What happened in Turkish football today? 16/05/2020

TFF only aim to continue league due of economical reasons.

Turkish Football Federation CEO Nihat Ozdemir has once against made it clear that they  are focussed to complete this season with preferable date on 12th June but does have plans to move this date towards July if circumstances allow.

Most importantly factor however during his statement has been note that their is no questions for leagues to be cancelled as some circumstances will not be allowing to do so. It has been especially noticed that, in same manner as during previous statements from Ozdemir, he has been focussed into financial importance to complete season and didnt discuss much about health issues with only stating that if someone does get positive test during leagues, it would be continuing in similar way. Therefore, it did once again worrying and sadly been clear that TFF are more focussed for reason to continue leagues purely due of economical reasons and not much focussed into health without providing clear answers how their would be able to provide healthy measures if virus would be spreading among during that period.

Unfortunately, it became clear that TFF wants to continue leagues purely due of economy reasons without focussing much into health risks.

UEFA provided small threat to leagues which will not be completed.

It needs to be noted also, as it became clear from Alexandr Ceferin statements, that even through UEFA does provide sign of respecting decision for leagues to postpone list, it does state that in leagues which will not be completed those clubs could see qualification.

It is interesting to see that UEFA and some domestic leagues does provide view of whatever happens and how virus would be spreading in society it is focussed to complete season and has promised that its own competitions would be completed on August.Interestingly, and its been stated on previous posts, it is expected that virus would be expected to lose its effectiviness on August unless their would be strong 2nd wave, which does mean it does put other domestic leagues with such decision into even more risk then its own competitions. Comment that leagues where leagues would not be completed might get qualification tournament is other issue and could be seen as small threat with pressuring for leagues to be completed in their own countries.

Without doubt, one of the main of this is being pressure for completing season is also similarly is with domestic leagues is being financial rather then sportive or health issues.

Clubs would need to go to army style training camp to reduce chance for virus to spread

It does look that all clubs would not have any positive tests prior to restart of the Super League would be needed to go to army camp style training camp at least 1-2 weeks prior to restart of the season, for them not to get infected.

With players travelling to home and regardless how minumum are having interactions outside of their own home and training facilities would mean it would be risking to get virus into their own system and without doubt one of their ways to do so is to get into closing of themselves into facilities so their would not be getting risks of getting infected in this period. With high number of cases at Besiktas, it is reported that when it would be meeting again and with all cases hopefully coming as negative, it would go into this system with only people who connected to football side would be allowed to reduce risk of getting infected from virus into the community. This system needs to be done with all sides prior to start of league to reduce possibilities for infected cases.

Clubs certainly would need to do many things and follow rules prior to restart of the season and even more after it would be resumed possibly on 12th June.
