Besiktas has lost to Sivasspor at very-high tension game.
Besiktas has lost to Sivasspor during pretty exciting and high tension Super League 12th week game as both sides has given their all to win this game with also number of VAR decisions playing an important part with final results.
It needs to be stated that Besiktas did start in good way with forward seeking football with also creating chances and finding an early goal during 11th minute from 19-year old Guven Yalcin with a great goal but after 3 minutes it has conceded a goal from Braz. Meanwhile, during both goals scored from Oguzhan Ozyakup has made mistakes especially during 2nd goal when he made unexpected mistake from the pass. With this result Besiktas is finding itself at 9 points behind and does have a difficult task to reduce this point difference and get to leadership race until mid-season break. Besiktas players needs to be admitted has provided lots of fighting spirit to get back to the game but in performance wise it was showing rushing game which provided some issues to the team at the front and back. Besiktas are not having good season at all right now both in Super League and Europa League and this national team break could be great opportunity for a team without doubt to still have aims for next calendar year.
Sivasspor meanwhile has provided a great performance with giving their all to get 3 points from this game and this effort did get pay back for all their efforts and with high focus and strategically right performance has got them important 3 points.
Besiktas among not great performance also seems to have an issue with supporters which could be related really for fans at performing high level performance during last 2 seasons. Supporters needs to show strong support right now however.
Fenerbahce has showed great organised game during 1st half against Alanyaspor.
Fenerbahce has continued its raise of positive results as it has won against Alanyaspor with 2:0 scoreline with another great performance from Mathieu Valbuena, as Erwin Koeman didnt lose for 3 games since being appointed to main role after Phillip Cocu has been sacked.
It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has started game in very organised way with providing high tempo and controlling game against Alanyaspor looking for chances with Mathieu Valbuena taking a lead role which hence has led for him to provide two assists to Ayew and also to Frey with 2nd goal coming from free-kick. Still as downsides it needs to be stated that club didnt carry on similar performance during 2nd half where it has lost its tempo and organisation which led for Alanyaspor to go forward and has been who has been created chances. With Alanyaspor failing to use their changes and also Fenerbahce managing to provide good defence, didnt led them to get into much trouble during game but it does look like one of the aspects which Erwin Koeman would need to work on during national team break is to find ways for team to perform for 90 minutes. Still, Fenerbahce has won last 2 games at the league and also drawn against Galatasaray with an average of 2 goals each game. This aspect would certainly provide strong motivation and confidence for the last weeks games during 1st half of the season.
Alanyaspor meanwhile carries on poor performance of the recent week and couldnt respond to organised game of Fenerbahce during 1st half and with opponents reducing tempo during 2nd half didnt help them to use this possibilites into its own advantage.
Fenerbahce has improved with its performance since Koeman has got into main role at the team and has changed psychology of the team with especially Mathieu Valbuena taking leading role of the team.
Galatasaray has shown strong organised game against Kayserispor.
Galatasaray has got an important win against struggling Kayserispor as it did come out to the game with number of the absences at the squad due of injury and bans and without head coach Fatih Terim at his coaching position but despite of all that has got 3:0 at the game.
It needs to be mentioned that main reason for such good reason for performance and more crucial get an away game, which it has an issue during last 2 seasons, was strong organisational performance and also Henry Onyekuru who has scored 2 goals on the night. Stating that it needs to be admitted that Kayserispor didnt show good performance themselves and didnt provide much an issue to Galatasaray and to some extend even through Istanbul side did show good performance and has deserved win, poor performance of their opponents has played some role for such comfortable on the night. As been stated, Galatasaray did show good performance but their opponents did allow them to show such game and it would become clear if team would be capable to carry on this performance with upcoming games in league until mid-season break.
