What happened in Turkish football today? 15/05/2020

Galatasaray personnel has got infected from Covid19.

List of people who have got Covid 19 positive results continues to be growing as Galatasaray late night on 14th May has announced that one of its personnel has got positive result from Covid19 tests.

As would been expected, Galatasaray has stopped its training sessions for 6 days with following protocol to prevent spread of virus at football community. With clubs carrying on having results and making them public, with some clubs even through still didnt do this, does make it clear that virus is currently spreading at football community with putting questions for now at least that it would be safe for restarting season on 12th June with possibility for TFF to go with revision with this date. Galatasaray has also announced that it would go through another test after break from training is over.

Our page as always wishes fast and good recovery for whole club and particular personnel who has got infected by Covid19.

Fenerbahce general director Burak Kizilhan has announced he is one with Covid19.

Fenerbahce general director Burak Kizalhan has announced that following last week news that one personnel he is one who got positive result from Covid 19 tests with stating that he is recovery is going through in good manner.

With providing personnel decision to do so, he made his announcements stating that he is going through recovery in good manner but reminded followers to keep on being careful in this period as this virus could be getting anyone and hence its important to continue to practice social distancing as danger still exists both in Turkey and whole world. With going through 1 week of recovery, it is expected that he would be healed from this virus within week and be able to get back into work.

It is pleasant to see that Kizilhan is not seriously infected and would carry on with calm and fast recovery from virus.

Its unsafe to start league on 12th June.

With cases at Turkish football community being coming out during last 3 days, it is clear that its both unsafe to restart season on 12th June both in sense of health and also due of lack of training session since some clubs due of quarantine will not be able to train for some amount of time.

Decision to restart season has been criticised since TFF announced that it would be unsafe to restart league on 12th June with some people in community foreseeing for events which took place to happen. Unfortunately, it does look that TFF who are for now, despite of saying "for now" are highly detirmined to start league on 12th June. As readers of the blog, would be aware its been stated several times here that wanting to restart league on specific date is one thing and needing is different with it being dominated. Drop of daily cases in country did provide dangerous view by some people but things are getting into normal but its hard to state so, with cases tend to raise on days when there is no curfew. Secondly, even if situation does get better in country, its not case at footballing world as we having highest number of cases, confirmed, right now and this trend is likely to continue for some time sadly.

Therefore, it would be most logical thing to at least to move on further date, restart date. TFF states 12th June is for now date since it looks to be safe, but surely thats not case right now.
