What happened in Turkish football today? 14/11/2018

Tolgay Arslan has been taken out of squad due of undiscipline behaviour.

Besiktas has announced that it has left its player Tolgay Arslan out of squad for undiscipline behaviour as would been expected and in fact our blog has discussed about this issue at our yesterday entry.

It is believed that this decision has been come from an attitude which was showed from Tolgay Arslan with demanding to recieve his salary regardless of the factor that club did promise to pay all his salary within 4 months with installments asking in return to sign document stating that club doesnt own him any money. With such refusal and also rumours that he was eating rice during Basaksehirspor half-time period if true could play an important role with this decision. As been stated at our blog yesterday, with Tolgay Arslan demand for money as player could be justified to some point but he still needs to provide professionalism and aim to give his all focus for performance for the team especially when side is not performing well. It is also expected for player to be sold during mid-season transfer window possibly to Stuttgart.

Even through our blog did defend player with his actions, but if player doesnt provide professional attitute and its not focussed to showing good performance, club is right to take him out of squad for sure.

Galatasaray doesnt close down an issue of PFDK decisions during derby game.

Galatasaray carries on providing showing its unhappiness with PFDK decisions which was given to its players, CEO Mustafa Cengiz and head coach Fatih Terim following scandalous Super League 11th week game against Fenerbahce.

Rather than focussing into their own behaviour during such game which was unexpactable and would be in fact be treated at similar manner or even worser by leading football nations it has focussed into its attention to referee, TFF and PFDK, trying to show themselves to be innocent following this incident. It is true that Fenerbahce could have recieved much more fines and bans following such an incident as many their players have been involved at such a fight but it would be not logical to state that Galatasaray fines and bans were unfair. Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz aiming to sound diplomatic by stating that their stance is not against other teams, does criticise TFF for its decision and also demands for members of PFDK to change decisions or get resigned, statements which could lead to another fines for Mustafa Cengiz. Meanwhile, it has been reported that it was decided by club for head coach Fatih Terim to stay quiet for this issue so he would not recieve much more bans.

Galatasaray does needs to accept those bans and fines and close this issue as by each statement their making their case even more harder and doesnt provide great viewpoint from outside.

Basaksehirspor are interested to transfer Trabzonspor player Burak Yilmaz.

With Trabzonspor leaving Burak Yilmaz out of squad, their coming discussion about his future at the club and potential moves from club during mid-season transfer window, with focus given to Istanbul sides.

The main favourite to transfer Burak Yilmaz during mid-season for now seems to be leaders fo the league Basaksehirspor which is reported to be willing to pay 2.5 million euro towards Trabzonspor. Another aspect which seems to make player closer to the team is also factor of that both Arda Turan and Emre Belozoglu, who are known to be close friend to the Burak Yilmaz are present at the team. Basaksehirspor which does have high aims for this season and also future would look forward to make such transfer even through it would raise arleady high average age of the side which seems to go up as Basaksehirspor raises its aims and targets each season. With about 1 and half month left until mid-season transfer window, we would see how this story would develop.

Meanwhile, it also reported that Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray are showing an interest towards Burak Yilmaz but Basaksehirspor does seem to be most willing as been mentioned.
