fernandes transfer.
As with all other transfer news, time would show how this story would develop but those are among rumours which can become reality with all circumstances taken in.
