What happened in Turkish football today? 08/05/2020

TFF are not aware of risks which could arisen from resuming league...

Criticism towards decision from TFF to restart leagues on 12th June, even through its been noted this decision is been made for "now", continues recieving criticism from different bodies as TFF fails to provide any quarantee of health security when games would be starting.

This blog during recent period of weeks did mention that it does look that focus of the TFF and with some of footballing community does move from "health first" to "money first" psychology.
Whenever, TFF CEO Nihat Ozdemir, who in all fairness doesnt provide strong control of body fight against Covid-19 pandemic in football, start discussing about financial circumstances which it is currently at. One of the main criticism did come from Science Committee in this day, as he did state that whenever any footballer would get Covid19 positive outcome whole club would be put into quarantine for 14-days. But it looks like TFF has only guideline that player would be counted as injured, as been stated beforehand this only shows how much as federation it has lack of information regarding of this virus. In this condition and view from TFF it would be unsafe to restart league on June. It does look like once again government would enter to solve mistakes which TFF is showing.

TFF once again is not showing strong trustful organisation which would be able to provide health measures to clubs once again, and this is being worrying image if leagues to be resumed.

...especially if someone gets positive Covid19 test.

Fenerbahce following some time of requesting clarity from TFF regarding if some cases would get into positive outcomes when league will be resumed, did report that one of its workers did get positive outcome while other worker is having suspection.

It became clear today that those worker 2nd test which been taken today did turn out to be negative, which once again provides into uncertainty of this virus and also trust of tests. Club has reported that both workers would be kept into self-isolation and whole club would be taken another tests for Covid 19 on 11th May. As TFF did announce for leagues to be resumed, we are seeing some results from football community from team tests even through being low but still exists. Problematic issue as been stated that if this did happen during league atmosphere it is unclear how would continue. Sadly, according to TFF actions, it is hard to predict what would happen if it would be happen next month as TFF itself is not aware.

Turkey is not in control of Covid19 in country even through its much better condition then it was before. Once again actions which bodies want to make and which are needed are different, and TFF needs to take this into consideration.

IFAB approved for 5 substitutes to take place until end of the season.

Even through its not entirely clear how is this connected to Covid19 prevention, IFAB has announced that teams would be allowed for 5 substitutions during 90 minutes with temporary rule added until end of 2019-20 season.

This rule is been added in more or less for tactical reasons as due of possibility of lack of training session and possibly for injury to be more, teams would be allowed to make some 5 substitutes and naturally would affect into tactical gamewise. In fact, even through idea is still to prevent injuries, the main way it would likely to be used would be into tactical performance. In addition, IFAB has stated that for not affecting continuation maximum of substites would be only allowed 3 times per game. In addition, IFAB has provided an option for some federation to cancel VAR system which does have Covid19 effects, as it would prevent for VAR referees to stay close to each other in VAR room and keep social distancing.

There is being new normal in all aspects in everyday life, and this change would be one in football community of many.
