What happened in Turkish football today? 01/11/2018

Trabzonspor has shown good performance against Bugsasspor.

Trabzonspor has been able to start its 2018-19 season Turkish Cup campaign, being 1st team among big ones in Turkey, in good confident manner as it has won 2nd league Ankara side Bugsasspor as club has an aim to win competition next May.

As it tends to be an issue among big clubs, Trabzonspor has also started its early stages with letting chances of its youth and players which didnt recieve much of the playing time to start at the game and get confident at football field and prove themselves to head coach Unal Karaman. It needs to be stated that even through it would be hard to state that club has dominated game from start to beginning it was controlling it even through it did allow some chances to the opponent. It needs to be admitted that 2nd goal for Trabzonspor did come from luck but it did show good attacking game and this pressure has allowed Bugsasspor to make mistake which led to an own goal. The scoreline could be looking pretty modest at the end with 2:0 scoreline but Karaman is very likely to be satisfied with how club performed on the day.

Right now, Trabzonspor would be awaiting for its new opponent at last 16 which is very likely to be not Super League opponent due of surprising results we have seen so far at this stage.

Galatasaray does have injury problems while other players not showing great team work.

As all focus right now is given to the most important derby game at Turkish football, it needs to be stated that both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are not going without many issues right now even through Galatasaray issues seems to be really related to the squad.

Galatasaray recent issue has been dominated with injuries which has happened after national team break and also game against Bursaspor which has led also dropdown of performance in the recent games. With Galatasaray failing to provide strong performance and more crucially understanding between players, it does look to be having some lack of confidence and alternatives to improve performance. Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim is known to be unhappy and complaining that he is uncapable to create best team from current players and this without trouble effects to the side motivation. Meanwhile, Galatasaray did provide motivational boost with lunch that took place on 31st October and hence would except for players to be focussed into game and get a win at its home ground which is strong advantage for the side at the game against Fenerbahce.

Looking at the standings it is clear that Galatasaray does come out as favourite but in performance
wise their does have some crucial issues prior to game.

Fenerbahce has more mental pressure than physical.

If Galatasaray issue are mainly based into technical and physically aspect, than Fenerbahce issues is more related into psychologically as it has entered derby week without coach and also finding themselves 1 place above relegation zone.

The team has been prepared as it is known by Fenerbahce ex-coach Phillip Cocu assistant coach Edwin Koeman who to some extend doesnt have much pressure as he is placed for short period, but with importance of game does have an important role of motivating and letting players to focus to Galatasaray game. This stressful situation at Fenerbahce are very likely also to create pressure at finding goals as it does have problems in that issue and also playing away game against their main rivals would naturally push them to provide promising football for their fans as their would see it as good chance. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce needs to focus into game much more than their opponents and if their would achieve that their might get good result taking account that physically their not in much worser condition than their rivals. This would not an easy game mentally game for them but their have capacity to get unexpected result.

Therefore, its important for Fenerbahce players to focus to game believing that their can get result at the end of the day.
