What happened in Turkish football today? 16/11/2018
Turkey needs to win Sweden to stay at League B at Nations League.
Turkish National Team would be coming out to very crucial game against Sweden during Nations League League B Group 2 game where Turkey needs to win game if it wants to stay at this league and not being relegated to League C.
It also needs to remember that this is being last game for Turkey at Nations League while Sweden would have another game against Russia and hence Turkey cant afford to draw game as if Sweden wins Russia next game it would move to 2nd place and move to Turkey to last place. This is important for Turkish National Team to be aware and motivate them and stay focus. It also needs to be noted that with Sweden winning against Turkey and Russia next game would mean that their would get into top of the league and qualify to the League A which would make to some extend motivate more to the team as it could get into elite league mathematically at least. Hence, this game would not be as easy as it was previous game where Turkey with providing fighting spirit at the last minutes has turned around game from 1:2 to 3:2 and has shown great fighting spirit. With Turkey aiming to show similar performance during whole game could help them to win game for sure.
Therefore, there is lots of things at stake at this game and both teams would do their best to win game and hence it would pretty tough game for both sides but Turkey should use its advantage at playing home for sure.
Konyaspor has appointed Aykut Kocaman for 5 years
Konyaspor has announced its new head coach as Aykut Kocaman with 2.5 year contract as both sides have great history between each other and high plans for future.
After ending contract with Riza Calimbay in the start of the week, Konyaspor has focussed entirely to appoint Aykut Kocaman as its club head coach and negotiations between sides are going at right speed. It should be seen quite naturally for Konyaspor interest, as team had its best performance with Kocaman in recent history and hence the main aim of the team is to repeat this level of performance for rest of the season while it has been pretty dissapointed with Riza Calimbay state for the team and also performance. It is known that Aykut Kocaman would also like to come back to his old team and hence it would be seen normal for negotiations to go well and deal has been made at very short time. This deal could be signed for 2.5 seasons as clearly shows that Konyaspor does have long plans with Kocaman for sure.
This could be very good deal as Aykut Kocaman is seen for sure as best option for this position right now, with taking account other candidates which club has at its disposal.
Ryan Babel is likely to leave Besiktas in mid-season transfer window.
Uncertainty between Besiktas player Ryan Babel and his side is seems to carry on with especially latest movement from Babel to request raise his salary up to 3 million euro which team cant afford to do so.
It does look for now that Ryan Babel has high chance would be leaving team during mid-season transfer window if salary would not be made into agreement between sides. With taking account that due of financial issues which Besiktas is having right now, it cant afford to provide such high salary to its player right now and this could lead for Ryan Babel to leave team without gaining any cash for Besiktas, as he would make deal as free agent. Besiktas right now aims to find solution with Ryan Babel with extension of his contract and if this is not done how to make gain for potential transfer but it does seem to be issue as Babel doesnt show much cooperation with a side. Time would show if deal would be made between sides before mid-season transfer window opens.
Ryan Babel does show good performance right now and Besiktas would like to keep him but monetary issue between sides does provide some problems for Besiktas to control this situation.
