Besiktas has shown great comeback against Sarpsborg 08

Besiktas has shown great comeback at the Europa League Group J 5th week game against Sarpsborg 08 as it has turned out losing game with 2:0 after conceding during 1st 6 minutes but has managed to find crucial goals during last 30 minutes of the game and get 3:2 win.

With Besiktas being in the blink of elimination with 1-game in hand as each game at this group is being very important and competitive, the belief which was shown by Istanbul side during 2nd half has led team to get one of the most important wins of its season. It needs to be noted however that Besiktas did start game in pretty poor performance during 1st half with conceding first two goals during duration of 6 minutes from simple mistakes from Besiktas goalkeeper Loris Karius and even has almost conceded goal during 8th minute. In fact,those conceded goals took time for Besiktas to get back into high level performance level but as team managed to keep scoreline with 2:0 scoreline and adding performance it has managed to get such an important win at the end of the day. Jeremain Lens without doubt has become hero of the game with finding 2 goals during game including ones at the end of the game and Besiktas right now is at 2nd place at the group.

With Sarbsborg 08 still showing great performance as it did start competition as weakest link at the group with finding 2 early goals and showing an attacking game and being very close to qualify for knockout stages. Stating that their are 2 points behind Besiktas and still have good chances to get to the next stage of the tournament.

Besiktas did show great comeback but still it needs to figure out and study why it has started game in such poor performance and aim to improve performance for last game at the group against Malmo.

Fenerbahce has qualified to knockout stage despite of poor performance.

Fenerbahce has qualified to the next stage of the Europa League with getting goalless draw against Dinamo Zagreb as Spartak Trnava has also drawn against Anderlecht but it needs to be admitted that Fenerbahce has provided very poor performance on the day.

Only player at Fenerbahce which tried to show some positive performance during game has been Michael Frey who aimed to create chances and has done best to create chances for himself but with other players not being to show similar performance. Fenerbahce players didnt create high amount of the chances during game and didnt find any high-attacking moments. To some extend Fenerbahce even through did qualify it has provided very poor performance in all of the games and doesnt provide much hope for the future at the Super League and knockout stages. It does look like that Fenerbahce would carry on similar performance until mid-season break and would need to make high amount of the changes at the football side on mid-season break if it wants to improve its performance.

Meanwhile, Dinamo Zagreb on other side has secured its knockout stage and only needing draw for top place has provided performance according to this result with adding some extra performance during last minutes of the games and has become strongest team at the group with game in hand.

Fenerbahce as been mentioned has provided pretty poor performance despite of qualifying its group and its now important for team to build much better side for knockout stages at the tournament.

Akhisarspor has lost again despite of good performance. 

Akhisarspor has shown another good performance during its Europa League Group J campaign despite of carrying losing games but has managed to end 1st half with 1:0 scoreline but during 2nd half has conceded 2 goals.

With taking account of potential performance which team can perform at Europe and also comparing with how side performs in real life, Akhisarspor has provided most strong performance despite of losing all of the games. It has also shown good attacking game during 1st half and has controlled game and creating high amount of the chances. With remembering that Krasnodar did come out to the game with an aim for a win for knockout stage chances, Akhisarspor should be stated at high note. Galatasaray has lost against Lokomotiv Moscow with providing poor performance.

Galatasaray has lost its chance to qualify towards Champions League knockout stages following Group D 5th week game against Lokomotiv Moscow without being able to show any competive and fighting spirit at the crucial game, with opponents showing much more attacking game and has been much more organised.

Galatasaray did start game with showing some attacking game but even then it wasnt showing any high organised chances and has been showing pretty simple tactics and didnt surprise with their performance to Lokomotiv Moscow at all. Galatasaray didnt show any creativity and has conceded two very simple goals from Lokomotiv which looked to be knowing better what it needs to be done to win game. This performance most worrying showed that Galatasaray players has lacked fighting spirit and didnt show much focus into game. Of course, some blame could be thrown to weather condition but it needs to be remembered that Lokomotiv has played in same field which has been by the way in very good form at the stadium. Right now Galatasaray does have chance to end group at 3rd place as long as it wins against Porto.

Lokomotiv Moscow even through didnt show best performance has made it look that it wanted to win this game and has found two goals from simple mistakes from Galatasaray defenders and has got chance for 3rd place if their get results which their seek for.

Galatasaray has lost an important game and has lost chance for Champions League and now are losing chance even to get to Europa League as their 1 point ahead of Lokomotiv Moscow and would need to get at least draw against Porto.

Besiktas needs to win against Sarpsborg 08.

Besiktas would be coming out to one of its important games at least of the 1st half of the season as it would be playing against Norwegian side Sarsborg 08 and needs to win game if it wants to be at knockout stages of the tournament.

Fenerbahce has chance to fight for leadership at group as it would aim to payback Dinamo Zagreb 4:1 loss.

Even through Fenerbahce does have very difficult season at the Super League without doubt and also didnt provide to some extend very promising performance at some games at Europa League, surprisingly it does seem to be most relaxed side at Europe for this season.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to the game against Dinamo Zagreb, which has got 100% record and 4:1 win against Fenerbahce at 1st game at the group, with getting draw would provide strong advantage to get to the knockout stages as it is 4 points ahead of Spartak Trnava and with a win could hope to get to leading position, which would provide an advantage for side, as it would reduce point difference to 2 points. Stating that with Dinamo Zagreb would be aiming to come out to the game either to secure its leadership with 1 week left and/or get 100% record of group stage. In either case, Dinamo Zagreb would be coming to get a win. With Fenerbahce still has chance to get 1st place and also have an oppornity to respond to 4:1 loss in previous game could certainly provide an additional motivation for the side for the game playing at home. Also, win would certainly provide an important motivational boost following loss to Trabzonspor.

Galatasaray needs to win Lokomotiv Moscow at least to secure Europa League.

As Champions League is entering to the last 2 weeks of the group stage, Galatasaray would be coming out to an important game against Lokomotiv Moscow as it needs to win at any cost if it wants to find itself at European football following New Year Eve.

Galatasaray is currently 3 points behind 2nd-placed Schalke 04 and 5 points behind Porto and also 4 points ahead of 4th placed Lokomotiv Moscow which has 0 points at Group D. With Galatasaray having 4 points at its hand, win or draw against Lokomotiv Moscow would mean that it would quarentee Europa League knockout stages but without doubt it also has some chance to get to the Champions League last 16 stage even through it does look to be hard as it is directly related to Porto - Schalke 04 game which would take place against them and also last week games, as it has lost advantage against Schalke 04. The best what could Galatasaray do during today's game is forget of course all of this calculation during game as it would need to win the game at any circumstances to find itself at European competitions next calendar year. This decision would certainly provide some unsatisfaction for some people as their was expectation for both or at least one of them to recieve very harsh punishment but referee committee in its own right decided not to rush with its decision and dont follow populist view as for now it has led them do not referee number of the weeks. It needs to be admitted however that their are information that both referees are aware of their mistakes and in fact Central Referee Committee CEO is unhappy with such decision and it could be expected that some much more harder punishment would be given following this incident with referees.

Time would show what kind of punishment would be given but it is clear that this incident situation has not been closed both by committee and TFF.

Basaksehirspor has raised point difference with 2nd placed side to 5 points. 

Basaksehirspor is continuing its leadership at the Super League as it has managed to win Goztepe with 2:0 scoreline during 13th week game and has raised point difference with 2nd placed, also suprising side, Kasimpasa to 5 points as Galatasaray lost 2 points.

One of the main questions at Turkish football community is would Basaksehirspor, which has been inside title race during last 3 seasons, will be able to win title as even through its hard to state that side is showing same quality performance as in previous seasons, its still very organised side and all of its direct opponents are having poor seasons. It needs to be reminded that their are still 21 weeks until end of the season and 63 points available so it is hard to state that Basaksehirspor will get title or not but it does have 5 point advantage right now and with performance its shows with aiming and providing positive football it can reach great end of the season which team has been fighting and dreaming for number of the seasons. Trabzonspor has dominated game against Fenerbahce.

Trabzonspor has shown one of its most-attacking games during recent seasons and without doubt one of the best performance against Fenerbahce in recent years which has led them to win game with 2:1 scoreline even through it could have ended with bigger scoreline if wasnt for Harun Tekin.

This game has been an important and crucial one for both sides due of their position at the league but it does look that side which has shown high concentration to the game and awareness of seriousness of game has been Black Sea side. Among providing high tempo game against Fenerbahce, it has also provided at very organised performance and to some extend each attack has been effective and could have ended with an goal to Fenerbahce goal. However, with great performance by Fenerbahce goalkeeper Harun Tekin, who also has saved penalty kick during game, Trabzonspor didnt manage to win game with bigger scoreline. One of the positive aspects that this missed penalty which has come before goals of Trabzonspor, didnt let them lose concentration and showing great performance as game progressed. It was also important for side to show forward-seeking effective game without its leading attacker Burak Yilmaz and with him being taken out of squad and likely to leave mid-season, has shown sign that it can show good performance.

Ali Durust has changed his mind about resignation

TFF administrator Ali Durust who has announced his resignation on 24th November, following Super League 13th week game between Galatasaray and Konyaspor penalty arguments, has announced that he has changed his mind.

This decision has been seen as big surprise, even more than his resignation, as by many people including Galatasaray fans this resignation has been seen as right decision. However, in overall Fenerbahce needs to consider why it didnt show great performance until game of the scoreline has turned into 2:1, as after scoring it has started to showing much better attacking game as game has progressed. Fenebrahce player Islam Slimani meanwhie has continued to show pretty poor performance without scoring goal even through he did get high amount of the chances and has been lucky for not having strong alternative in his place or otherwise he will not be able to carry on playing game.

Tension between Galatasaray and TFF is building up.

Tension between Galatasaray and TFF as it is known has got into new heights following giving penalty to Konyaspor at the 87th minute at the position where Serdar Aziz has prevented Skubic with rules.

Besiktas has got a comfortable win against Ankaragucu.

Besiktas has managed to get pretty comfortable win against Ankaragucu as it has won Super League 13th week game with 4:1 scoreline even through it was expected that Besiktas could have a tough game due of form of their opponents.

It needs to be noted that disallowed goal from VAR during 17th minute has provided some more motivation from Besiktas as 2 goals between 23rd and 27th minute has become key for Istanbul side to get this win. Galatasaray has lost 2 points against Konyaspor due of penalty which never was there. 

Super League 13th week game between Galatasaray and Konyaspor has been ended with 1:1 scoreline as game has been mainly dominated with last minute penalty decision towards Galatasaray goal and aftermath it had with referee not watching replay at VAR screen.

With VAR system sometimes being praised and criticised at Super League at its first season, it has shown one of the biggest failures during this season as clearly non-penalty decision has led for Galatasaray to lose important 2 points, as Serdar Aziz has clearly touched ball first and later to the leg due of natural movement of the position. Besiktas would be resuming its Super League campaign with 13th week game against Ankaragucu which has been moved to Kayseri due of condition of the field as Besiktas would be coming out to the game with some crucial absences.

It has been found out that Besiktas players Ryan Babel and Pepe would not be able to playing during game due of the injuries which has been recieved with their national sides during international break and hence would be missing two of its key players for such crucial game. Meanwhile, it is also known that Ankaragucu has been specifically unhappy for game location to be changed by TFF 1 day before the game, an issue which would be discussed at this blog below. But it is clear that this would provide some difficulty for Ankaragucu as it would lose its opportunity to play game as home team, and with taking that it has started showing good performance in recent period this would provide lots of difficulty in sense of concentration and motivation of the game. Besiktas meanwhile does find itself 9 points behind league leaders Basaksehirspor and get afford to lose such crucial game against Ankaragucu as it would even find its position even harder for rest of the game this season. Surely, Besiktas would be coming with sole aim to get 3 points.

Staying with Ankaragucu and Besiktas game, Ankaragucu administration has shown disbelief and anger towards TFF which has decided to move game to the Kayseri due of poor condition of the field at its home ground Yenikent Stadium.

Quite rightly, Ankaragucu has become specifically unhappy for checking of the field has been done 1 day before Besiktas game and has provided news that field is not in good condition at such short notice. Ankaragucu has also reminded that the games of this season has been played at this stadium and even through of poor field condiiton, games has been played in good manner. Club also has stated that it did consider to go into drastic measures of not coming out to the game but with considering circumstances such taking away points and fine it has changed its mind and at last moment has made deal with Kayseri Kadir Has Stadium game to take place there. It does need to state that this decision of moving to stadium is not acceptable of course, as change of stadium at such short notice would provide discomfort to players and even more to fans and would have circumstances at game tomorrow.

It is true that this decision has been made for good of players and quality of game but it should been made days or even weeks beforehand not day before of kick-off of game.

Galatasaray is expected to have tough game against Konyaspor.

Turkish Super League would be restarted following not very good national team campaign for Turkey with 13th week game between Galatasaray and Konyaspor which also is being among most awaited games of this week.

As it is known, due of high number of the bans and injuries which Galatasaray has it would have a trouble at having perfect starting 11 during the game and even through the team did show good performance during last week against Kayserispor, it needs to be admitted that their opponents has been weak. This time their would be meeting with Konyaspor who has appointed Aykut Kocaman for 2.5 years and hence would be playing against team and coach who would like to have good start at his new team. This game is also important for Besiktas so it wont be able to raise point difference of 4 points against Basaksehirspor and keep its high aims for league title and also get an important motivational and confidence boost prior to crucial Champions League game against Lokomotiv Moscow next week. An issue of playing game without Fatih Terim at coaching position would also direct affect of game.

Hamburg are interested to transfer Besiktas player Tolgay Arslan. 

Transfer rumours of problematic Besiktas player Tolgay Arslan who is currently is not included at squad does continue to take place as new side which is interested with player is being Hamburg.

Tolgay Arslan did play for Hamburg previously which could be among reasons why German side might be showing an interest towards him as it could see chance to make good deal with him. Mircea Lucescu does have difficult job at creating new national team but he doesnt show much improvement in this period.

Turkish National Team has completed its international games calendary year of 2018 with having goalless draw against Ukraine which to some extend does describe whole this year as it wasnt able to provide great performance with head coach Mircea Lucescu.

This period has been mainly dominated with head coach Mircea Lucescu making a project to make side younger for upcoming games and building new and potential team for Euro 2020 qualifiers. Even through the idea itself is good one and would be good investment for future, its hard to state that Lucescu is making this project into reality very effectively. It is true that it would be not right to expect great results from this young players, but an issue here that their is not much improvement which could be noticed and this of course fault of the Mircea Lucescu. His complaints that players are unexperience and doesnt find lots of playing time are right and cant be argued about legitimacy but it is his job to find solutions for this issues and it does look that he does have serious issue at solving it. Now TFF does have an option either to keep him at this role or follow media pressure at firing him and possible have another new start.

It is true that Lucescu is asking time and it would not be an easy journey but he needs to show improvement during this process but he seems to be failing with providing that sadly.

Trabzonspor CEO Ahmet Agaoglu has announced his candidacy as club's CEO.

Trabzonspor CEO Ahmet Agaoglu has stated that he would be running as CEO candidate for upcoming election which would take at the end-start of November- December as it does look like he would be single candidate.

It needs to be stated that financially Trabzonspor as a team is not at great position as it has ongoing debts to be giving to ex-players and coaches and also are not at easy situation. With this taking into account not many people would like to be CEO at such club which are at big mess and needs lots of the cash. With Ahmet Agaoglu knowing best about situation of the club and also willing to carry on providing cash to the team, it is logical for him to stay as main candidate for this position. Even through Trabzonspor does have difficult condition economically as team he is still had good reign at the club and did move team forward during this process while being CEO. So it would be reasonable for him to stay as he has some important plans for the team and certainly project to move team forward both with performance and also at economically, so it would be logical for him to stay at such position following an election.

With no other candidate seems to be present, Ahmet Agaoglu would be reelected and aim to move team forward for upcoming period of time and have new plans to achieve that for sure.

Fenerbahce player Ferdi Kadioglu needs to recieve some playing time, either at club or be send to other club as loan player. 

Fenerbahce player Ferdi Kadioglu manager Karl Jansen has stated that he would like for his player to be loaned to another team as he doesnt recieve any playing time at his club, stating that player is at age where best experience comes from playing.

Foremost it needs to be noted that Karl Janssen is absolutely right with this observation as Kadioglu being 19-year old needs to get used to the field at crucial games and hence develop his skills especially when he shows great performance at training sessions at his level. If Fenerbahce head coach Erwin Koeman, in his rightfully decisions, doesnt plan to use Kadioglu at least during this season for whatever reason he should be considering to loan him to other club as it is important for player to develop for future seasons. Of course, if Koeman does quarentee that he would be using effectively Kadioglu in rest of this season, than he should recieving playing times. Ferdi Kadioglu has been signed as potential star to the team and it is now important for this player to get as much as experience at the football field as he can to develop to become future star both for the team and also personal development.

It does look that this meeting would be important both for Kadioglu and Fenerbahce and whatever decision will be made about his future, he should recieve time as soon as possible.
